  1. Very nice! I don't have one that fancy but have a single cutter and makes guest soaps with it. Great gifts. I use them for wedding/baby shower favors.
  2. Weighed on a scale. Tare your container weight then weigh the product.
  3. I pretty much use my own handmade soap to wash my face, body. Then I use my own lotion or body butter. On my face I use olive squalene and have been doing so for a couple years now and I like it. Can't swear it does anything magical but it works for me, I don't break out and my skin feels smooth. Someone on another forum recommended it and swore by it. I thought what the heck. I get it from Amazon.
  4. A fruity Sweat Pea that I like but haven't put it in product yet is Fragrance Laboratory's, Rhubarb Sweet Pea. It smells really good OOB. Hope to get it into some soap or scrub soon.
  5. I have given up. I had huge intentions of getting some gifts made but things are just too crazy and I'm out of time. I had surgery in October and have had a 5 lb lifting restriction that's on until the end of December. My stock is low, my sales were down as I stopped earlier than usual this year and I'm kind of stressing a bit. I do have my Christmas decorations up and am helping my daughter who is a teacher prepare a meal for next Thursday for 100 of her kids many of which are currently homeless or in bad situations. She teaches alternative education for at risk kids 16-22 trying to graduate high school. That I'm excited to help with. Cooking these days are my therapy since I haven't made soap or any other B&B things.
  6. I have used NG's in soap. It kind of smelled like the aftermath of a 3 day frat party to me. Not sure if it would be better in a candle but didn't care for it in soap. It sold but only as a gag, don't think too many actually washed with it.
  7. I think many people made, tested and then tested again for a long time before even thinking of selling their product. I don't do candles but have been playing with it for over a year. I do soap and other B&B and have been doing so for 7 years I tested and researched for well over a year before even considering selling. I had family and friends as guinea pigs. I also didn't sell anything until I had insurance and all my other ducks in a row (tax stuff, sales tax, business registration etc). Others may have a different perspective. But I didn't want to risk everything if something went wrong. Unfortunately, we have no control on how others will use our products.
  8. Nature's Garden Candles, Aztec, Rustic Escentuals or WSP
  9. Yes, I see this all the time. I try to educate my customers or potential customers when they ask if my products are all natural. I make zero claims, I'm up front and honest. I see so many stating all natural and making claims to heal, cure etc and the hazards of colorants that aren't natural (ha ha) and FO's. That makes me nuts and sometimes angry. As they are duping their customers. I have a good customer base at my shows and online so I try not to let it bother me.
  10. I think it may be mold from the honey. Honey is water soluble and not oil soluble. It could be food for other organisms. I've never had that happen and use the same ingredients other than the honey in mine. I do get some grains sometimes from the shea butter.
  11. I only make B&B but some of my favorites are: Cracklin Birch - husbands favorite soap (calls it Crackin Bitch) Indian Sandalwood - Roll-on perfume, soap & solid perfume Perfect Man Mango Sorbet Passionate Kisses Love Spell (Loving Spell) Vanilla Champagne Lilac (not my favorite but a good seller) Teakwood & Cardamom Bubble Luscious (smells like bazooka) China Rain Peach Magnolia Raspberry
  12. All the time! I currently have 5 boxes of FO's I need to unload. Just haven't had the time to list them on a destash group or craigslist
  13. I've been using Peak's Pink Sugar for years. Going to give TT's a try. I have several customers who love PS.
  14. I too use the Love Spell from NG. I have several Love Spell fans and I bought it from 4-5 different suppliers and let them decide. They all picked the NG version so that's what I've stuck to.
  15. I can't imagine selling without insurance. Not worth the risk. Crazy stuff in my eyes.
  16. I've placed my order. Thank you for doing this.
  17. I would be interested in a pound of Pink Sugar and a pound of Sweet Amber please. I've only ever used Peak's Pink Sugar so time to try something else.
  18. I too recommend Fragrance Laboratories. She has a few that I really like. Sometimes shipping is a bit slow but I plan accordingly. I quit using Soapalooza for the same reason as others. FO's just quit working right for me.
  19. Those are really lovely. What a great idea.
  20. I saw your website and your candles are beautiful. I've not seen anything like them.
  21. I too like the Barbershop 1920's. I also like Bay Rum(WSP), Perfect Man or Cracklin Birch from NG. I make soap, shaving soap and aftershave with them.
  22. Very pretty. I too find it's not a huge seller.
  23. I'm looking forward to being able to get the few I use and stock up. I'd not heard of them before and after checking their site, there are no reviews of their oils that I saw and hopefully they don't jack up the prices. Guess I will have to wait and see.
