  1. leftover wax is wonderful for firestarters!!
  2. The best Clean Sheet I have found so far is Clean Sheets from Elements- extremely strong in my soy tarts- (I almost had to turn it off and it lasted several days!) It's been the nicest laundry scent I've found so far....
  3. I have not found a cinnamon bun or creme brulee that I like- it may just be me and my nose, but I just don't care for the ones that I have tried. Also, a good Almond- AH's Almond Creme is the best I have found so far. Honey has been a tough one - many seem too perfumey to me, I do like the L'Occitane Honey and Shea from Elements and WSP though. I may just be picky when it comes to scents- as so many others love the ones that I don't care for.... everyone's nose and preferences are different....
  4. try Fairy Nectar too.... I've gotten some of their oils off the classies, and really like them, both in wax and in lotion. Juniper Aloe and Clean sheets (this one was super, super strong in a tart- completely filled the house, from an upstairs bathroom no less!) are really nice too, if you like clean scents. I like their version of L'occitane Honey too- nice and strong in lotion.... I'm going to have to order more of their bakery scents, I have a sweet tooth like you! You'll have to let us know what you decide to order!
  5. can it be used for tarts? or should it be mixed with anything?
  6. Thank you Alan! I've also been checking back frequently- so glad everything is working smoothly again! It's a wonderful forum- thank you for making it possible!
  7. Their Papaya Coconut is awesome in lotion, long lasting- still have to try it in wax... thx for the orange EO rec above too candybee, I love citrus scents, so I'll need to check that one out!
  8. I love reviews too- really helps when I'm choosing fo's on a site. So glad AH added that feature- I wish all the companies did!
  9. I've mixed leather and fr. vanilla, for aroma beads- a wonderful freshener for the car, haven't tried it yet in wax... leather, cherry and vanilla also sounds interesting! so many blend possibilities, so little time!
  10. SGS's Almond Milk and Honey is one of my favorites to put in lotion, really sticks and lasts- it would likely do well in soap I think....
  11. Peak's Birthday Cake is the best- Love it!!
  12. Ok, I only have 2 warmers....,hmmmm, do I need to go shopping?
  13. many of her oils smell different OOB than they do in wax, so just sniffing the bottle isn't a good judge of how it will smell in wax.... and yes, with her fo, using less is much better, took me awhile to get used to that! and yes, you should dare to order... you won't be disappointed! She is so good at giving advice with the order of how what % to use of which oil... (i wish I lived closer- I'm about 5-6 hours away)
  14. I pour testers- 2 portion cups at a time (don't want to waste wax), and use fo at 7.5% which ends up being .2 ounces for 3 ounces of wax. For more concentrated fo's (such as CC's) I use .1 ounce- it's been working for me so far! I've been debating getting a better scale that weighs to the .01 ounce level just to be more accurate, esp with these small batches, which I may still do down the road.... not sure if this helps for clamshells....good luck with your testing!
  15. I also appreciate the recs from AH, and have my list going- I agree, it's hard to narrow down to 20, and of all things I promised myself that ordering from AH would be my reward after getting some deep cleaning/closet organizing done first, so I better get to work fast before the sale ends!
  16. where to you get your Tangerine Peach? (I'm getting into the citrus scents, love a true juicy orange scent but want to find one that sticks and lasts in lotion)
  17. You should give CC a try- complex scents- not all are earthy types (I'm like you, I prefer the bakery, sweeter scents, and really can't stomach the musky/patch scents)- but she has others that are wonderful. I've just had to dig in the try them, if you wants some recs, just let me know! (her Sultry Angel is a wonderful sugar cookie type fo). Also, you have to try SC, MC and Elements...
  18. Your list sounds yummy and wonderful! Your house will smell like a bakery! I've been so good lately, but boy it's hard not to check out new suppliers- Keep us posted on how your testing goes with these.... would love to hear your reviews!
  19. I love my plug in warmers- especially since it doesn't take up counter space somewhere. It holds about 1.5 oz of wax, but I still get good HT from it...
  20. I too love the bakery scents, anything vanilla, also apple pie/strudel scents, starting to like some of the spa/clean scents too... (been experimenting with scents lately, so going out of my comfort zone at times!) Will have to try ICS, one supplier I haven't ordered from yet!
  21. (maybe that's why I liked Joy wax before, I really like donuts!! I do like the bakery scents. I don't recall that smell with that wax, I have a little left over- will check...
  22. I know what you mean!! I'm testing about 5 different tart blends... I want to choose one and go with it.. good luck with palm and soy!
  23. bumping this thread- how has your testing gone with Joy wax? Have you ever used the Pillar of Bliss wax? (I know, someone stop me, but I can't help researching other waxes- looking for a blend for tarts!). I used Joy wax in containers before- I did like the throw, and noticed that it burned slowly, the candle lasted longer than other candles)-
