    need ideas

mini-sampler tin? put in small wrapped melts of different fo's- put bakery types in one, "fresh/clean" in another, seasonal ones, etc... for a theme, like put a small ornament in a xmas one for a small gift tin? nestle them on shredded paper on the inside? or do a combination, wax melt/bag of petals with mp/cute firestarter/bag of tealights- you;ll have to post some pics of the tins too... these would be so fun to create different things to put inside!
  2. Malayan Mango from CC is very good too....
  3. that is awesome! I may have to look for one of those!
  4. what creative ideas! Never thought to scent terra cotta- it would be a great way to use broken pots that you would otherwise throw away- I always learn something here- thanks so much! I've used aroma beads and depending on the scent, they last for a while. I put them in a small bag and hang in my closet to freshen clothes, and even put under my seat in the car to freshen up the car... now I have to dig out my old pots!!
  5. I will have to try the Champacca and Bamboo in wax- not really liking it OOB. I was the same with Hotel Costes- and I really like it in wax! It's made me a believer that some fo's behave differently in wax, and you cant go by OOB scent sometimes...
  6. I'm in MN also, and I agree, there are not many suppliers close by. Sweetcakes is in Edina, MN, so I can pick up from them as I'm only 15 min from them.- they have wonderful fo's and EO's. BCN is in WI, and Peak in Colorado. They are closer so shipping is typically quick and reasonable. I order only a few things from WSP (many of their prices seem high, even with the free shipping). I like Elememts, AH, Candle Cocoon (they are in WI too), MMS, NG, CS. I've been trying to narrow down my suppliers but it's hard! MMS has a special of free shipping with purchasing 7- 1 oz samples (but you can't order anything else, just those 7 oils, it does include fo's and eo's).
  7. Welcome! Have fun with your new venture! You've find a lot of wonderful advice and support on this board- its a great group!!
  8. they are SO pretty! bet they are fun to make too. I love the pattern from the mat and the crinkle edges- very creative!
  9. I love Apple Blossom from Peak- I put in aroma beads and put in sachets in my closet, very light, nice scent... Amazing Grace from SC is also very nice in lotion...
  10. I think you'll like all of those that you ordered- I like the Mango Sugar Mint, Snow Place Like Home, and Amazing Grace as well. I'll have to try mixing the Black Rasp and Pomegranate- sounds wonderful in soap or lotion, I always learn something here!
  11. I been using the large wood popsicle sticks, stir and then discard... I'll be checking out skewers or chopsticks now!
  12. just looked them up for you too, but Suzy's looking out for you too and is very quick!!
  13. you'll have to enter in your bank account #, which I was very hesitant to do at first, and I opened up a separate checking out at my bank just for this which gave me more peace of mind with entering this information. It really is easy to do, and you can also put in a credit card if you want to use that as a back up form of payment. You can request money to go from your paypal to your checking, and the other way also. good luck!- the site should be able to walk you through it too.
  14. problem? where? I don't see any problem- looks like a lot of fun playing with some fo's and wax !
  15. I love apple/cinnamon and vanilla scents- bakery and spicey scents too. Since starting down this journey of playing with wax/fo's, I've found that I've grown to like scents I didn't like before, although I'm also getting more picky too
  16. I too use pillar wax mixed with container that has additives, no vybar (I already have 2 kids btw so I'm good- you must have either a toddler or teenager? ) I haven't tried 1343 though. Ecosoya PB and Excel mixed together does make a strong melt too in my testing... so many combinations out there too (I took time researching here on the forum and came up with over 20 combinations that people swear by and love)... good luck! Hope you can find a good combo with your 1343...
  17. beautiful designs! you'll have to let us know if it sticks and doesn't fade- I have trouble with orange/citrus fragrances and eo's fading in my lotion- may have to try this one!
  18. this looks so wonderful! I'm sure you will love it when it's done! (can I say I'm a little jealous?
  19. MMS also has a Creamy Chai Tea, I have an ounce of it, in case you want to try a sample... (I haven't tried it yet but it does smell good OOB, very spicey)
  20. wonderful! What a find for you- keep us posted on how it works for you! (isn't it fun getting a deal too?)
  21. you might like coconut macaroon from cc- more sweet/bakery type.
  22. I'm planning to order some melt and pour soap from them, then of course had to look at their fragrances, I couldn't help myself. Any of their fo's that you recommend?
  23. Peak's birthday cake is one of the fo's I test with different wax combos because I always get a strong throw from it, and it's one of my favorites (I love bakery and vanilla scents). I do let them cure for awhile, esp with soy combos... Our noses can fool us sometimes too when pouring...
  24. she does have a store now- in WI- I've found when I use a little less concentration with her oils I have better luck, and you can smell more of the layers in the oil.
