  1. My favorite vanilla is vanilla delicious from DS, and I sampled vanilla pods from C&S and it was good IMO.
  2. I love 6006, but I have been using Candlewic CBL 130, same results, @Trappeur I use 6%. PS You still using Vanilla Voodoo girl?? LOL
  3. Carebear, I don't know about a true raspberry, but I just love Candle Cocoons Raspberry Cordial.
  4. Moonstar I use 1 oz FCO, 1 oz or less (deoends on FO) and 2 oz Cyclo, all in a 4oz spray bottle. It isn't oily to me, but I am making my room sprays mostly. I usually use perfumers base to make my body spray. Karen
  5. I would compare the total cost for pick up/vs shipping, since BA is double the price. I have never used any BA oils, but CS oils I have used have been fantastic. I love 6006 for the throw, but many straight soy users have decent throw from the 464. 10% seems high, I shoot for 6%, but I haven't used 464 lately so what do I know.
  6. I don't know what you mean by runny, all FO's are liquid so therefore runny.
  7. What I would give for a bottle of Rocky Mountain Pine, form Heartfelt. Remember that scent, it was the best back in the day.
  8. I used to use TCS pomegranate, it was very good, any out there that are close to theirs. TIA
  9. As far as pumpkin pie, I am stuck on CS pumpkin pie, I am burning it right now, it is great! That is Candle Science)
  10. Moonstar I say it is more vanilla, but very sweet vanilla, to me not like a dessert. Did you get to try it yet?
  11. I have only used orange Danish, and it is very good.
  12. Many years ago when I first played around with candles, my friend and I put Crisco in our paraffin, and when I played with straight soy wax I always added coconut oil. To me it helped with scent throw.
  13. I have candles made and curing, I was impatient so I am burning the Downtown Bourbon. It is definitely a wicker upper. Here is their description of it: Notes; Top; Jasmine Sambac, Italian Bergamot; Heliotrope Middle; Vanilla Bourbon, Cigar Parlor, Amber Crystal Bottom; Cedre Woods, Burgundy Reserve, Textured Musk Now I have been burning it around 2 hours, and to my nose it smells like a coffee type scent. I can smell the vanilla, and a little cigar/tobacco, but mostly it reminds me of a scent I tried called cappuccino brulee. The hot throw is moderate, not bad, but I prefer scents that knock your socks off, LOL. Was hoping for a good whiskey/bourbon smell, so it is a no for me. I used CW CBL-130 (parasoy blend), 9 oz hex jars, LX 16 wicks, More reviews to come.
  14. I have never tried a mix like that, I bought fallen leaves from CC once, it was a good one. I would like it to smell more burning though too. Let us know how that works for you.
  15. I only make them for myself, but I use cyclo, fractioned coconut oil, and FO.
  16. Is that Kentucky Bourbon a good scent? I always wanted a great bourbon/whiskey scent.
  17. I hate when that happens, it happened to me with Strawberry jam from TCS, a long time ago. I used this FO for years, ordered 2 LBS, neither bottle worked. It was very heavy, would not incorporate into the wax, finished candles looked like oily jars of goo. No matter what I did it was horrible. I did send some back to them for them to check out, they said they tested it, the FO was fine. I threw away the FO, and moved on. UGH!
  18. I love WSP santas pipe, lots of cherry.
  19. Well I am working on some patio candles for my sister, so I needed wicks. I ordered from CW and of course I couldn't resist ordering FO. Reviews OOB Red Pineapple-smells very full and fruity like pineapple with a side of sexy/sweet Black Cherry-very strong/straight black cherry/love it THE SPIRITS COLLECTION Midnight Lounge-strong on the patchouli side, sweet and smooth, I like it Smoked Cognac-smells like a wine scent I had before, sweet and spicy Downtown Bourbon-the cigar/vanilla comes through, I wish it had more bourbon, but that may change in wax Whiskey and Jazz-Was OOS didn't get to try a sample :(, it's in stock now. Can't wait to get them into wax, going to play today, Yippee!!!
  20. I used 6006 by itself with LX wicks, worked good, but they do mushroom. I agree that a CD would work better since more soy is added. I don't worry about wet spots, it will drive you crazy, especially since the weather/temps factor into candlemaking. I always go for the perfect burn. Good Luck.
  21. iMO I would think it would depend on the oil also, but I don't think it would make the paraffin under perform. that is my opinion. If you are using a preblended parasoy it was designed to be used that way. Yet if you blended your own parasoy, then it would be your testing to get the right combo.
