  1. Those turned out great! Love the Bollywood!
  2. Very nice soaps! Your granddaughter has a future with the soap making hobby for sure. My granddaughter wants to help me make soap so bad. So, next weekend we are going to make rainbow unicorn poop MP. I don't work with MP much but going to give it a try. She's only 5 so nothing too detailed.
  3. Happy Birthday (belated) and I am so green with envy. Would love to see pictures for sure.
  4. Beautiful artwork! Thanks for sharing!
  5. I'm another one who doesn't care what the mold looks like. I do scrape out any spills and give them a quick wipe down before using again, that's it for me. I don't have time to be persnickety about them.
  6. I agree with the above. It was certainly about supply, causing many distress. I certainly would think twice about purchasing from them again even though they had quality fragrances. He could do the same thing in the future causing more upheaval..
  7. Those are so beautiful! I bet Jelly Donut smells amazing.
  8. What a great display! Sounds like you are off to a fantastic start hope it continues!!!
  9. I got an email from them as well. I won't return to purchasing from them. I think they went about things the wrong way. Fortunately, I stocked up before all the crap happened during a sale. So, should be good for quite some time. Then I'll check out Keystone.
  10. Raspberry Lemonade is really good too. I use it in scrubs, soap, lotion etc... It's 42.00 lb..... I need to get some while on sale. I only use a few from WSP.
  11. Congratulations on getting it out like that. I usually master batch in 5 gallon pail myself. It's so much easier for me. I'm so behind this year. I need to light a fire under my butt and get things done. Maybe tonight I'll get to it.
  12. I too use a few of WSP's fragrances. They perform well though some have increased crazy high. One of my best sellers is Raspberry Lemonade. It's 43.00 lb. A several months ago is was 32 something. I think we are going to see most companies increasing their prices. I've decided to just order what I use most frequently to have in stock before they go up.
  13. Turned out nicely! Congratulations!
  14. I tried NG's Beer in soap and it smelled like a frat house after a 3 day party. I sold a few but mostly as gag gifts. Sold the rest for 1.00 just to get them gone. People noses are different though.
  15. I keep coffee in a small container on my table at shows so people can clear their passage ways to smell more. It usually works when they become nose blind from smelling too many fragrances at once.
  16. I also recommend Nature's Garden Lilac. It's strong so I only use at about 3-4% in soap. I purchased about 6 different lilacs years ago for a friend who is crazy over lilac. She chose the NG one. I sell a lot of it in soap and scrubs. I really dislike florals so generally leave it up to others to smell and decide when I'm making them.
  17. Some people are nose blind to some scents. I have that issue with some of mine. I just can't smell them but others can very well. Now, I don't make candles but soap, scrubs etc. I've had quite a few customers not be able to smell some scents but I can as can others. So, it's something with the olfactory sensors in our nose/brain I'm thinking.
  18. Do you have access to everclear? It works great. So does Vodka, just the cheap stuff. I just recently purchased some perfumers alcohol to give a try.

    Shelf Life

Same answer, only you will know if something is still high quality to sell. Just like other soap it depends on the fragrance, how it's stored, exposure to light etc.....MP can get dry and may shrink up. I don't do a lot of MP but do have imbeds that I made 2-3 years ago and they are fine. I didn't scent them.
  20. As stated above, depends on the recipe and oils used. Some oils have short shelf life and are prone to DOS. I too cure my salt bars a long time before selling (at least 6 mos but prefer 12), castile I only make 1 batch a year and it's cured for a year.
  21. I really like Birthday Cake (best seller) and Lemon Verbena. I make soap, lotion & scrubs etc.... not candles. I've got some others I haven't tested in product yet.
  22. I've had soap (CP) last 2+years. Fragrance does sometimes fade but still good soap. At the very least 1 year. I keep a bar from each batch and set it aside when using a new scent or recipe and keep it long term to see how it fares. I have some that are 8 years old. Not much scent in some but still good soap. I'll pull one out once in awhile to use them.
