I'm late to the party, but Butterfly Meadows from The Candle Source is EXCELLENT!

I used KY parasoy tart wax for several years before switching things up. I ALWAYS had dimples with that wax, no matter the size or shape. The way wax is refined varies from batch to batch, so you'll likely always experience variables to contend with. I can tell you that the average person doesn't even notice the dimples, nor do they care. With that said, I understand the desire to only offer and sell things that pass our standards. So, here's your tip for removing the dimples... Add some container wax to your mix. You'll have to experiment with the percentage that works for you, but start with about 15% container and 80% parasoy tart wax. Hope this saves your sanity ❤️ I don't get on here very often anymore, but just passing on a helpful tip that may help others down the road too.

Lack of feedback from Nurture oils in terms of wax has prevented me from trying them just yet. Not all FO's work great in wax. NONE of the oils from Essentials by Catalina work well in my wax -- they either won't bind or won't throw. So, just because most oils from suppliers work well with all applications doesn't mean it's that way from every supplier. I'm sure I'll pull the trigger one day, but I have several hundred samples to keep me busy from other places

All fragrance oils were stronger prior to everyone going phthalate free to suit the b&b industry. Other old timers like me will remember Bert's Heaven Scent fragrance oils. You couldn't touch the strength and quality of her oils....and man do I miss $9.99/lb For the person looking for Cherry Tobacco..... Indigo Fragrance Oil. It's nothing short of amazing <3

Avoid the 'masculine' cologne line for wax. They are the biggest hit or miss company I've ever used. I have a few staples, but the rest are incredibly weak. Teak Bamboo, Arugula, and Verbena Bamboo are crazy strong in parasoy! Vanilla Cardamom is great as a blender.

Maybe "laundry" is the wrong term. It definitely has that sharp clean top note....at least to my nose. Don't get me wrong. I really like it. I would like to see a true Patchouli Amber without the baby powder, but the powdery vibe always seems to follow anything with amber notes.

I blend three different waxes to create my own parasoy blend. I don't think the wax would matter in a case like this. Black Vanilla is simply a mild FO.

I'm a little late to this party, but I've been carrying their Black Vanilla for years. It is one of the best earthy scents for b&b stuff, but I never could get it to throw in wax. I begged and pleaded with the FO, but he's as stubborn as I am. Pfft! lol

I've never tried Filmore, but if they're Cranberry Citrus smells like Peak.....then, no, Mandarin Cranberry from Flaming does not smell like Cranberry Citrus. Mandarin Cranberry, to my nose, smells exactly like the Yankee version...and that makes me uber happy! I love it, but can't give it away Gonna have to find something to mix it with for some appeal. Flaming has some really (really) good oils, along with a few duds as any vendor does. I find most of their fruity scents to need some work. The Tobacco Caramel you mentioned does smell very similar to CS Coriander Tonka as mentioned above. They both remind me of Aquolina's Blue Sugar for men. It's good and strong! Some of my other favorites from Flaming: Roasted Pine Cones Fire Roasted Marshmallows - smells just like BBW Marshmallow Fireside Ancient Incense - dead ringer to Moonworks Fresh Outdoors Woodland Foliage Patchouli Amber - customers don't overly care for this one, as it has a strong clean/laundry note Sugar Cookie Royale

You also need to consider your wax melt packaging while you're experimenting. Too much of the container wax and your wax won't "pop out" of clamshells and the like. Just figured I'd throw that extra tidbit in there in case you hadn't considered it.

There is no difference between the two. There are just multiple names people use to describe their wax.....tarts, wax melts, scent shots, etc.

I've used this wax in my blend for over 8 years. I've ALWAYS heated it higher than the directions. No problems. Ever.

I purchased Karma from FB three-ish years ago. It was weak and lacked the depth of the true Karma ((it's my favorite from Lush -- I have it in all the things)), so I just renamed it at the time. Fast forward to about six months ago. I placed another order for it because I was starting to run low. I'm not sure what happened, but in a matter of months, FB upped their game on this fragrance. It is absolutely wonderful and surprisingly close to the real deal. Now toss in Flaming's version... they currently have two of them. The first version wasn't skin safe, so they've marked them down to $12.99/lb -- I recommend either version, as both are VERY good!! I love having two places I can purchase Karma from. On a side note, if you happen to love Dirty from Lush, then I highly recommend the one from Flaming! The one from FB is good, but the one from Flaming is so very close to my shower gel from Lush <3

I'm about to make your day. The dupe is at Fragrance Buddy. It's called Forest Nymph. You're welcome Moonworks got the dupe of Bert's Redwood & Cedar back in the day. She called it Forest Nymph. When she went out of business, Fragrance Buddy duped her dupe. So, yes, there are mild differences to it, but overall, it's the same oil.

The wax I used was discontinued by the supplier. There was no way I was going to go through another rigorous testing session on a new wax. Honestly, I don't miss them. Tarts sell better for us anyway

I took a trip to Flaming the other day to check out their new oils. Needless to say, I came home with three of them -- would have come home with more, but I already carried some of them. The Rain Water they carry smells just like the one Candle Science had/has -- not sure CS even has that one anymore...haven't carried that one for some time, so I haven't had the need to look. The one that surprised me the most was Bacon. I've steered away from all of the bacon scents for fear they smelled like dog treats Their bacon is wow!! It smells so very good!! HIckory BBQ Smoke was another I brought home with me. Good and strong, and no, it doesn't smell like BBQ sauce It smells more like a cookout on the grill in the summer....as if the wood is glazed in a hickory BBQ scent. Very nice and unique! Driftwood is another that came home with me. It does not smell like the one from CS that I can recall (it's been a minute since I smelled theirs). This one is woodsy/slightly masculine. Not super strong, but very pleasant to the nose. . Their Beach Wood is very nice, but I already have that one. I personally didn't care for their Blueberry Cheesecake, but everyone has their own preferences. I personally like the one from CS better. The only one I didn't like at all was Spa something. It was nice, but I picked up fruit notes I wouldn't expect nor want in a spa scent. Hope this info helps some of you in deciding to try some of their new oils. I will continue to buy from them as long as their open. Travis & Hannah are some of the nicest people I've ever worked with!! Best customer service I've had! <3

Tobacco Caramel and Coriander & Tonka smell very similar to each other. In fact, they both smell like Blue Sugar to me! As for Suede.... have you tried Suede & Lace from Fragrance Buddy? OOB it smells like Suede to me.... or very close.

I purchased samples of all of the new ones..... even bit the bullet and bought a few pounds of some of them. This is the first time in a while that none of them wowed me. They still remain one of my favorites. Yes, there are a lot of duds, but show me a supplier who doesn't have them.

This is one of the few grapefruit FO blends that throws like a beast in parasoy tarts! Love this oil

This wasn't one that stood out. It's warm and nutty, but then, so are so many other scents. It did have a pretty decent throw in parasoy though.

I have. Im not a bakery fan, and I honestly don't know what a macadamia nut cake should smell like. What I do know is that there are no coconut notes in this one, but I suppose you could add in some coconut cream pie or something? This scent is warm and nutty...kinda like her pistachio scents if you've tried those. Hope this helps

We carried this one years ago. Put it in wax. Put it in cp soap. It is great in both!
