I just tested the Perfect Pumpkin, forgot it was the WYW, and mixed at 7.5%, and it was very strong, and lasted a long time.... will try at at a lower % to check strength and longevity.. but really loved this scent!

was it Greenleaf? Did you get it off the classies?

It's always fun and inspiring to hear what everyone is plannng to pour/create over the weekend. I got some new fo samples from Aztec, BCN and WSP and will plan to pour some testers this weekend. Also got some M & P soap samples, so plan to play around this that too. (Aztec- Coconut water, Sea Minerals, Honey Cinnamon, Fresh Baked Cookies, Dragonfruit, Maple Glazed Bacon; BCN-Holiday Spice, Crushed Ginger, Mulling Spices, Pumpkin Spice, All Hallows Eve, Cinn and Clove Bud, and Bear Claws; and WSP- Calypso Sun, Dancing Waters, and Home Sweet Home). If I have time, I will make some firestarters, I have so much leftover wax from testing my melts! Trying to decide what fo to use in the soap too... so will likely research here on the forum!

awesome find and idea! It's so fun to get a good deal too! I've only been testing with my plug in 15 watt warmer, and have been wanting to get other warmers to test and compare.

I placed an order last monday evening, and the fedx person handed me the box thursday afternoon- very fast! Thank you BCN! Just had to give them a shout out today... now I have more fo's, wax and soap to play with- yay!!

I'm glad Clarus still sends those out- I got one last year and it was wonderful getting this huge 10 lb slab delivered to my front door! I had emailed Connie, and the impression I had from her response was that she was "taking over" sending out the samples to people, so maybe this has not changed after all. Definitely contact Clarus first to see if Brad will send you a 10 lb sample... doesn't hurt to ask!

(I think you can take away from this thread that the users of 4625 wax may be prone to taking out pent up frustrations through hammer to wax therapy- no passive aggressives in this bunch!)

I'm in the western part of the twin cities, and I agree, suppliers close by are hard to come by. Bitter Creek North is in WI, and they are about 3 1/2 hours away I believe. Sweetcakes is in Edina, but they only have soap supplies and fo's (wonderful ones too) but no wax except for beeswax. Enchanted Lights is in Iowa, but they are closing their doors. Candle Cocoon is also in WI, but about 5-6 hours away. I've had to just get used to ordering on line and paying for shipping. Wish there was a supplier in town- it is surprising given that Mpls/St. Paul is a pretty large metro area too. Good luck with your search and hope you can find a supplier that meets your needs....

I've used the lip balm base from Sweetcakes and I really like it. I haven't tried making my own yet- that may be a future endeaver!

check out MMS also- that's where I got most of my lotion supplies (I make the whipped body frosting that is in the recipe section, it is wonderful)

Sounds like you got some wonderful scents- and are having fun blending scents too! Glad that is working out well for you- I'm still playing with fo's and blending a couple so far. Your blends sound wonderful! Glad they are working well for you!

what did you order? I've tried a few of her oils and really like them.... hope you get them in time to play a little this weekend!

and everyone's home is different too- air flow makes a difference. I gave my MIL several melts last christmas, and also a plug in wax melter like I use at home. I purposely gave her ones that were very strong for me in my home, and last a long time, and only 1 out of the 5 were strong for her in her house. She's always complained of having trouble with getting a nice strong scent in her home, whether from a candle, air freshener, melt, but I think the air flow in her house plays a big factor- she's been blaming the product...

I've just been testing with some wall plug in warmers from Michaels that are 15w-, maybe I should be testing with higher watt melters? I just like these so much because they don't take up space on a counter, and the melts last 2-3 days usually.... (depending on the scent and wax combo)

Vanilla Voodoo from CC- it is a deep scent, not your average vanilla!!

I love their Apricot Freesia and Coconut Milk. Also, check out their sampler, you can buy a certain number of sample sizes and get free shipping, just check their webiste (you can only purchase the fo's or eo's with this offer, you can't include any other products if I understand it correctly). I have only used these 2 in lotions- I'm planning to test some of the fo's I have from them in wax just haven't gotten around to it yet! (so many fo's, so little time!!)

Good! Don't give up, I'm sure you'll find a good combination to work with that gives you a good HT. I love the 2 oz tin size- and will likely go back to testing these later on....
