  1. Popped in to look at their site. Zero scent descriptions. Not a fan of that. O won't try a company that fails to put that simple necessary info on their site.
  2. I noticed that too when I went to reorder it -- grrrrr!!! I give my customers an early warning when a scent is going to be discontinued. The same courtesy would be nice of our suppliers.
  3. I ended up ordering 16 of the new scents. The only one in wax currently is Grey Dawn. I'm a fan. Anyone have a clue what cologne dupe this is? Haven't thought to ask LS yet...wasn't even sure if they would divulge that info. I was pleased with most of them OOB.
  4. Aroma Haven - Fresh Lemon Slices even travels down into my basement! Awesome straight lemon.
  5. Ummmm, we carry over 300 fragrances... An inventory is an absolute must! Luckily, organization is one of my strong suits. I created an Excel spreadsheet. They're sorted by supplier. They contain the oils (alphabetically, of course) -- both my name and the original name given by the supplier, whether they're skin safe, any soaping notes, and how many extra bottles I have on hand. My extra bottles are separated by supplier and alphabetized. May seem extreme to some, but I can't afford not to be this organized.
  6. So, I went by there Tuesday. Smelled the Maple Pumpkin -- I picked up mostly maple, so I got a sample to bring home and put in my wax to make a final decision. It is good and strong though! Yeah, I could have saved some of you the trouble on Golden Sands -- it smells NOTHING like the JS version (which is the one I use). Theirs is just way too light and almost non-existent. The same goes for most of their fruity scents. They're just too weak in my opinion. They got back the duped samples of Earthen Oak and Ancient Incense -- I gave them the green light for ordering. They nailed them. Floral Muse is now in their warehouse, but can't recall if it's been added to the site yet or not. It's wonderful! I picked up a few new ones while I was there: Basil Sage & Mint (better than the Only Fragrance version we used to carry -- I think their version was called Purple Sage & Mint), Black Ginger & Bamboo (this one is really nice....the ginger tones down the sharp edges of bamboo), Frankincense & Myrrh (I like the CS version better, but this one is different enough to call it something else -- it's almost powdery at the top, but warm enough that our earthy fans will approve), and Bamboo & Orchid (I smell zero bamboo in this one -- it's too light for tarts, but it's such a pretty scent that I decided to try it for our b&b products -- will rename this one) I had them dupe Sandalwood Rose from Southern Gardens (now Pure Fragrance Oils) -- SG was wanting $43/lb last time I ordered it. I only had a little bit left over to send them for duping. Their duped version is coming out soon if not already There were a few that I didn't purchase, but only because I have something similar. These smell good: Firewood, Fire Roasted Marshmallows (this one reminds me of Cedarwood Vanilla from CS a little bit), Blue Sugar, Banana Nut Bread (mostly banana and nut...don't detect the bread), Be Enchanted (no clue what the original smells like though), Downy April Fresh, Island Fresh Gain, Leather, Mandarin Cranberry, Monkey Farts (smells like banana taffy).... I need to get there one day early enough where I can sit down and take notes on each fragrance they offer.
  7. Okay just had a very quick browse.... Something tells me that they're just a chandler who decided to buy oils in bulk and then open up a fragrance oil supply company as well. You can give an oil a new name, but it's not worth much if it's just renamed from another supplier. I don't know....maybe I'm being cynical today. With only 19 fragrances available though.....
  8. Good job, Scented. I'm trying to dwindle down my suppler list, not increase it But a Florida supplier?? May have to give them a try since I'm in Georgia
  9. I'm actually not a fan of their Apple Strudel. I found it to be very light and lacking the proper bakery notes. Most of Aztec oils have been duds for me so I stopped using them. The two good ones that did stand out for me were French Vanilla Latte and Maple & Brown Sugar (<~~~~ does have the slightest 'burnt' note to it)
  10. Only the Patchouli Passion is the MW version. They already had a patchouli -- MW version is better, but I guess they're keeping theirs....
  11. I don't recall that one being there on my last visit. I'll be sure to give it a whiff -- I plan on going up there Monday or Tuesday
  12. I no longer make candles....just tarts, so I'm not much help there. Sorry
  13. Yes, Sugar Cookie Royale was one of the first ones I had them dupe. It's so very good!! And no crystallizing yet like the MW version did....so that's a bonus perk
  14. I just went to their website and read the description -- it sounds amazing, but $53/lb?!?!?! Holy cow! I really hope Travis will dupe it as those scents are right up my alley
  15. I do have some Guinevere's Attraction -- I never got around to testing it. As soon as Sandalwood Rose and Floral Muse is in stock, I'm making a trip up there to get some. I'll carry him an ounce of G.A. for you I will eventually need the four you mentioned (Fairy Garden, Tea & Cakes, Celestial Sea, and Sun & Earth) -- I gave him the oils to dupe, but let him know that I was okay on stock for the moment.....still have the MW versions. What is this Hotel Costes you speak of?? I've never ordered from SC...
  16. Yes, that's one I sent him and gave the approval for the samples he sent back. The only thing I find lacking in any MW dupes I've tried is that there was always a "depth" at the bottom of MW oils that isn't found in the dupes. Once they're in wax though, I don't notice a difference big enough to matter.
  17. Autumn Embers is one of the scents I didn't have left in my inventory. I'm sure Travis would be happy to have it duped They'll need an ounce to send to their manufacturers.
  18. I do have Caribbean Teakwood -- It is NOT the same fragrance as the one from CS. It's not a big powerhouse scent by any means, but man do I love that scent!!! Their Tobacco Caramel is amazeballs -- actually reminds me of Blue Sugar. Red Cedar is very very very light It just had zero throw whatsoever. It's one of the duds. Peppercorn Spice is WONDERFUL! There's a lot going on in this scent. I don't recall Flowering Boxwood or Hayride (maybe they weren't there when I went by?) As for Sun Shower, it's brand new and I haven't made a trip out there since they got that oil. I"m due to go back in a week or so when they get my Sandalwood Rose in (had it duped from Southern Gardens) -- so excited as SG went way up in price and I had to discontinue it a while back. The dupe is perfect! To Scented: Others I can recommend -- Apple Ginger Crust, Lavender Vetiver (if you like really strong unique scents), Sweet Spice (not strong enough for wax, but does great in CP soap, perfumes, etc), White Tea Lemonade (LOVE).....my mind is drawing a blank, but they have some really good "staple" scents. Their fruity scents really need some work. Most are very weak in my opinion.
  19. They just sent me back samples of Tea & Cakes, Sun & Earth, Celestial Sea, and Fairy Garden. OOB they all smelled great! I put them in wax today and will recheck them on Monday for a final opinion. They're sending off for remakes of Earthen Oak and Ancient Incense -- those two were too weak the first time around. They have quite a few of them already in stock ... Witches Brew, Sugar Cookie Royale, Native Princess, Leaves, and a few more I can't remember at the moment. Travis and Hannah are probably some of the nicest people I've ever met. I have really enjoyed working with them!
  20. I know many of you are getting your MW oils from Fragrance Buddy. I also see that many of you are having problems getting them to respond to emails and such. I've been working with Travis from Flaming -- he's been getting all of the oils I've sent to him duped. I bought MW samples from FB -- they just aren't as good as the ones from Flaming! He will eventually get all of the oils I sent added. Perhaps you guys should give them a try I live about 30 minutes from them, so I've made a trip twice to their office to sniff all of the oils Yes, there are some duds as with any supplier, but they have some really good ones. Just thought I'd put this out there
  21. I think everyone has pretty much bailed on using Pure as their source for getting MW oils. They're higher in price! I know many people are getting them from Fragrance Buddy. I'm personally getting mine from The Flaming Candle Co. I've been giving them oils of MW and they've been getting them duped. They're better, in my opinion, than FB's versions....
  22. Sales rep (Eva) called me about two weeks ago. Without going into the whole story, that woman is a complete moron! I asked if they could provide a fragrance list for me to look at -- after all, it is helpful to see what you would be buying. She informed me that it's impossible to do that because their list is so huge and ever-changing. Okay, so let me get this straight. You want me to purchase products from your company, but you don't keep a list of fragrances on your website. Oh, I see -- I send you say $100 and you just send me whatever oils you'd like for me to have. Got it. Ummm, no!
  23. Hubby soaped their Karma. It performed well overall, but I personally feel that it's too light for anything but perfumes. I've never smelled any of Lush's products, so no clue as to how close it is to the original. We changed the name so I didn't have to deal with the whole "this smells nothing like..." ordeal
  24. I haven't tried it, but just wonder about something.... tobacco flower does not smell like tobacco/pipe, but yet she says in the description about reminiscent of sitting on grandpa's knee. Hmmmmm.....
  25. Did you happen to get Grey Dawn? I was most curious about that one....
