  1. Can you take a photo and post. You shouldn’t have this happening. Have you tried sticking blending longer? and water phase into oil. Often when you formulate, it’s the technique that can make or break the end result. i would avoid spraying with alcohol. Let the lotion settle naturally overnight to let the bubble dissipate on their own. i stick blend longer than two minutes. Possible Optiphen could give you trouble - some of them need more emulsifier to incorporate. You might be seeing preservative floating!
  2. I will shoot a photo of the one I have and post. The base is wood and warped, the plain parts stable and washable. i had a Korean wire cutter made from wood but it had same warping issue so had to can it.
  3. I bought a similar one from Etsy. Here are my thoughts. It will work for a while BUT wood is hard to clean and then it starts to warp. The wood soap cutting tools including one from Asia all warped out on me. I wish I had purchased an all plexi/plastic one! The one I use is similar to your design. Could you cut plexi?
  4. Here. https://fortune.com/2020/07/24/usps-mail-delivery-postmaster-general-louis-dejoy-us-postal-service/ Trump-backed postmaster general plans to slow mail delivery
  5. I explained to the owner who was quite curt, that I have to try samples before buying larger sizes. Simple as that. So they lost my business there are other companies who are also pleasant to deal with that I shop from. C’est la vie!
  6. Hey there is it just me? I was interested in a few samples of one ounce oils and the shipping was about 20 dollars. I inquired about cost and got this back. I explained that without testing samples, I would not purchase larger sizes. Unfortunately can’t use supplier with expensive shipping. This is from Just Scents.
  7. That looks like it is essential oil. And you can get cheap because it’s close to supplier in India. You will have to experiment with the palm wax. But use what you can get! I think work with the palm and wood wicks in glass jar and see if you can wick and get scent with oils available. Then work on cement containers. Are these something you are making? I know people have to seal them but don’t know with what exactly or if the material is available to you. You might search you tube and see if there are any videos about sealing cement containers - the issue is sealing and then safety of sealant when exposed to heat from wick and wax with essential oils. Many essential oils and fragrance oils are strong enough to dissolve paints, lacquers etc. its a lot of testing to make sure your container is fire proof for the duration of candle burn. As,you are,in Asia, you do have access to lots of candle containers with cheap, shipping fro China, Taiwan etc.
  8. I went to Just Scents and wanted to order just a few samples, and shipping was close to 20 dollars. So nixed that site unless shipping changes.
  9. Here is a link for face mask patterns all types https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/diy-face-masks-4800726?utm_campaign=artcraftsl&utm_medium=email&utm_source=cn_nl&utm_content=21196866&utm_term=list_gl_dt_crafts-default
  10. You can always sell your unwanted wax on EBay, or here!
  11. For ultimate control photoshop, illustrator, Indesign. You can also use Affinity software which is the way cheaper version of Adobe creative photoshop etc. I use all of above. Yes learning curve but if you are into graphics the sky is the limit. There are other graphic programs online but you will be limited to what you can do.
  12. Karen of course it can work! Get a harder paraffin, and use with 464. You will have to work the percentages of each to get the scent throw but also the ease of opting out of container. There are many threads of combinations on craft server. Order some sample waxes and give it a go!
  13. Try the smaller wicks and let burn for two hours you might change your mind. Also mushrooms can happen when you don’t use sharp tools to cut wick. If you see a mushroom first burn, try trimming see if it helps. I do think lower your fragrance load to 6-7 per cent and try smaller wick. What you might think is a good wick at beginning of candle burn can change when you get to middle.
  14. I purchased easy beads wax to try and cannot stand the smell. It smells to me of canola oil which I can smell a million miles cold and when burning. Nope. Coconut waxes, I don’t think they are there yet. They keep changing the formulas, always out of stock. better off formulating your own.
  15. I second cd wicks and try 7, 8 maybe smaller. That’s a small container size. Htp wicks go smaller 52, 62.
  16. Most coffee fragrances I have worked with are super strong. Try lowering fragrance to 6 per cent. You can try a wick size up or down after and or change wick type. What wax are you using.
  17. You should order 1 ounce tester bottles and make some sample candles. Then test these out on family and friends. Anyone can make suggestions, but seriously you have to know your locale, and customers. How do you want to represent your company? Some companies only do bakery scents, some do only moody scents - decide on how you want to represent your company with your fragrances for candles. I can tell you fragrance selection can be very different from coast to coast.
  18. Wick size matters with C3. And also they do keep changing the fragrance formulas which makes me crazy. Some fragrances just don’t cut it in wax anyway. I just did testers with some Flaming scents and some were so light I wondered why even sell them. Cured still light. Would’nt even use them for bath and body certainly not in class soap.
  19. Been there already on both sides. I do let the customer know due to Covid all shipment from carriers are inaccurate at this time. USPS is doing a wonderful thing where they say delivered then take up to a week longer to actually have packages delivered. You can email customers and let them know, or put announcement on your websites.
  20. Plain soy looks like that, Some waxes are better than others for that afterburn crunchy look.
  21. Talltayl do you blend C1? I like it but shrinks in glass unless you blend. Great for tins though! Bill, get some samples of other waxes. You can try C1, and C3. Very good reliable waxes. They each have their quirks and you can read the threads here about how to pour and wick them. If you hate the craters from soy then you have to go for either a paraffin or parasoy wax. It’s really up to how you want to make your candles.
  22. There are many milk powder bath salts. You do want to play with proportion and packaging as they can get clumpy from moisture. Also you want to see how they would age, if there are any other additive and ingredients you want to ,ale sure they do t go bad or change color. Experiment! Get your basic formula down then change percentage to add milk powders and fragrance. Be aware if you use a fragrance with vanillin you’re mix will not age well in color! Your lovely white color with turn tan or darker.
  23. You would want it to smell like Hermès, Le Labo, Tom Ford, Santa Maria Novella. Those are all luxury bath and fragrance products. Occitane, Fragonard. There should not be any sweet bakery smells. Fresh, herbal, classic floral.
  24. You need to write a policy and put it on every listing. Regarding so called lost items. Tell your customer since you have confirmed delivery from USPS tracking, they need to put in a note to their mail person with tracking number, and also file lost package with USPS. regarding mutilated packages, you need a photo. if this wasn’t a large order you can also refund half as person did not provide photos, then on EBay you can ban that customer I believe. If your policies aren’t clearly stated, EBay and Amazon, even your own website there cannot be any arguments. People are claiming many things these days as money is tight, and there are always scammers so best to be super clear. You can put a note in box with policy information, and or go here for policy about your store on web. I could tell you more about online shenanigan thieves but don’t want to give anyone ideas.
  25. That’s like Candle Science saying they have changed all their fragrances so you can promote them as clean scents. I am not a fan of either one of these companies. They are just trying to market and keep their customers or attract.
