  1. I think they look great. I too agree with one color and changing the flame color. I would also make the font on Trading smaller than Eastland or the same size.
  2. I have the same gripe. There have been several occasions I wanted to purchase something but nope, no paypal. Their loss as I'll just not purchase. I don't have the Paypal credit card nor do I want one. I have it linked to my checking account that I use for business.
  3. So, how did it go? Hope you did well. I have my first big one for the year this coming weekend. It's in a tourist town about 3.5 hours away and I usually do extremely well. Unfortunately, unless the weather reports change it could be totally crappy as of now it's supposed to rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But, keeping my fingers crossed.
  4. Good Luck! But most of all have fun. Even when things don't go as planned I generally enjoy it.
  5. I received the notification from another company as well with the same tone. It's time to stock up on my most popular scents and then wait it out until things get back to normal. Sounds like it's going to be rough for awhile.
  6. Yes, hot soapy water soak / rinse then vinegar soak and then rinse again.
  7. I clean them out and recycle plastic bottles. Glass I clean and re-use to bottle EO that came in plastic .
  8. So very pretty! Looks fresh and springy.
  9. Those are just beautiful! Love the colors.
  10. I've not used it. However, I know of someone on another forum that has used Donkey's Milk as well as Camel milk in CP. Claims it makes nice soap.
  11. So pretty, the swirl does look like a tulip.
  12. I too have both and they are pretty much spot on the same. TT's doesn't discolor as dark as Peak's.
  13. I too use RE's Lemon Verbena. I use it in soap, lotions and scrubs. I haven't tried any others though.
  14. I too like SL in my soaps. If adding salt, dissolve it into some water before the lye as it won't always dissolve and may clump. I too just freeze them for an hour or two and they pop out. But again, I use SL or if out salt.
  15. Love the labels. #1 or #2 here as well.
  16. I too am behind. Seems to be a theme this year. Unfortunately, I'm leaving town tomorrow for a conference so no soapmaking for me. Fortunately, I work well under pressure..... well, most times.
  17. I tried consignment once and never again. Was a pain in the arse. Then they went out of business and didn't tell anyone and I lost some stock too in the deal. They don't promote or take care of your products.
  18. I do the same as Candybee. Every opportunity to pass one out is a possible sale.
  19. I agree with what the others have suggested. I highly recommend starting out simple. You can make great soap with just a few oils & lye. Get the hang of it and then expand if you so choose. I do use alcohol when making soap. I spray the tops before insulating them and have found that it helps prevent getting some ash on the tops. Otherwise, no, don't add rubbing alcohol to soap. Also, start with small batches, 1-2 pounds most. It can be an expensive hobby otherwise when something goes wrong. I really like Soapee.com calculator. Very easy to use.
  20. I agree, perhaps you are just getting them too wet. We can certainly look at your recipe and see if there's any glaring issues with it.
  21. I agree with TT. If your recipe is a good one they won't flatten much. Mine (when I make them) just sit in a box on paper towels for 8 hours and they are good to package.
  22. I wholeheartedly agree. I had/have such an FO addiction (FOHO) I don't think I could use them all in the next 10 years. I've made the decision to just use what I have and only order those I keep I my line with a few special additions until I get my stash down. Also need to think about listing some of them for sale locally.
