  1. They are all beautiful and I don't think the moth failed at all, looks great!
  2. I think the first two pics look like butterflies and the 3rd pic looks like Angel wings! Very pretty regardless and great colors!
  3. Great work and super cute packaging! Wish I had 10% of your ambition to try new things.
  4. Wow, and I thought the Rose soap was beautiful, this one is even prettier. I don't see a bit of RUST on it!
  5. Welcome, Welcome! Yes this forum is a wealth of information for candles and B&B. While we use different waxes, wicks, suppliers for our favorite fo's and tweak recipes, we all have the same passion for what we do. It's usually my ZEN time when I go downstairs into my candle room and play. I love doing it. You will have great days and bad days but if you enjoy it you won't give up! Happy to have you aboard.
  6. Working on a chalk painted round shelf and making melts. Started it all yesterday and spilled wax so many times I almost quit...but I stuck it out! Hopefully today I'm not so dropsy.
  7. Those dang tins just get cold too quickly! I've even had to put them in a warm oven to cool as the oven cools, think that's why I quit tins.
  8. Something told me not to click on this post...now I'm going to have to try some of her fos, I was looking for something different for Spring & Summer and some of these sound great! Hopefully shipping doesn't kill me to the West Coast..prices on fo were not bad.
  9. I gotta admit I never thought about the wick traveling in that small container I just use sticky tabs to make things go more quickly for me. I don't have the patience to keep checking the wicks as the wax sets up to see if centered, especially if you're pouring 100+ at a time.
  10. They are still Genwax, I stop at the outlet store when I travel South. It's not really an "outlet" same prices as on the internet but sometimes have a clearance area. They developed a separate website for candlemaking supplies vs their ready made products. The outlet store has both for sale.
  11. I have one that has some type of plastic or resin beads in it and you can microwave for up to 3 mins or freeze it for an hour. I only use it hot.
  12. They match my guest room! Beautiful! You've been a very busy lady.
  13. Ditto, it's sad that we have to WAIT and TEST, but honestly worth it. I even went through the whole testing process again when I stopped making candles for a year...and I had all my notes, formulas and 9 years of doing this behind me. I wanted to be sure they were safe for others to use. Your son will be thrilled when he gets to be your hot throw tester for new fragrances!
  14. Found it in their contact info: Scentsations was the name, guess still their name as it's on their site.
  15. Maybe I'm mixing them up but it seems they did business under a different name before..thought I saw it here but can't find post.
  16. Can't help with the Chai Tea. Bamboo & Sugarcane is kind of "zen", have a Rooibos tea that I like to burn when relaxing in a tub...my Zen time! GW used to carry a fo called Black Tea that I labeled Zen because it was perfect..not sweet at all...they discontinued it...of course.
  17. I use C3 as well and do everything you're doing except I don't use the cooling oven and I use a different wick due to my jars. Eco wicks always worked well for me in the mason jars. Good luck, I hope you hit a home run!
  18. Thought it was beautiful whole, but if possible it's even more so cut! All great works of art.
  19. I think you have a very valid point here...shipping is killer on wax and jars, plus soy wax has tripled or more since 2007. I make far fewer candles and way more melts these days. I do still carry a very modest line of candles and I can pick up my wax and jars at GW. Candybee, thanks for sharing your experience. Kudos to all that stuck it out and tried whatever we could to make it work! My dad always said to do what you love and it really isn't work anyway.
  20. I sell what I consider spring scents all year as well. My best sellers are: Sweet Pea True Lavender French Market Watermelon (which gags me!) Bamboo & Sugarcane Lebermuth's fos are expensive, but they are soooo worth it IMO. Absolutely love the Bay Rum in soap for men and the Patchouli is one I can tollerate way more than other suppliers.
