I agree with Talltayle. SLSA does slow the fizz. I generally use 1/8-1/4 SLSA. Also, Baking soda/Citric should be 2:1 not 1:1 I use shea butter or avocado oil and alcohol. It takes a lot of testing to get them just right. Also, temperature/humidity when making plays a big part.
I don't use a lot of EO's but I have had customers ask as the liked to diffuse them. Several stated they were using YL and Doterra and I told them to save their money and recommended a couple resources that I've used. I also explain to them that there is no such thing as Therapeutic Grade and those companies use it as a sales pitch to make it sound like they are better. I tell them the companies I've shared only sell high quality EO's. I do not share where I get my Fragrance Oils though.
I've sad too. I have a few that I've been using for years and would have liked the opportunity to stock up. I love their Pink Sugar, Cranberry Citrus, BRV and Pear.
Check out Nurture Soap Soap Supplies. Carrie was having quite a few of the Lush scents duped. I've been using OMG Olive from Nature's Garden for a few years. I really like it but haven't tried it from anywhere else.
I made soap with this and it sold out in one show. I liked it. Haven't used it in anything else though.

I do 4 shows a year. 3 of which I drive at least 3 hours. However, they are worth it for me to do. I quit doing most of the local shows as they are so over populated with B&B it's crazy.
I generally start low and increase it if need be. It's easier to add then take away. You may also need to add PS 20 to keep it mixed in. 2% is a good place to start.
Check out WSP. They carry odor neutrilizing fo's

I haven't tried them as yet.
That looks pretty. Can't wait to see the cut soap. I need to make soap, scrubs, sprays, bathbombs so badly but life has gotten in the way (daughter and grandkids just moved back by me). I need to get ready for some shows in the fall and make wedding favors for the end of September.
That's not good. I have tried several VS and noticed a different smell. Was going to give this one a shot but now I'm hesitant. I hate wasting soaps and would hate to have it change what my customer really like.
That sounds ick to me as well. All the years I've been making soap that's a first I've heard of adding baby powder. Though some folks add all kinds of strange things. Maybe it would be like adding a clay? Not sure. I don't use a lot of clays in my soap either.
I've not run into this issue at all. I have several that I use that I started with 1 oz bottles and they have all smelled and performed well from one order to the next. I should state that I don't use them in candles though, only B&B products.
