  1. Hobby Lobby and Michael's don't carry good quality MP. Check out the resources above and it should be a whole lot better for sure. I use the MP from WSP for imbeds and it's pretty nice.
  2. What a great idea! I've seen it before but never gave it much thought. Hope you get it to work for you. Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
  3. I like quite a lot of their scents. Peach Magnolia Raspberry is really nice, I like and have used their Lilac, Indian Sandalwood, Passionate Kisses, Bite Me, Dragon's Blood, Fruity Rings, Love Spell, China Rain, Sweet Orange Chili Pepper, Bamboo White Grapefruit (fades till gone in soap, nice in scrubs), Hummingbird, Nectarine Mint. I know there are many others but that's my short list.
  4. If anyone makes soap, they have a great saleprice on RSPO No Stir Palm Oil. 39.17 for 50 lbs.
  5. What I've noticed with WSP is that once a scent becomes popular they jack the price up to where it's no longer affordable. Their Raspberry Lemonade was really reasonable when I first started purchasing it. Now it's gone up way too much even on sale (43.00). I'm just going to drop it from my line. Same with VBN.
  6. I too use Square. It's popular in the business world and people recognize it and are comfortable utilizing it for payment. I also use square for stock inventory which helps greatly with things. I would be leery using something not known as customers may balk at using it. I also find the fees with square to be reasonable.
  7. Yes, Fragrance Buddy was another one that had dupes. I'll try either Keystone or FB when I need to replenish my supplies.
  8. And personally, I won't go back to Peak after the way they handled things. There are other companies who have duped Peaks as well and I'll check them out when I need replacements.
  9. Yep, that's the one. I checked it out to see if it would be worth while being a vendor and quickly changed my mind. That was a couple years ago. Same reason, the layout and plus everything just looked dirty to me. Starting with the restrooms out front, it just reeked. My daughter wants to go check it out as she just moved back here and I keep telling her it's not worth it.
  10. I loved the Texas Ren Faire, my sisters lived in Houston for 18 years. We would go every year. I've been to the one here in Michigan, not been impressed but I think Texas spoiled us.
  11. It cost couple thousand I'm sure. Just supplies, then insurance, equipment, tents, tables etc......then the 1 1/2 years of making and testing. I don't do candles though. I makes soap and other B&B. I have supplies to play with melts but not sure I'll ever get around to it. Fragrance Oils are my black hole.
  12. I make and sell a lot of Patchouli soap/scrubs. I've been using this one for quite a few years and it's really good. I wasn't a huge fan of Patch but it has grown on me. I have a couple customers that order an entire loaf at least 1-2 times a year. It was recommended to me by a long time soaper and the price is still very reasonable. It's strong and sticks. http://www.fragrancelaboratory.com/store.html#!/Patchouli-Oil-Dark-Indonesian-Essential-Oil/p/36089366/category=9255019
  13. Don't let it get you down. My first show was very similar. Arrived to the venue (2 days) and it was pouring cats and dogs. Didn't set up that night (Friday) but was there bright and early on Saturday. Got set up and it started raining again. Mine was the opposite, it was about 95 degrees. My tent was like a steam bath with the heat and rain. I was totally miserable. Sold about 20-30 dollars worth. Went to my hotel with my tail between my legs disappointed. Showed back up on Sunday and had an amazing day. It's hard to put yourself out there. I pretty much only do 3-4 two day shows a year. I've had several that the day was lousy (rainy, cold, hotter than hades) but I actually had great sales. Last year we had a mini lake in front of my tent. Had the crappiest weekend ever. They refunded my money to me and moved me this year. Hold your head up high. And totally normal to kind of feel defeated sometimes.
  14. Most micas have some shimmer to them. You could try oxides or ultramarines. They don't have any shimmer at all. Wholesale Supplies Plus sell bath bomb powder colorants and they have no shimmer either. Depends on what you are trying to add it to as well.
  15. I too have purchased over a hundred of their oils. I have a lot of hits and some misses. I'm getting ready to order some restocks (Vanilla Champagne, Perfect Man, Cracklin Birch, Mango Sorbet, OMG Olive). Also going to try Werewolf, Aloe & White Lilac, Apricot, Coco Mango & Bitches Brew. I make soap and B&B not candles though. I've not cared for a lot of their designer types.
  16. Those turned out terrific, great job!
  17. I can only speak to FO's. I have some at least 6 years old that still work great and still perform well in my products (Soap, B&B). As long as they don't smell off you should be fine. Can't speak to wax though.
  18. Way to pricey for my blood. And no reviews so not worth the risk.
  19. I've never seen anyone try to sell for more than they originally paid but I have seen people selling FO for the same they paid which I don't understand. It's been used in most cases. I just sold a bunch of FO's for really cheap just to get rid of them. I don't buy fragrances from others, with the exception of bulk buy groups.
  20. Sorry, can't help with that as I tried them and wouldn't sell but it's been years now. Someone else may pop in. The other problem with bakery scents is a lot of them have vanilla in them and will likely require a vanilla stabilizer to keep them from turning brown.
  21. What kind of bakery scent are you looking for? Nature's Garden, WSP, Nurture Soap, Brambleberry.....all carry bakery type scents. I've never had any luck selling them so don't use bakery scents. My customers don't want banana bread, cupcake, lemon poppyseed, etc....I do make a birthday cake sugar scrub and a cotton candy soap. Those sell well for me. https://www.naturesgardencandles.com/bakery-scents http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/fragrance-oils/search/food-bakery-aromas.aspx https://www.brambleberry.com/Sweet-Foodie-C170.aspx
