  1. Hi. I use C-3 and I'm still fairly new to the game. Have you tried pouring at a lower temperature? That helps me achieve smooth tops, along with slowing the cooling process down as much as possible. HTH
  2. @MilosCandles I thought so. My public library branch has a 3D printer, and the library system is big on all things 3D printed. They're awesome!
  3. I use a wick trimmer I purchased on clearance from the store, At Home.
  4. Don't enable me! 😉 I wish they were open on Saturdays again since I'm local to them - about an hour drive from me. I have both their Sandalwood Vanilla & Egyptian Amber (LOVE THEM!) so it looks like I'll be purchasing Asian Sandalwood, too. Thanks for the suggestion, @kandlekrazy!
  5. Everything looks great, Candybee! I especially like the dog products, but that's because I have a very well-loved/spoiled fur baby, Houston, who has tons of allergies.
  6. Ooh, I like the first one, Trappeur. The tagline looks best on that one, because at the bottom it kind of blends in with the tree. Although it blends with the tree, the tagline works on the round label, but not the on the square one. Hope that helps.
  7. @Quentin Yes, brand recognition is everything. I can't unsee the two people sharing a chip over a bowl when I see a bag of Tostitos. 😄 I'm working on my logo now and I'm trying to incorporate a candle flame so it's recognizable what the product is, but at the same time, I also like logos where the name is the logo itself, lol. The dilemma!
  8. Congratulations on your first fair! Sending lots of happy energy your way. 💛
  9. Thank you! Yes, it is so much fun. Hey there, Arch Rock. I studied Library & Information Science. Works out 'cause I'm a librarian. 😀 I unofficially minored in Psych during undergrad because I took so many Psych courses.
  10. It smells wonderful; you should totally purchase it on your next go round. 😄
  11. I am! It's so great and I can't wait to burn it. I have a larger size (16 oz.) in my cart right now...along with their elite jars and more Nature C-3 wax...
  12. Awww, what a nice and supportive (and enabling? 🤣) husband! I started in 2016, but stopped because grad school and full time job was taking SO much of my time. Now, I'm finished with grad school and started a new job that allows me more free time, so hey, why not? Family and friends are still my go-tos for testing and such, but I'm hoping to launch officially next year.
  13. Ooh, looks great, Quentin! I, too, love the story behind the name. Simple, effective, and you know what the business is just by seeing the logo.
  14. Hi everyone! I'm a newbie around these parts, but I just want to say Thank you for whoever mentioned something about TFC's Salted Caramel. I purchased a 4 oz bottle to sample because I had that much faith in everyone here (you haven't steered me wrong yet!) and poured tins (4 oz) to test out wicks (HTP, Eco, CD, Zinc, and I forget the others) from FC and IG 6006. Two days later, my house still smells like salted caramel and I haven't even burned the candles yet. I think I'm gonna let these babies cure for a week, and then I'll test. But..... I'm in love!
  15. Hmm, I haven't gotten that debris with my wooden wicks (purchased from TFC) but I make sure to trim the wick once the candle has cooled. I usually use either toenail clippers or a wick trimmer, and dump the bits in the trash bin.
  16. Same here, Quentin. When you're a perfectionist and a chandler, you spend most of your time shaking your head and such.
  17. Great questions, Quentin. I've noticed this as well, since I'm new to the game, and I've been heating the wax to 185/190 degrees. I poured those candles a week ago, so I could test one tonight and see how it does...
  18. I haven't, but I was introduced to them on another candle making forum (one on Reddit). A user there said he'd ordered them, but he hadn't used them yet. The containers are beautiful, but expensive.
  19. I've tried TFC's Smoking Vanilla, and it's too smoky for me. I think it needs more vanilla, and less smoky. I use 6006 or C3 wax, if that helps. I'm interested in their Asian Sandalwood, too. I ordered more sample wicks for testing, and bigger bottles of Caribbean Salsa and Egyptian Amber.
