I'd like to know, too, since very few vendors are in my area.

I used Honey Bunny from NG in sugar scrub and it is perfect. I also put it in white M&P- loved it. Today, I'm going to put it in some wax. I have to say, I've been disappointed by most FOs from NG. I've had some that were headache-inducing and way to strong to even keep in my house (not kidding) and some that were just weird. This one, though, is perfect. It's a dupe of Lush's Honey I Washed the Kids, which I've never smelled. Has anyone purchased one from a different supplier?

Ecosoya CB Advanced Users: Can We Talk?
glasllyn replied to glasllyn's topic in General Candle Making Discussions
I agree that consistency is important and counting on a product is almost scary. Best of luck with the testing. I hope you find the wax of your dreams. Keep us posted! -
These ads were gone for awhile, and now they're back. I have to click to X them out and then I can type. If I don't, I can't type anything. This is no annoying because it happens every single time I'm on a new page here. I'm using the latest version of Chrome, Windows 10. It's maddening. Do you know of a fix?

Ecosoya CB Advanced Users: Can We Talk?
glasllyn replied to glasllyn's topic in General Candle Making Discussions
I know people don't like CB Advanced, but I use it for melts and it has been great. I get great hot and cold throw, high scent load, and no frosting. @Glassfishy ,I read that they're coming out with a reformulation this month. Have you heard about that, too? Maybe you won't have to make the big switch. -
I was able to take care of it via email, and I did tell them I had trouble. I want that Vanilla Voodoo. (Also, I have a FO buying problem, Admitting it is the first step or something.)

I just like to think about ridiculous things. I should probably reign that in a little so people don't think I'm being poisoned to the point of insanity by FO fumes.

Has Anyone Tried FOs from The Chemistry Store?

Did they charge you $20 to ship? Lebermuth? Do they actually list that somewhere? I didn't notice! EDIT: I See it now. Thanks! -
I don't get "Edge." It doesn't really live up to its name.

That's kind of funny. They have two: one with a beautiful name, and one that sounds like it's in a barrel out back somewhere. How'd that happen? FO Namer #1: "What should we call this Honeysuckle?" FO Namer #2: "Hmmm. It smells lovely. How about 'Heavenly'?" FO Namer #1: "That's nice. OK, how about this other Honeysuckle?" FO Namer #2: ">sniff sniff< Beautiful! I think we should call it "Surplus!" FO Namer #1 "That's why we hired you, Greg."

It's from BB: TCP clear and white. They're the only ones I've ever used. (I'm waiting for new soap to come, and I'm like a little kid waiting for Santa. Just sharing.)

I liked how many options were offered. Hope it's helpful! http://www.fragrancelaboratory.com/soapmaking-calculator.html

The prices here are fantastic. I was wondering about the quality. Anyone know? https://www.chemistrystore.com/Products-Fragrance_Oils_A-G.html

What's the "sugar" you used?

Thanks for this. I love the little gumdrops! I need to learn how to make them!

That doesn't look like it would discolor very much at all. Huh. Well, I just had an online chat with them. On the bright side, I just made tarts with their Chocolate Fudge and they smell truly edible!

I honestly want to send this to a whole bunch of people because, yes, we all smell things differently, but I can't imagine anyone smelling this and thinking of any kind of food item. I wasn't concerned with the color since I could see right away it was dark. You're right, it would need a VS. We must have two different scents. I'm sincerely wondering that. You know how some people think one vanilla isn't accurate and another says it's not? Totally understandable. This is different. This didn't even smell like the kind of cotton candy you'd get in a cheap kids' lipbalm at Walmart. And then there's the way it behaved (or did not behave, in this case) in my soaps. I think you're right about contacting them.

Thank you, Moonstar! I really need a cotton candy for this scent I'm trying to create. The weird thing is, the reviews were very positive, which makes me question the reviews on their website.

I don't see any recent posts in the scent review area, which is too bad because it would be great if we were alerting each other of the horrors of bad scents, and I felt like I had to save you all from a tragic mistake. Here's my review: GROOOOOOOOSSSSS! THIS FO SMELLS LIKE FAKE-ITY FAKE FAKENESS! Cotton Candy? WHERE? Where is the cotton candy part of this cotton candy, Candlescience? (It also did weird things to my soap bases, making them unusable, but I posted about that bit in the M&P section. It was paranormal.) I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the worst FO I've every worked with. So glad I only ordered an ounce. Hey, everyone! One ounce of Cotton Candy for sale! Free, actually! Nah, I wouldn't subject you to this. Yuck.

I thought maybe this should go under scent reviews, but no one seems to post there, and this is important. Even if this FO smelled good, (which it doesn't, it's the most inauthentic cotton candy I've ever smelled) it made my BB bases rubbery and, thus, impossible to layer. I used both clear and white bases, in two different concentrations of the FO. Regardless of the concentration, it had the same rubbery character. needless to say, I threw all of it away. I've never had this happen before. Usually, the white base is very hard and not at all pliable. Just a weird, yucky experience all around. Excuse me, but I have to take out the garbage and bleach my house so I don't have to smell this anymore...
