  1. I usually just emailed to get a quote and called once I was ready to order. I'm in Southern Indiana so the shipping was very reasonable. They quote the price per case with shipping included.
  2. Try Gateway Foods, they are near St. Louis. Not sure about shipping prices as I order by the pallet. It was pretty reasonable for that.
  3. When they stopped making my old wax, I tested both. They are very similar in wicking and pour temps. I made the same scent in each wax, put them on opposite ends of the house and shut the doors. After about thirty minutes I checked each room. I knew which one I thought smelled stronger, then I had my husband to check. Did that a couple times with different scents, each time the C3 was the stronger.
  4. I use a CD 16 in that jar normally, sometimes I go to an 18. I only use 6% fragrance oil though. You might try to cut back a bit and see what happens.
  5. Had it about 4 years now. No problems yet. I've probably been through about 7 or 8 turkey fryers over the last 18 years.
  6. I used to get my 435 from Gateway foods. They had the best price with shipping pallets. Since AAK quit making the 435, I no longer order from there. They don't carry the wax I switched to.
  7. I use my commercial melter for my regular wax and a turkey fryer for the melt wax. When I'm done with the wax, I just let it set up in the melter and add to it the next round.
  8. I haven't noticed any type of gritty either. I also use liquid dyes, mostly from BC and Candle Science. I might pour a little hotter than you though.
  9. It's in pellets and yes it is a single pour. Very easy to work with.
  10. I had the same problem. Was so hoping it wouldn't frost as bad as the C3, but it's just as bad, if not worse.
  11. I used some Christmas scents that were made last year and they were fine. I think they were even better.
  12. I'm sure you will hear from her. I ordered a couple of months ago, after the announcement and all went well. She even reordered the honey gingerbread as I needed several pounds.
  13. It's worth a try as I've been have huge sink holes all fall. I've tried pouring at every temperature from 170 down to 105, with no difference. I get better adhesion when i pour around 150 though. Didn't really matter if I heated jars or not.
  14. They were a good 1/4 inch with a full melt pool. The 37 has some hang up but may catch up, we'll see.
  15. After 2 test burns with the rrd' s, the 37 is probably to small, the 40 and 47 are burning good, but have a bit of mushrooming. I'll continue all the way with these and maybe the 37 will catch up.
  16. I've got some rrd's poured but will wait about a week to test.
  17. I just got it today. It may be a couple of weeks before I get around to it. I'll keep you posted.
  18. Interesting post, I just ordered a case of this wax for testing. The shipping was less on a case than it was on the sample. Have you tried any htp or lx wicks with this wax?
  19. Kentucky's Hazelnut at Rustic Essentials is outstanding.
  20. I'm burning my own mix of caramel vanilla latte with a cotton wick right now, and it's amazing. I've had good luck with cd's also.
  21. I have 3 cases opened now, hoping that will help. They definitely don't feel crunchy, more soft and pliable. It has gotten better as long as I leave the lid off. It seems like I have more problems when I get to the bottom of the case. I can't seem to stop the sink holes either. I've tried pouring at every temperature from 170 to 110, in 5 degree increments. Do you think the moisture is causing this?
  22. Yes recent batch. I received them in mid September. I think the problem is with the manufacturer not really the supplier though.
  23. I've not been using the lid at all since this started. C3 is new to me, I've used 435 for years, but it's been discontinued. I tested several waxes and decided on the c3 because I had great results when I tested. Now that I have a full pallet, not much.
  24. It's a direct heat. I had my husband to fill it up and when to get started, I heard popping, so after investigating I noticed small droplets of water in the empty bag. Pretty sure that's where it came from.
