  1. I like WSP's Lilac in Bloom. It's the most authentic I've tried.
  2. Sounds like it was a fluke, then. Thank you.
  3. I had to comment, and I guess there's also a question in here: I bought some FOs from Bittercreek and they looked as though they'd been on the shelf since the 70s, and they smelled absolutely nothing like what they're supposed to be. Not only that, but they smelled bad, in general. I've ordered from tons of suppliers and have never had that happen. I was wondering if I had some sort of supernatural experience or if this is a thing.
  4. What if you called your vanilla "Bourbon Vanilla" or "Deep, Dark Madagascar Vanilla" or something to that effect so the dark color wouldn't throw people off? I agree with staying away from anything called "Tobacco" due to the smoking/cancer link, but since tobacco scents are so popular and appealing, perhaps you could call them something entirely different like "Warm & Spicy" or "Cozy Night In," etc. I'm not giving the titles any deep brain activity, just wondering if the name changes would help you offer the scents you want to include. Women also love masculine scents, and tons of new and niche perfumes are unisex, so I would absolutely include some scents like that. Salty Mariner, Barbershop, and Black Sea are generally considered masculine, but women like them. Since nothing else is super sweet, pound cake would cover that, and I think you could still carry Lemon Verbena, as it's not really sweet. If you're making these for holiday time (I'm just guessing because of the pine), you could consider a spicy cinnamon scent that would be different than the others. I hope I helped a little!
  5. It depends on your brand. Do you have pretty straightforward names for your scents or do you use more creative or humorous titles?
  6. I don't know about FC, but Candlescience's Fruit Slices is so strong I can't even be in the same room with the bottle. I've never out it in wax, but with a strength like that, it has to throw.
  7. Probably a third to half of my FOs have come from WSP, and I have hundreds. Out of all of them, there was one I didn't really like. Are they worth the price? Yes, if you can't get it anywhere else (which is true for a lot of them) or if the competitor doesn't offer the same quality.
  8. I didn't get this email, even though I subscribed, so that's sad. I can never get a hold of her, either. I've tried several times over the years. I don't get it.
  9. OOB it does not have any other notes than raspberry.
  10. Every BA FO I've purchased has been top-notch quality.
  11. I tend not to like Rose because it tends to smell musty or fake, but BA's Fresh Rose is spot on. Now, for Violet, it depends on what you're looking for- if you're talking about the light, powdery violet similar to the delicate candies, JS has one. BA has a violet that may be more like a fresh violet, but I honestly have no idea what a fresh violet smells like, because I've never really detected much scent at all. BA's Jasmine is also authentic. I don't have many of their oils, I just happen to have those.
  12. I am on this same search. I keep getting recs for NG, and Nature's Items, but I don't care for NG, and I've heard mixed reviews for NI. I did receive a raspberry from Welligton a few days ago, but I haven't put it in product yet.
  13. Someone is selling these FOs, but The Candlemaker's Store does not give scent descriptions for their oils. Would anyone be willing to share their experiences with these? Thank you!
  14. Of course, I HAVE to ask which FO that was.
  15. I love BB's Bergamot Black Tea and really love their Black Tea! Nothing out there remotely compares. Like NaughtyNancy, I don't love fruity scents, and I agree with Strugglebrother that this fragrance isn't Earl Grey. It's just really nice, and I'll be re-ordering.
  16. I have been using EcoSoya CB Advanced with pretty good results, and have been waiting to hear about the reformulation.
  17. I get mixed information on this. Some say never do it, either because it will destroy the diffuser or because they don't believe it's a good idea to inhale the FOs in the mist. I'm not sure why it would be different than the oils eminating from a candle. It's fragrance molecules in the air, right? I don't know, and I'd like answers!
  18. I tried several paper and book scents from SOS. None of them hit the mark for me. Believe it or not, one of the key components to an old book smell (not musty) is vanilla. I read that and didn't think it was true, but I put my face in a book and it is definitely there. The specific aroma chemical is allegedly vanilla ex lignan, so I bought some in powder form. It smelled no different than any other vanillin.
  19. Thanks for the update! I have not placed an order...yet...
  20. I've never done this. I read all of this thread. I did not go through 6 pages of posts from last time, admittedly. I would like to try several of these, but I STILL don't understand how to do that. I went to college 'stuff, yet I am confused.
  21. I tried a ton of them and they are ALL good and I wish their shipping wasn't $453087360363 because wow.
