  1. Yes, definitely the first one. And I agree on the wholesale workshop!! Count me in!
  2. Is that what it’s called: keystone? I don’t recall if I’ve heard that before but that’s pretty much how I crunch my numbers. Im in the same boat as you with those same feelings. But I’ve had several people tell me recently that they wished my melts didn’t last so long because they’d like to buy more but they don’t need to yet. Sooo, that makes me feel better about my pricing.
  3. Fold a piece of white printer paper and drop a few drops of dyed wax onto it. That way you don’t have to pour into a jar just to find out you want another drop or two.
  4. Thats what I mean by what is their baseline. Seems they are giving you a formula for weight but you’re not going to be weighing the dye. You measure by drops. (You could measure by weight, but I’m sure the vast majority of people do not.) Youre going to have to test anyway. So, if it were me I wouldn’t bother emailing them. Just compute your own system.
  5. I prefer the drops per pound method of calculation. Although I use percentages to figure out how many drops to use when making larger or smaller batches. But, that is on a drops per pound baseline. What is their baseline?
  6. I have only used liquid dyes from Lonestar. They work great for me. No bad smell.
  7. I don’t know if it’s the same, but Fragrance Buddy has a Beach Daisies that is really nice!
  8. Okay, just making sure I’m on the same page with everyone.
  9. Was hoping I could get away with the garage. I bough shelving for my pantry that allows me to fit quite a bit in there, but I have no other space to add more.
  10. I took her post to mean not blending different types of wax and not differentiating between straight wax versus pre blended.
  11. I’m still in the testing phase of my candle line, but thinking ahead. Where am I going to store them? I have a closet dedicated to wax melts and oils. I really don’t have any more space in my house for candle storage. My two options are the garage and a storage shed. The garage would be preferable due to proximity to workspace, but it is not climate controlled. Is that necessary? If I need climate controlled, I would have to use a window ac/heater for the storage shed. It is already equipped for that. Not really what I want to do because of the electric costs and the fact I would have to dolly everything back and forth from the house. What are your thought? Where do you store your finished product?
  12. Very nice! Would love to see a pic of the finished product.
  13. I also get mine from online labels.
  14. By the time I pay for shipping, I may as well just stock up on yogurt! “What’s for dinner....please don’t say yogurt again!!”
  15. I read on here a while back about people making candles in those but they didn’t sell the yogurt around here. Saw them in the grocery store last week and bought some just because of this board. The yogurt tasted great btw, so thank you!!!!
  16. Religion aside, some people are offended by the name and others find it funny. I would either play play it safe and rename it or present it as a choice for them: Monkey Farts or _______. Banana Split Banana Shake Banana Daiquiri
  17. I turn the molds upside down on sheet pans and heat them in the oven. The wax melts and drips onto the pan. Then I pull them out one by one and wipe with paper towels. Then wipe the sheet pans. Never had an issue with transfer. I do separate my molds into white/cream melts and colored melts so I don’t have to worry about color transfer on the light ones.
  18. I don’t work with your wax, but from reading posts about soy it seems the best thing to do is order a pallet- all from the same lot. That way you limit the amount of testing you need to do from order to order.
  19. I would think if you’re not collecting and paying sales tax for that state you wouldn’t have to do anything.
  20. Weeelllll, I’m going to put this order on hold. While the green cactus I was holding out for is back in stock, now three others I wanted to try are sold out! I want to make the most of the flat rate shipping. And I just ordered samples from CS so I have some new oils to play with next week anyway!
  21. @Marleigha thanks for that. I hope they still have it going and have the scents I want in stock when I get home from work tonight! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻!!!
  22. I agree with the gift idea of a pretty jar/vessel she could reuse over and over again. And an engraved wick trimmer. That would be a nice gift set.
