  1. That would be great. Do you use the 464 and 415 separately or as a mixture?
  2. You know me already. I have not tried WSP's cotton candy.I did get one from Maple Sreet. I made a melt but haven't melted it yet. Cold, it's not cotton candy, per se, but it's wayyy better than the other one. Maple St. had some nice ones...but that's another post.
  3. May I ask why you chose the 600 over the 650 (pillar/tart blend)?
  4. I make reeeeeeeally small batches when I test FOs. Sometimes as little as .08 oz of the FO. I make a few melts to see if they're worth keeping or just gross. So, I was wondering if I could buy a few ounces of different waxes rather than buy some and throw it away. Is that a thing people do? Is that just dumb? (My apologies if this is in the wrong place. I don't have it all figured out yet.)
  5. Thank you! I need to place orders with WSP and Flaming, so naturally these are from neither
  6. The code is Lonestar17. Sale ends on the 11th.
  7. I've read mixed reviews when I searched here for Lonestar. But I also know things change and maybe they have new stuff. Is there anything I should try?
  8. Since mine was discontinued (Eco Advanced). Which parasoys are you using @WaxingPoetic and @soshiegirl?
  9. I's like to get some of those heart clamshells and find out!
  10. Well, feel free to keep those favorites coming because it's the best thing when you find "the one."
  11. You're so kind. Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I'm not working on cupcakes; oddly enough, I was able to get that to work. I'm talking about simple layers with BB bases. I'm beginning to think it was the FO I was using because it made everything rubbery and I'll not be using it again. I'm going to give it a shot this morning with a different FO and let you know what happens. Im sure you'll be on the edge of your seat the whole time!
  12. But wouldn't that liquefy the soap? I'm so confused.
  13. Brambleberry Dark Rich Chocolate and Candlescience Chocolate Fudge Used in both BB Shea M&P base and Ecosoya Advanced wax as a melt. BB's Dark Rich Chocolate: Legit chocolate cake. Candlescience Chocolate Fudge: Childhood memories of me, a spoon, and a can of Betty Crocker chocolate fudge frosting.
  14. It's terrible. What makes it worse is that I need several FOs but they're all from different vendors, which means shipping, shipping, shipping. Bah!
  15. It doesn't matter which base I use. I spray with the correct alcohol. The layers do not adhere. They always come apart. I find that the directions are too vague. "Wait until it forms a skin" means nothing to me. "Press the top to test." OK. But how firm should it be? Despite the tutorials, I just can't make it work. I'm missing something. There must be a correct way to do it, not just vague "when it's ready" instructions. Maybe an exact temperature? Something? Anything? Please help with this sad soap situation. Thanks.
  16. I think you need to have a tax ID to order directly from them, but I could be wrong. I'm a photographer, so I'm used to buying from suppliers who sell only to professionals. I am not a professional maker of soap or candles, (my questions here should make that obvious) so I get all bunched up when I can't access a product. Anything off-limits= I need it.
  17. Dear People Who Suggested Vanilla Voodoo, You were right. Thank you.
  18. @kandlekrazy Did you order two cases of the hearts?
  19. 5 1oz bottles for $5. Use code april17 https://www.candlemaking.com
  20. Is anyone familiar with this vendor?
  21. Is your concern for the customer? I wouldn't take them out to sell them; I'd test them in other molds and sell them in the clamshells. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.
