  1. Ive been asked to make a Donut scented candle /wax melts. Any good ones out there - I saw some on Just Scent but not sure about any of them. Do they actually smell like a donut or are they more of a birthday cake smell with cinnamon or pumpkin or a jam/jelly scent added to it ? I think they're looking for a BBW type ??? The same person asked for a snow scent ??? WTH - what does snow smell like ??? Oh geez - I don't even know where do begin this lol ! Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
  2. You might think it is too early to talk about Christmas. Before you give in to that very thinking and do away with what this article has to say, do give a thought to that Christmas where you failed to store your ornaments successfully because you didn't hit up any instant ideas or hacks in the short amount of time that you hand to work with. This might sound elementary and basic; yet not coming up with efficient ornament storage ideas is a mistake that is made far too often in the real world. With this writing, we aim to correct that. Read through to the end to find out some inexpensive but efficient storage hacks for your ornaments that can save you many headaches this Christmas: 1: Get Pictures or Take Them Yourself: If any of your friends or family members happen to have cool ornament storage hacks, be sure not to ignore them and even take picture saving them in your digital memory albums. You can download some useful ones from the Internet as well but be sure to have some good ideas saved somewhere easily accessible so that you can use them when required. 2: Make an Inventory for Everything: Making an inventory of all your stored ornaments can be very important. Having stored them in high-quality Ornament Boxes, writing everything that you have down and keeping it somewhere easily accessible can save you much trouble when you need similar decorations again. Also when you lose some and don't have a clue of what you had before you lost it, this inventory can come in handy. 3: Cardboard Divider Boxes: When thinking about storing your ornaments for more extended periods of time, permanent solutions will work best. Readymade cardboard boxes with section divider inserts in them are available from high-quality packaging stores and also supermarkets, or you can DIY this project easily as well. Be sure to produce adequately sized sections for all your ornaments and also use long-lasting, sturdy cardboard materials that are often in the corrugated finish. 4: Combining Cardboard and Plastic Cups: Combining cardboard and plastic cups can produce a very efficient ornament storage idea. Since most ornaments are round in shape, empty plastic cups provide a great storage solution. Taking your cardboard divider idea to the next level involves placing the empty plastic cup in each divider and placing your ornaments in those cups having to find very convenient ornament storage options. 5: Tins of Holiday Ornaments: Who says some of those expensive cookie tins can't be repurposed. If you happen to have large cookie tins lying around in the storage, wrapping them up in Christmassy paper and placing your ornaments in these tins is a great idea. Some of these large cookie tins are quite large in size enabling you to place a lot many ornaments in them at one time. Be sure to wrap them up in festive wrapping papers making them look neat and clean around the edges. 6: Apple Tray Packaging: Everyone can find some empty apple trays made from cardboard or other soft protective materials right! This is one of the cheapest repurposing hacks on our list as well and only involves the old Apple trays. You can place these trays in large wrapped boxes for a beautiful finish when preferred or leave them as they are. Whichever finish you choose, this repurposed efficiently sized ornament storage hack will organize all your ornaments quite nicely indeed. 7: Reuse Your Gift Packaging: All of us will get gifts of some sort regardless of which age group we belong to. Gift packaging provides an excellent ornament storage option when done right. Use all those boxes and wrapping papers along with ribbons and hangers intelligently creating very sustainable ornament storage options that will organize things for you very efficiently. 8: Straight String Lights with Ribbons and Hangers: Got string lights or ribbons and hangers? Instead of storing them in boxes or drawers where they will almost certainly get tangled up, clip them on an empty wall in your storage area or basement. This straight storage will keep them usable for next Christmas or any other festive event of the year. 9: Repurposed Egg Trays and Cartons: Much like the apple trays, egg trays provide a very efficient ornament storage idea as well. Having round shaped egg storage pods in them that are secured with cardboard or other similar softer materials, these will keep your stored ornaments safe and sound for as long as they are required again. You will not have to pay a dime for these as well as these are found in abundance in every household. 10: Coffee Cup Ornament Holders: Empty coffee cups can also be used as efficient ornament holders and storage ideas. Be sure to add some Christmassy designs on their outer layers and enjoy their large sizes enabling you to store and organize many ornaments in one cup. Tie them up with red ribbons creating a fully festive look and feel.
  3. I already have Backwoods Buttery GingerBread but Ive read that Gingerbread Spice from MMS The Sage is really good but Ive also read the same about NG Gingerbread BB also has a Gingersnap + WSP has a few as well lol ! Im wondering if they all smell + perform pretty much the same in wax. Is Gingerbread typically strong in wax ? Anyone tried any of the above in wax or please add your favorite
  4. I ordered a pound of Vanilla Delicious and I just don't care for it. Ive only used about an ounce + 1/2 . The oil must be heavy because the bottle was nowhere near full when I received it. Ive only had it for about 3 months Im thinking , not very long. Anyhow, Im wanting BC Spiced Cranberry but it has a low FP so shipping would be expensive. If anyone has it and would like to trade please let me know. You'd have to be a state near MI so it could ship ground USPS .
  5. hello guys, if you are like to surprise your loved ones, try this unique idea to make a surprise message in a box .. its so flexible to make in any occasion https://youtu.be/VZkY6tWep0c

Only want strong smelling scents. I really want something that smells strong too, I want people to be able to walk in and smell the entire room with wonderful scent. If you have had your best be from a site I not listed please list anyways. Please give me your reviews!!! I use joy wax candles.

  8. Has anyone tries Mandarin Cranberry from Flaming - Im wondering if its similar to Fillmores- Cranberry Citrus ? 10. For those of you that have ordered from Aztec, what are some of your favorites. Barbara's post of their Pine boughs + Apples inspired me to try this one. Any tried their Vanilla Bean - Cozy Cabin - Tobacco - Kentucky Bourbon - Apple Pie . I already have their Blueberry cobbler + its really good. So is anyone ordering FO's during Black Friday ? I hope Fillmore is having a sale Id like to get a pound of the Cranberry Citrus - Love this one ! If anyones tried Fillmore's Cranberry + plum, please let me know what you thought. They've got some great oils !
  11. I need to order a hot chocolate FO + was wondering if you guys had a favorite. Ive used Peak in the past but wondering if theres something better ? I found about a dozen vintage enamel mugs that Id like to make candles with. I'll be using soy wax . Id love to try doing them with a wax whipped topping but Ive never done that before so Im worried I'll screw that part up or they won't burn properly as the whipped portion melts. Thanks
  12. Does anyone have RE Celebrate Christmas Type . I can't believe I forgot to order a sample during their sale. I don't need much, I just want to see if I like it prior to ordering, their shipping is insane for just a sample bottle. If you do let me know how much $ Also, I ordered a 4 oz bottle of their Bonfire Bliss + I don't care for it at all. I used about 1oz to test so I have about 3 oz left. I mention this incase someone wants to trade. Thanks
  13. So I got my RE order today + it was a bit overwhelming. I had to get some coffee beans in a small cup to sniff in-between smelling bottles or they all just start to smell the same. My first impression when opening my box was a bit surprising. All of my FO's were loosely thrown in a zip bag - along with some of the bigger bottles I ordered. I wasn't impressed with that. Plus they put a wrong FO in - I choose Amish Harvest and they put in Apple Harvest ...rrrrr Maybe someone can answer this question : the Cranberry FO (LW) has a white sediment on the bottom ??? My absolute favorites are Grandmas Cupboard - YUM ! To me, smells like a delicious oatmeal cookie. I have Fillmores too but that one had apple in it too - it was ok but I prefer this Apples & Oats - Very nice but while back ago I made a blend of primarily BB OMH + CS Macintosh - SO good Main Street Christmas : This one only had 1 review but I like the description + the name lol ! Its not overly strong but very nice - subtle background of pine theres some apple + a touch of something sweet Homemade Apple Pie (KY) Smells good not overly cinnamon, which I like so Im hoping the crust comes through Rustic Lodge - Again, not overly strong OOB but very nice - i smell apple first but a light version Birthday Cake (KY) OOB smells very good but to me not overly strong ? hmmm Ive always read its super strong so hopefully it is. I ordered a bigger bottle. Toasted Marshmallow - I don't get any "toasted" at all OOB - this is another one that gets rave reviews but doesn't seem strong ??? I somehow thought it would be a bit richer - Im sure it'll be great though. Its very yummy OOB can't wait to try it - I think I might like to try another one though. I have ICS toasted marshmallow, it too is very good but missing something to my nose - maybe depth or some richness ??? Apple Pumpkin Strudel : OOB I get more apple than pumpkin but smells very good but I might prefer ICS better , I'll see - I got a bigger bottle of this too Lemon Curd - I love lemon scents - this kinda reminds me of Peaks Lemon pound cake but different ?? IDK its though * Bonfire bliss : Not sure what I was expecting but I honestly don't get a bonfire smell in the least - weird - Im sure it'll change in wax ?? Its nice though OOB Sea Kelp ; Nice clean - ocean -y scent - Blue Skies - Nice - I like this one - its different but good Oak Barrel Cider - Smells Good OOB Forbidden Fruit IDK it was described as Pomegranate but its OK - Ill stick with CS - much better although its a bit sweet too - I like it better - not a fan of this one /just OK Plumberry Spice - Very nice - fruit with some pine Salty Sea Air - Very nice OOB Welcome Home - I like this , not sure how to describe it but its warm + comforting Lavender Vanilla KY - OOB I dont care for it I like Lebermuth sample I received MUCH better Apple Clove Butter - Nice but OOB not my favorite - maybe its the clove IDK ?? Pumpkin cheesecake - looks like a thick oil + is a reddish color ? OOB nice but we'll see - I wanna try ICS too Pumpkin Pie Spice : This one + the pumpkin pie (KY ) smell off to me the spice one is weak which is weird for a pumpkin spice - I wonder if some bottles were poured as needed due to the sale ??? I was surprised with these 2 - something seems off Pumpkin Bread : Smells very good OOB Banana Walnut Cake - Very Good OOB I get the banana -walnut + cake Apple Clove Butter - OOB to my nose was nice but IDK maybe again its the clove . Im sure it'll be great in was melts Warm Vanilla Nutmeg - Nice but doesn't seem very strong OOB ???? Maybe that will change in wax I received 3 free samples - Flannel Sheets - nice smells like dryer sheets to me - Whipped cream - I like this one - light but very nice I picked that one as a mixer for pumpkin pie mixes and I picked red currant - nice bit I prefer Peaks I also ordered a 5# sample bag of KY Para Soy Tart + Votive - I love how its in beads - it had great reviews here + on RE Now I have a headache from smelling all of these LOL ! Cant wait to hear what all of you got + your reviews
  14. So I came home and my order was waiting for at my door ! Im super happy with my order. It does take a bit longer for them to ship than say CS or Peak but they are insanely fast. WSP as a rule takes 4- 7 days to ship, which Im OK with plus everything is securely packed, which I appreciate since they use glass bottles. Heres what I got - the review is strictly OOB Frasier Fir : Ohhh I really like this one. Yes, its similar to CS (which is awesome BTW) but this truly is to my nose anyhow, a spot on match to Thymes Frasier Fir it's a touch softer than the one from CS. Thanks to the OP (Beaches?) who commented about this one. Love ! Vanilla Hazelnut : Really love this one as well. I pick up a hint of mocha in the background, super subtle mocha + equal on the vanilla + hazelnut. Im going to use this in some M&P coffee soap + add a touch of my virgin coconut oil Ive had infusing with some ground coffee /coconut + vanilla hazelnut coffee grounds I'll also try it in some wax melts (para-soy) and soy candle . Crackling Firewood : Smells exactly as it sounds but theres smokiness in there too. Ill most likely use this one as a blender. Trapper recommended this one Vanilla Bean Noel : OMG Moonshine you are SO spot on with this one - really does smell delish. OOB very similar to TCS but I actually have to say, I like this better. So glad I ordered 1# of this - Lemon Drop Cookie : OOB Im not getting enough lemon ? - based on OOB - I much prefer Fillmore's Lemon Biscotti ( Im obsessed with this one) but I could change my opinion once I use it in wax or room spray etc Frosted Cranberries : Im not sure what I was expecting from this but OOB it falls a bit short of my expectations . Its hard to put my finger on what note I'm picking up on - somewhat grape -ish in the background IDK ??? Its nice though but id like to try this in para -soy for wax melts + a room spray maybe ? Maybe I'll try RE Country Christmas or WSP Spiced Cranberry for a room spray instead. having said that, I did order RE Cranberry - not a big I prefer this one ( Frosted C) over RE cranberry. Brown Sugar : Smells just like brown sugar + reminds me of when I make choc chip cookies with my grandkids I like it . Will use as a blender + in some sugar scrubs for Christmas gifts + fund raiser gift baskets as well ( It feels so good to give doesn't it - Id rather be a giver than a receiver any day ! Cant wait to hear from those that also ordered

  16. I have a few FO's oils in my cart from Candlewic - Sugared Vanilla Shortbread - Apple Cider Donut + Butterscotch Pudding. They have a smoked birch thats sounds interesting for the holidays, has anyone tried it - thoughts ? The Vanilla Shortbread had great reviews on here so Im going with it Ive never used anything from Candlewic before - any favorites or duds ? Thanks in advance
  17. Does anyone know where to buy in bulk, balsam for sachet making. I had a vintage red 100% wool coat that was tattered in areas so I cut it up and Im going to hot wash + dry to felt it. I think it'll be perfect for christmas/holiday sachets. Also, if you have ordered balsam is it nicely scented like lavender buds are ? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.
  18. Im wanting to do a vanilla + Christmas tree /Pine blend. I have CS Blue Spruce + Fillmores Christmas tree - CS Very Vanilla + possibly another vanilla to play with. Any suggestions or your favorite blends would be much appreciated. What would be a good starting point in terms of ratio of vanilla to pine. Id love to come up with some blends for Christmas with some charming names - but Im not that great at blending or coming up with names I stumbled across a candle Co that was out in the Pacific NW and they had such a great rustic theme. They have a Campfire Toddy that sounds amazing ! Also saw a candle that had a cozy blanket scent - what the heck does a blanket smell like lol ! Im looking forward to hearing any suggestions you all might have. Thanks so much
