  1. Those are amazingly beautiful! I don't think I would burn them either.
  2. Very pretty. I'm awed by some of the candles folks here put out. I don't make them so ogle others creations. I do B&B.
  3. Lavender & pretty much floral. YUK! However, I like Dragon's Blood.
  4. I've used the lotion base Satin & Silk from Wholesales Supplies Plus. It's really thick and creamy, I haven't had a problem adding FO's to it at all. It feels really nice on the skin.
  5. Hello and Welcome! There's a lot of great information here as well as a lot of lovely people.
  6. I only do B&B and I'm pretty much right on track with Candybee. I too have 30 fragrances. I have lip balm, sugar scrubs, roll-on perfumes and bath bombs. This year I'm adding a couple more items. Indoor Craft shows I do 2 tables. In my tent & for 2 days shows I do 3 tables.
  7. I've used NG's Fruity Rings in CP and it smells just like fruit loops. Never used Rustic Escentual's.
  8. Your soap turned out great! Congratulations!!! As stated, take a sliver off and test it out. I also recommend trying it weekly so you can see the change during cure. Also, you didn't mention it, but all recipes should be run through a soap calculator for accuracy. Errors happen when people put recipes in print.
  9. I think part of that comes from the intention to sell. Many of us started out with just a hobby and ended up selling. I was making soap over a year or so before I ever thought of selling it. Same with my other products. I tested everything for at least a year, just making for friends and family. When I finally decided to sell, I added things a little at a time. I work full time plus have a family, so having a business took time. Over the last 7 years, I've had my products out there and will still sometimes tweak them. But I wanted to have products I knew were quality so that customers came back. I think it's the same with candles (I don't make them). There are just so many variables to them. Takes a lot of time to find the right wax, jars, wicks, scents etc.... I read every post on several different forums related to what I wanted to do. So, just enjoy the process and have fun. Don't stress out or you're likely to quit before you even get started. Also, keep in mind the markets are over populated with B&B as well as candles so you need to find your niche. Take a deep breath.
  10. Those are just stunning! The scent sounds pretty amazing too.
  11. Got mine on Thursday, but haven't smelled them yet. Have too much going on at the moment. Maybe this weekend.
  12. I haven't found an apple that stick well in soap. I've tried a few. If this is that good I would certainly give it a try. Don't know why I never tried Peak's in the past, I use several of their fragrances.
  13. I purchased a based from Essentials by Catalina and it's really quite nice. I have only used it for bug spray so far but plan on using it in body spray soon. I'm pretty sure it was recommended here by several others. They have one with an alcohol base or one without. I used the alcohol based one. https://essentialsbycatalina.com/body-spray-base https://essentialsbycatalina.com/hydrating-botanical-mist-base
  14. Me too..... Oh dear....adding to FOHO problem.
  15. Honey is water soluble so I would think in lip balm it would seep out and possible cause other issues like mold. I have seen in other forums people having issues when adding honey and have been advised by others not to do so. So, I've not done it myself. My brother/sister in law have bees and make honey so I use it in my soap instead.
  16. You certainly come off as a know it all in business and marketing strategies. I don't see it at all after watching your video and reading your posts. Your information is moot for the majority of us on this site. Branding/production go hand in hand. WE are crafters/artisans and many of us sell our products. Why would we import or automate? We make our products as that's our passion. Do you know what this forum is about at all? Many of us do this to supplement our income, some do it to just continue being able to make what they love and some have very successful businesses. You say you couldn't sell soap, bath bombs etc.....well I'd say you weren't doing something right. Probably didn't market it well and forgot about quality products by your posts. Yet you come here giving advice on how to market/sell. Find that laughable. Do what you do,but don't tell me how to run a business.
  17. Hello and welcome! I too started with CP them moved on to other B&B products. These days it's hard to get a full fledged business out of this. Soooo many are making soap, B&B these days.
  18. I package mine in single wall clear jars. However, mostly only carry it during the fall and winter months due to melting. I do have some that I take to my shows during the summer but keep them in a cooler. I have a handful of customers that love it and purchase it once or twice a year to stock up. If I were selling it consistently year round I would most certainly use double wall jars though.
  19. That sounds really good. I make my dragon's blood black with a red swirl. It certainly draw attention.
  20. I make roll-on perfumes. I would be happy to do this for you. I don't have the RE Birthday Cake but can certainly order some. Just let me know....
