  1. I ran into the same thing with 4633, wicking with the 36z, worked very well for some fo's, others drowned out- it was frustrating! Good luck with your testing- hope you find one that works for most of your fo's!!
  2. more for lotion, nice warm bakery scent, haven't tried it in wax yet- just may have to do that..!
  3. I've tested BCN's Zucchini Bread- found it to be strong, and I think creamy along with the spice notes...
  4. Good luck to you too! I was trying to think through the process, I may have to another pyrex, and a hot plate to keep it warm... I had gotten so comfortable with my double boiler method, but I'm sure once I jump into using the presto, the new process with work itself out.... and I'll probably like it better (hoping it's faster too!)
  5. I would try the Tranquil Waters and Juniper Aloe- esp for summer, I think they'd be cooling, summery scents...
  6. I love the idea of using a mug in the car- esp in the hot, hot days of summer- new car freshener ideas!! Hope you can salvage some of your melts... I too love your packaging and labels!
  7. So, so glad you posted this thread- cuz I was having the same trouble a few weeks back. I've been using the double boiler method, good results, but time consuming as I've been making small batches (for my own testing, and gifts for family). I have now purchased a presto pot, and was wondering the same thing, how to keep the wax warm after transferring to a pour pot/pyrex to mix the fo. I hadn't thought of using a pyrex glass measuring cup to mix in the fo and then pour- I'm going to have to try that out.... thank goodness for all the experts on this site!!
  8. they look great! bet they smell wonderful with that combination of scents!!
  9. Wonderful- love these with the layers and wolf on the front!! Beautiful!
  10. CS's is a nice strong orange scent- sweet like a candy orange but not quite, has a little spice to it also.
  11. HA!! You can be enabled like the rest of us, I know!! (I guess its better than other addictions, or I just love having boxes plopped on my doorstep at regular intervals- makes it feel like Christmas all year round!)
  12. Karen- there is nothing wrong with you- you're likely more disciplined than the rest of us!!
  13. I am 15 min from Sweetcakes- which is very dangerous for me! I can pick up my order very easily. I do love some of their oils, have been testing some in my tarts and they are really strong. Still testing some in lotion, too, but finding some of the citrus fo's, which I love, tend to fade quickly in lotion, but that may just be the nature of citrusy fo's too.
  14. NG carries it- it smells wonderful, but doesn't have the orange notes in it...
  15. Beautiful as always Suzy!! so creative- love the labels!!
  16. What do you mix with your 4794 for tarts? or do you use it alone?
  17. bumping this thread- any reviews on the fo's that you tried from Connie's? I may be placing an order for the 3022 wax, and may want to try some of her fo's too.. TIA!!
  18. bumping this thread- just reviewed my notes after testing some of my melts, I've been thinking that my PB/Excel blend has been the best so far, but then noticed that ALL 5 that I tested with 3022/4794 (Cran Apple Marmalade, Black Rasp Vanilla and Sage and Lemongrass from Peak, and Hotel Costes and Snow Place Like Home from SC) were all strong and lasted a long time! Is this telling me something? This is making me rethink my wax blend and testing, and also making me a little crazy!! I just wish I could get the 3022 and 4794 at the same supplier!
  19. Just testing the CS Orange and Chili Pepper this week- it is strong- nice spicy orange scent....
  20. sorry I can't help- this is one of the few suppliers I haven't ordered from yet! Good luck- hope you find some winners!
  21. You need to post some pics! (and really make some of us jealous!!)
  22. Beautiful part of the state!
  23. where can you find a scale that measures in tiny amounts (ie: .01)? Most places I've checked only go to .1- maybe I'll also try ml or grams....
