  1. Not sure how I missed this thread, but hopefully it will keep going. C3 wax 6% fo Almost always sell light bulb warmers too many complaints about hot plate ones. Occasionally sell tea light warmers but have found that the small ones like the coffee cup tend to make the soy wax smell burnt as the wick is too close to the bowl..very hard to get these customers to trim a tea light wick! I burn the light bulb warmers in my stores and typically 8-9 hours a day, stores are almost 9000 sq ft each so I tend to use stronger fragrances and the scent will last from 3-7 days. When I was using the hot plate warmers I did notice that the scent burned off quicker.
  2. Depending on the flashpoint could be more of a fire hazard, also ditto on the above and it will lose it's scent more quickly. The carrier oil especially will help with that. In an air diffuser I use it straight on the pad.
  3. I could have sworn I had that fo, still hunting because I did stash some away that I'm not using. All I can find now is candle source's caramel coffee, which is what I use now and it's light in color.
  4. The Candle Source has a really nice True Lavender. This board recommended it to me and I'm very happy with it.
  5. If you love oil from them buy it. Supplier close every year, it's really a bummer for us but with this boards tremendous help we are almost always able to replace a fo from a closed supplier (unless it's their own special blend). I've gotten to the point where I tell my customers that a fragrance I can no longer get was a short term promotional scent and is no longer available. Try not to beat up the little guys that are trying to make a go of it. No, I don't sell supplies, but I am a small business owner who knows just how hard it is.
  6. I know this doesn't really help immensely but this is what I've experienced. I've seen some children that cannot even touch a nut or nut shell because they are that allergic. I've been asked the same question (I use only soy) so I researched. I couldn't find any articles on it, even all the testing research. My brother, however, cannot be in the room with a soy candle, even unscented or he gets an allergic reaction. I am highly allergic to ingesting soy but can play with it all day and burn it all day. So all I say now is that I wouldn't take a chance if anyone around is allergic to soy, but soy really isn't a nut.
  7. Soap is beautiful. That is a very cool container, never saw a glass zip lock bag before.
  8. So very pretty! As for the crystal dish with the hole in lid...I've been told several things. If it's really old, probably for hair that was taken from the brush or comb used and kept on dresser or vanity table. I've also been told it's for holding chopsticks as it's not proper to ever set your chopsticks on a table. I work in the antique industry so I get comments on almost everything different.
  9. WOWZA! Beautiful work on all of it. Love all the fall colors.
  10. I used 20# of my newest case from Gen Wax over the last few days and even though the flakes were bigger (not the huge ones I got once), the wax is performing great!
  11. So pretty, your family will love them!
  12. I'm pretty sure that one of the requirements of this board is to be a fo ho.
  13. What is realy big? more than 2 cases of 875?
  14. Never had the fo scent disappear in Impact clams and I've used them for years. Just found some melts at my mom's house that I made over 5 years ago and they still had the scent, actually very surprised they did. I typically will take any melts that have been on the shelf for a year or start to discolor from the fluorescent lights and discount them to clear but always check the scent and it's always good.
  15. Hmmm, I noticed a change when they company changed hands but not since...I have a new 50# case sitting waiting to be opened and sure hope I'm not surprised!
  16. Thanks for the laugh, needed it today! Think we've all been there at one time or another.
  17. Just leave the box open, if you have the room take them out and leave in stacks. The smell should disappear in a day or so. I think they get that smell when they are boxed too soon after production, I've had it happen with every company. My guess is that Fillmore is unboxing and selling in smaller quantities and that's why you don't smell it by the time you get them. I have heard some say the smell comes back if you pour too hot, but I've never had that happen and I've poured everywhere from 110-140 with soy wax. Once I poured hotter and got 2 leaks so never did that again!
  18. Levine gifts is a wholesale site. I also buy from Colonial Tin Works, love the mason jar warmers..but only on sale.
  19. If it's soy container wax, 73 may be a bit warm to be making them especially if there is a heat vent directly below the table you are using.
  20. We are always way to critical of our own work...they are all beautiful Vicky!!
  21. I've almost always used Impact's clamshells and they are great. Problem is buying 2 cases at once, however they will ship to 2 sep locations. I bought another mfg and don't remember who but the clamshells were very hard to take apart and that drove me nuts. I'd love to find someone who has Impact's quality with a 1 case option.
