  1. I've wondered too! I have Mr. Missy's Grapefruit and Maple syrup that I got off the classies, LOVE the grapefruit in melts. The combos mentioned above sound wonderful for cedar too- warm, cozy scents for this time of year...
  2. how wonderful for you! congrats on a successful show!
  3. yes, they are still open- I love their Clean, Amazing Grace, Grapefruit Apricot, Rosemary Mint, Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee.
  4. wonderful display Suzy! congrats on a successful show!
  5. so glad they have picked up this wax and the fo's- I've been wanting to try some of their fragrances, and now I can! I do like the EL wax too and have been testing it in melts- it's hard to hear of a company closing, but so glad another will continue offering their products!
  6. simply beautiful! bet they all smelled wonderful too! I love all the swirls!
  7. so, so pretty! reminds me of spring! (which I need on this snowy day!)
  8. those look wonderful- and I bet they smell divine!
  9. what a beautiful display! congrats and best wishes to you!
  10. very pretty! I do love glitter and sparkly- makes them unique!
  11. I make the whipped body frosting (recipe is here on the forum), and I add Hydrovance, cyclo, and dimethicone- it really is a nice thick creamy lotion that I use year round. Its a very easy recipe. My family and friends love this lotion too. (I don't sell, still just a hobby for me!) I haven't tried any of the bases yet. I've attempted lotion bars- still experimenting though.
  12. I wanted to request a Clarus pillar wax- to make tarts with- any suggestions of which one to use?
  13. I think air ventilation is a huge factor. I gave my MIL several very strong melts last year at Christmas (they were all super strong in our house), and she told me only 1 had a strong scent, the others had little or no scent which surprised me. I purposely gave her ones that were extremely strong, but then I realized their home is older, and the air ventilation would be different than our home. I think it's a factor of where the melter or candle is placed, what room, temp, and air flow. I know others on the forum have indicated this as well. It's always a puzzle to me too!
  14. I love orange scents and have had trouble with them lasting in lotions. I just got the Orange 15x EO from WSP, and so far it is lasting longer then the other ones I have tried. I think Brambleberry has the Orange 10x too. I've tried some citrus scents from SC, and they do tend to be light, I like them a lot, but they don't seem to last long for me in lotion. You'll have to let us know your experience with the litsea cubeba, I haven't heard of that before, it would be wonderful if it would anchor the scent and help it last...
  15. the urea may be hydrovance- I just checked my stock as I need to order more, and it has urea as part of the chemical name. It's very moisterizing like glycerin, and I use it in my lotions. just a thought....
  16. Birthday Cake, Cranberry Citrus, Cranberry Apple Marmalade, Apple Jack and Peel, Downy Fresh, Fresh Linen- they have so many good ones!!
  17. I love Orange EO (WSP), Almond Milk and Honey(SGS), Natural Vanilla Oil (MMS), Warm Apple Pie (P), Toasted Marshmallow (AH), and Raspberry Macaroon (CS). These are the ones I keep going back to...
  18. Do you use the 4786 with melts alone, or do you mix with anything? (why oh why do I keep looking for other wax combinations?
  19. Just beautiful! so creative- always love seeing your products!!
  20. I went to 2 craft fairs today (for research lol) and Scentsy was at both, selling one clamshell pack for $5, 3 for $14, and 6 for $25. I bought one from them since I haven't tried them, and from another vendor that was selling soy candles and tart (her clamshells were 3 for $5). I'll test them this weekend to see how they compare to the ones I'm making...
  21. I'll let you know- Aztec is a new supplier for me, haven't tried any of their fo's yet, so looking forward to seeing how they do. I've been testing different wax combinations, and I think I have it down to a couple that I like so far, just experimenting with some things. I've just had to get over a cold- very frustrating trying to test when your nose is all stuffed up (the NG's sinus relief helped though, I'd have to say!). Have you ordered anything from Sweetcakes or Elements yet? I've been happy with the fo's I've gotten from them. I still haven't tried anything from Indiana Candle Supply or Candlewic- those are on my list ( have to spread out the spending- had to get a new roof and carpet!-had sticker shock with those 2 expenditures!).
