  1. I utilize batch numbers that I keep in a database as well as on the original recipes. I just change them on the labels before printing. Very easy to do. I do B&B not candles.
  2. I've heard good things about the base from Essentials by Catalina but I can't speak first hand. I don't use a lot of MP mostly for embeds in my CP. They have a good selection too. Some I've not seen elsewhere.
  3. I should start with I don't sell or make candles. I do soap, scrubs, lip balm, bath bombs, perfume etc..... I carry 30-40 different fragrances. I don't do seasonal fragrances anymore as they were never big sellers. In scrubs I carry 8-10 scents, lip balm 12. I'm trying to keep it at 30 for this year as my two shelves I use for shows holds 4 bars of 15 fragrances each. I just have so many fragrances, I want to try them all. It's a very dark hole I fall into every year.
  4. This is your product. You posted it to another forum and it got deleted before it was viewed. Except you had a link to it. I think it's crazy. I can light a candle on my own just fine and dandy. And the fire risk......one way to keep the fire departments going for something crazy.
  5. Keystone purchased their codes as was my understanding. I haven't tried their pink sugar as I had bought several pounds the first time they were going out of business. They just finished like #4 recently. Talltayl has co-oped her Pink Sugar in the past and it's quite nice too. Doesn't get as dark as the Peak Pink Sugar though it's still my favorite.
  6. NG Cracklin Birch and Perfect Man WSP Fifty Shades WSP Bay Rum
  7. I've never heard of them before either. Going to have to check it out though now.
  8. I used shrinkwrap but clingfilm will work just fine.
  9. They won't spoil but they could become damp if moisture gets in the container. MP generally needs to be wrapped. I've put CP soap in muslin with no issues but MP draws more moisture.
  10. I don't make a lot of MP but in my experience if they are kept in an airtight container they should last some time. The fragrance may fade but that's normal. I have MP embeds I made for my CP soap 2 years ago and they are still fine. The problem with MP is they need to be wrapped tightly or they will sweat.
  11. Here's a previous post about Palo Santo, unfortunately I can't help as I've not used it myself. https://www.craftserver.com/topic/114281-palo-santo-fragrance-oil-where-art-thou/
  12. I don't make candles but I dislike almost all florals. However, I found a Lavender Mashmallow that I really like. Make it in soap and scrubs and was a hit with my customers as well. I got it from Just Scents but have seen it elsewhere recently (can't remember). Cantaloupe Lily is nice as well. I do make and sell straight up Lavender and Lilac. (curse them while making). That's about the extent of my florals in my line.
  13. For ungelled soap I generally leave it for 2-3 days before zap testing. It an take 2-3 days for it to be fully saponified if not gelled. I would do what TT said and put it back in the mold and heat up your oven, turn it off and put the mold in for a bit. Or just leave it.
  14. I have 9 of their 7.5 lb molds and love them. I also have 4 of the 4 inch molds. I use the 4 inch for testing. I also have a large slab mold from them. I love all of her products. They are well made and last a long time. I highly recommend making smaller batches as a beginner that way if something goes wrong you're not out a lot of supplies if it can't be fixed. No more than 2 lbs at a time.

    Peaks Candle

I think they are crazy and can't decide if they are coming or going. They've had a couple sales lately, I'm just not willing to risk going back to them.
  16. I use cruelty free silk as well. The silk is harvested and cleaned after it has been vacated. I have also seen where folk have used dried corn silk. I've not tried it myself so can't speak at to if it works or not.
  17. I do not in most cases. Once in awhile I'll add a bit for personal use for a little extra shine.
  18. I did consignment twice. The first business ended up closing overnight after 2 years and took all my product and never heard from them again. They blocked me on social media and didn't respond to emails. Wasn't enough to take them to court but won't ever do that again. It was 60/40. I would never ever go lower than that personally. You deserve to be paid for your time and work. The second just wasn't worth the hassle after a year so didn't renew the contract. It was 70/30.
  19. Congratulations! Sounds like the way to wrap up the year for sure. A rest is well deserved.
  20. yes, you've stated it's flameless....you haven't answered the questions posed to you. Are you making these? What's your point of posting in a candle forum when most here make wicked candles. Curious minds want to know what your post is about.
  21. I've started to include a different top (disc top) with my lotions which adds to the cost as I too have had instances where they did not work when customers went to use them. It seems to be happening more often than in the past.
  22. I've had to blend 3 different coconuts to get something that's relatively nice in my sugar scrubs and body butters. I blended Coconut Cabana (NG), Coconut Milk (Peak),and Coconut Craziness (NG). I don't make soap with it as I can't get the scent to stick.
  23. Depends on what you are using to make them. PS80 will keep things from separating. It's an emulsifier. I prefer PS80 over PS20.
