  1. Print Shop Labels & Logos does not have the oval labels either.
  2. I've only had good luck once with custom labels in Print Shop and the size was rectangular. These oval labels are a pain in print shop and they don't have the # already set up. I just downloaded the newest Free Avery Design & Print software and the oval labels are of course in there. The new version lets you set the tint or radiance so the background picture is muted behind the words like I want on my candles. I like this software, but will only use for these new oval labels as the rest are already set up in Print shop.
  3. I love it! Must be tough to steer away from a tried and true recipe for soap. I do like the idea of all natural.
  4. I use C3 and usually wait a week at most. Haven't used many from Aztec but I do find with C3 the cotton wicks or the htp wicks seem to give me the best meltpool and throw. There are so many variables it's crazy, or maybe it's going to drive us crazy??
  5. Haven't noticed it from 1 oz to big bottle, but have noticed batch to batch..have even had customers comment on it. I've thought about posting a sign that says my supplier may change their formula or their supplier without notifying me...but afraid I'll lose my repeat customers!
  6. Thanks for the suggestions, I will give it a try at some point. I went with Nvey eco Cosmetics as they were not as expensive as most, I'll have to let my doctor look at the ingredients to see what she thinks. They are supposedly all natural chem free??
  7. It's so nice to get a break from whatever you do on a daily basis. Glad to hear you got to enjoy time in the garden, it has a way of healing the soul.
  8. Preferrably liquid or cream. For some reason my skin and mineral makeups just do not do well together. I have tried many brands including a few all natural.
  9. I've been on a chemical free quest, as I use up products they are being replaced with chem free. I need a good foundation that is not mineral foundation. I currently use Tarte if that is any help at all. Basically looking for someone who makes and sells a whole line of chem free products, not mineral. TIA!
  10. You can also use a small % mixed with other salts in scrubs
  11. True Lavender from The Candle Source is also great
  12. Oh yeah it's worse with soy, they see that the wax looks soft so they have to stick fingers in it.
  13. I guess it's just human nature...bad as it is! I have the same problem in my store. They open everything they possibly can and can't resist touching. I find more wax bits on the carpet than in my workshop, mostly from melts that I used to overfill. I've stopped overfilling so now they get less. I've tried having samples out & signs, they still have that curiosity. I open if no sample, but never touch. I guess that's because I know what goes into making them nice and smooth on top. I gave up trying. Maybe a sign that shows that hatchet and fingers Top mentioned with a warning?

    Pink Sugar Jar

They look great, you haven't lost it!! On a side note, where did you get those wick holders?
  15. Sometimes ice works well, depends on surface. Just ice it for a few minutes and then it should scrape right off with a butter or putty knife. What has happened to me is the palm wax will come right up on my floor but the dang dye stains the floor.
  16. Sucks for sure. Yes, being alerted would be nice so at least you're not surprised but it really doesn't help the problem of consistency. When I had my web store, I had so many small supplier go out of business that I put a note above each category that said fragrance oils are not always consistent from batch to batch. Not sure it really helped, but at least I was warning them about changes. I've really never had a batch problem with oils changing, just suppliers closing and using replacements. I lost a few really good customers when one supplier closed, I never could find good replacements.
  17. I have an older version Print Shop 22 and I just bought some oval labels Avery 6583 which are not supported in this version. Does anyone use the new Print shop 3.5 and know how it compares to 22? I remember buying 23 and it didn't convert my labels correctly so I sold it. Hopeful newer versions may have resolved those issues??
  18. Can't remember my 415 testing but I use C3 soy and add Universal soy additive, seems to make C3 wax behave a little better. Soy has some issues but if you want to dive in I wouldn't try a bunch of stuff...most of it doesn't help and just adds cost and testing time. Maybe someone that uses 415 will answer for you.
  19. If you are going to spend the $ why not get a color laser printer? You can do much more than just labels on it. For the candle business I also make my inserts for warmers/melts, my business cards and signs for my displays. I bought the HP CP1525nw color, and have used it for 3 years now. About once a year I have to replace the black cartridge and the color lasts me 15-18 months. It all depends on your volume, but I found it to be my least expensive way to go.
  20. Thanks for the reply, I honestly don't remember if it was white, but the light yellow would make sense why the bag turned yellow. I'll try it in some melts and see what happens, worse case scenario I'll have a few melts to burn myself!
  21. That is a really happy soap! Looks great, like the confetti idea
  22. It's just plain sad how many times the FDA has been down on both YL and doTerra for telling people it's ok to injest their eo's. I sell eo's in my store and I also sell small bottles of FCO and if people don't want to buy it, I give them the carrier oil free. I use eo's straight on my skin but I'm very careful which ones I use, how much and how often. I have noticed that most eo's work better when in a carrier oil. Just healed a bad burn with lavender in FCO.
  23. Does anyone know if this goes bad? I'm cleaning out and throwing out and came across a bag of this and I'd like to use it but the whole plastic bag has turned a yellowish color so afraid it might be bad.
  24. Finally got a couple of the ones I ordered into wax! I use C3 Cairns Sunset is very nice, on the lighter side, but I need to have those scents as well as strong. I smell citrus along with light floral. Driftwood, oob I was extremely disappointed (my thought was cheap men's cologne) but when I got it into wax it transformed into a woodsy fire type scent and I love it. Hope it smells good in a burning candle, so far just melts made.
