    Portion cups

I also use the ones from Walmart- have not had any problems so far- they have retained the scent well.
  2. They are awesome! I ordered my first set of supplies (candle making kit) from them- and of course now I'm hooked! Always top notch customer services, and orders arrive so fast. I have not tried the fudge brownie fo yet, so off to start a wish list now....
  3. I've been testing with plug in/nightlight style warmers that have a 15 watt bulb, and I'm getting some fo's lasting several days with this type of warmer. It only holds about 1.5 oz of wax, but I do like the longevity I'm getting with some of the fragrances. That's interesting that the hotter warmers aren't lasting as long- there are so many factors to consider, aren't there?
  4. Oh JAJC- that is hard! but there are many that smell different after they are in wax, so it's still good to try them. One that I really didn't like OOB and even when I poured was Van Bean Nectarine (Peak), but I really liked it when I was burning it- I smelled different layers then. Pour some of our tried and true ones to keep your spirits up!! Congrats Dolphin on your first Etsy sale!! Thats wonderful!
  5. I understand- we are kind of the frozen tundra up here! I grew up in Nebr, so even though I'm in gopher and Viking country, my sports alliance will always be with the Huskers!
  6. I'm up in MN- the great white north! unfortunately not too close to Tennessee. My son's tennis team from UNL (Nebr) is playing at East Tenn State today- so I'm there in spirit! May try to mix up to lotions this weekend along with melts (I'm running low on wax, so need to put an order in soon...) Enjoy the weekend everyone!
  7. How wonderful OldGlory and Chandlerwicks that you two could arrange to meet! I would love that also- just to have a fellow candle/fo person to bounce ideas off of and brainstorm. Would love it if one of the wax companies had a conference that we could attend- it would be a good way to meet other people in this field. I ordered some fo's recently (surprise, surprise!) and will try to get some testers poured this weekend. Also have to try to organize some family photos that I've been putting off for years! Have a great weekend everyone!!
  8. Beautiful jewelry!! I've been tempted to take a class on jewelry making, but if it's as addicting as fo's- better stick to one addiction at a time!! Thanks so much for sharing!
  9. They sound wonderful- yummy flavors! Love the oval tubes also- look forward to seeing them after you put on the labels!
  10. Oh no!! a supplier I've missed? starting wish list now.... ah, thanks for the enabling, i think!!

    Fig

Their Cinnamon Apple Peach and Christmas Spice are wonderful in wax. I'm just starting testing them in wax.... I like the Amazing Grace in lotion. The Almonds and Honey are very strong, almost too strong, in lotion, haven't tried in wax yet...
  12. Will get the Trinidads out of the freezer- good advice! I'll find another hiding spot.... hmmmmm, this may take awhile.... maybe with my wax supplies? (not the fo's of course!)
  13. with all the testing you've done- you deserve it! (for me it would be Fanny May Trinidads or Godiva, got a stash in the freezer, shhh, no one else in the family knows..)
  14. I'm placing an order with CC, so will have to check out the paraffin and vybar- hope your son's feeling better, and thanks for keeping us posted on the testing! It's fun to see what is working for others and is getting them excited about their projects! enjoy the snow- we're in MN, so we're used to it!
  15. Glad I haven't placed my orders yet this weekend, will maybe have to add in some vybar to the mix... you gals are too much, and so good at giving inspiration (and enabling too)- thank you!
  16. They look great! Thanks for sharing- great colors- bet they were fun to make (wish we could smell the vanilla over the internet!
  17. thanks for the reminder- yes, I did email Lyschel. I am enjoying the break (in between reports and calls, I am getting work done too, really I am!!)l I'm way too prone to being enabled- luckily I don't have any other vices (except chocolate!). JAJC- thanks for the recs too!

    Fig

Have you tried MW Sweet Fig? It is very sweet in wax. I can send you a sniffee if you want to try it out...
  19. I'm ordering a few fo's from Genwax because I just have to try their Juicy Bits of Orange, so will order a few others to make it worth the shipping. I'll let you all know how I like them after I get them in wax. The only supplier I can pick up from is Sweetcakes, still pay MN tax, but no shipping, a couple of others are 3-4 hours away, a little harder to justify the drive....
  20. Seriously???? Oh my! How fun! Now that made my day.... and yes, I'm getting back to work now (just needed a mental health break)...
  21. JAJC- what are your favorites from AH? will be putting in an order this weekend I think..... I'm definitely getting the Toasted Marshmallow... put open to other great suggestions too!
  22. Hope your son feels better soon- sounds like a rough morning so far. Good luck on your blend and projects this weekend- hope it all goes well! Just helping at my son's confirmation retreat, and will try to pour some tester wax melts, maybe order a few more oils (as if I really need more at this point, but I can't seem to help myself! will likely order from genwax, AH and maybe SC, as I got a $25 gift cert from there for xmas from my SIL) Have a wonderful weekend- enjoy the snow- we had the cold this morning (-13 this morning- Brrrrr!)
  23. It's wonderful in lotion- especially cocoa butter lotion, really lasts. I'm going to put in in wax this weekend. I think you'll like it in wax. I've found I haven't tried many of the AH oils in wax yet, I've just tried them in lotion and aroma beads- so now I'll have to add to my tester tray of oils for the weekend!
  24. Ha-Chanderwicks- no not a pilot, you have me chuckling though- just able to work from work when not on the road for appts. I LOVE WVN- esp in lotion!! That one I do have, and I've used Flannel sheets and Blue Skies in aroma beads for air and car fresheners (I have athletes in the family, so I try anything to avoid having my car smell like a locker room!! But you all gave me some other wonderful ideas, I've wanted to try AH's Almond Cream....yup here I go, starting a shopping cart now...
