I am a happily married, Christian mother of 4. My passion for candle making comes closely behind my passion for Christ, and teaching children about him! My 4 boys are as involved in my candle company as I am, they are my toughest critics!

  1. 😃😃😃 sounds like it! I’m gonna order and see! I searched and searched and that never came up. Btw: I did contact the local supplier, unfortunately they weren’t very helpful.
  2. It was amazing!! My hubbies favorite. I have none at all to be duplicated 😭 but They had to get it from somewhere, they didn’t mix their own scents. I will contact Lebermuth and see if they have it! Thanks!
  3. Hi all! Long time no see! My local supplier shut down, they were the only place I had seen Bourbon Toasted Pecan, has anyone seen this this scent anywhere else? It’s one of my favorites and I am desperate!
  4. Oh, I forgot to throw in the name of the supplier! http://www.tristatecandlesupply.net/ They are about 15 minutes from me, so I'm not sure how good they are with shipping, but I have had great experience with them!
  5. It's been a while since my last post, about a year I think! Just wanted to stop by and say Things in my neck of the woods are going well, I have been using the same wax for quite some time now, TRI 1278 for candles and TRI 6380 for my tarts. I have been very pleased with the results I have been getting, as well as some great reviews! I don't get to pour as often as I like, as I am now an LPN working full time, on midnight shift I have been burning up my local supply, 2 scents I highly recommend are the Bourbon Toasted Pecan and the Lemongrass and Orange. I have had great successs with both. I am still pouring into Pint and half pint jars, and making my wax crumbles. If things continue to progress as well as they have, I hope to apply to sell at a local festival next fall (2016). Your crafts have to be submitted and "juried" in May before your invited to be a vendor. It's called the WV Pumpkin Festival and it is HUGE! Here are my questions, my wax is a soy blend, I have had great success with it so far using zinc core wicks, but even though I put it on my labels and tell my testers, they still can't seem to get it through their heads that the wicks have to be trimmed! Very frustrating! So I'm wondering is it even worth the time and effort to test self trimming wicks, or should I just start bonking people when I hand them the candle?! Another question is, I picked up some Citronella FO on sale, I have yet to pour it. I'm wondering if there is a difference in the EO and FO, and if I need to use a special wick? Or if they can be effectively poured in the pint jars. I tried searching the topic but it didn't come up with much. Would love to hear how everyone is doing! Maybe now that life has slowed down a bit I can hang around some more!
  6. I'm trying to create some new labels. My trial has expired with the online labels design studio. Does anyone know which Avery template is compatible with the Online label design OL5030WX? It is the 3.375" x 2.3125" clam shell label. TIA Melissa
  7. I put a med size wick in a pint jar, not sure exact diameter, and used a 60/40 paraffin/soy blend, and also tried it straight paraffin. I definitely like the blend better. I hope I get some time to pour again soon. I really work too much at my other job. I will say I think I will be playing with these wicks for a while. And my husband loves them, he comes in every evening and lights a candle And I am going to have to place an order with Bittercreek soon. They are a supplier I have not tried yet, but have heard some wonderful things
  8. THANK YOU OG!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2: I don't know why that didn't occur to me!
  9. Thank you OG! I will be testing these candles myself. I was wondering about how to use 2 wicks. Do you split one and put the other in between the 2 pieces? Can you secure it with some sort of glue, or just stick it together with wax? I poured a couple in 4633, but I can't wait to get some 4627 and try it. I hope they throw as well as the brand candles do!
  10. Pouring for the first time in 6 months!! Wooo hooo!!!

  11. I bought some a few months ago, but was scared to put them in wax because I wasn't sure which to use. Well yesterday my hubby bought me 4 of the Woodwicks candles for mothers day! I was surprised at the wax, I expected soy, but apparently it is something like 4627. It doesn't say on the label if it is a parasoy, so I'm guessing it's straight paraffin. Great scent throw though. I'm going to go ahead and pour a couple using the 4633 that I have while I wait for payday to get some new wax. Anything I should look out for using these wicks?
  12. I didn't mean to confuse you, my intentions are not to mix all 4 waxes. I am using the 4625 for a tart blend. I'm mixing the 4786 with different ratios of the 4633 and 4630, and I blended 4786 with 20% 415. Just playing with what I have, and hopefully I will come up with something fantastic! Ty for the advice Eric.
  13. Love this!! I have paper notes, but I have been looking for a more secure way of keeping up with things. My poor notebook looks like it has been through war! As I am always back and forth between my phone and laptop, I need something that works with both. Looking into google drive now!!
