  1. Have you tried the beads from Lonestar yet? Was going to dabble in the air fresheners again and would love to order from them as I already get a ton of product there. How do they compare to the one from Plastic Pellets?
  2. Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t start with that jar. I did the same thing with starting out and tried to work with a tureen jar which is not one for a novice.
  3. Thank you everyone for your input. I feared, rather knew, that climate controlled was the way to go. I’m sure I will figure it out as I’ve done everything else: along the way!
  4. Not an early bird, actually just getting home from work. Ok, I couldn’t quite tell from the picture. But that font looks great to me. Love the barbed wire!
  5. I love it!! Did you use that western font that you posted in the other thread? It’s been a long day and I can’t tell.
  6. When thinking of the name it makes me think of lighter, airier fragrances. I, too, thought of storm watch. Or either some sort of mountain lake or cactus fragrance.
  7. Beach/aquatic scents are my favorite behind spa. My absolute favorite and a great seller is Sea Petals by Lonestar. I changed the name to something more beachy. I also use use the Sun & Sea knockoff by Lonestar. But, you can get that one anywhere. I bought a sample of it from FB. Haven’t put it in wax but it smells identical to LS’s. The Storm Watch knockoff would be another option. I love that scent. Caribbean Teakwood from CS could work for a beach scent. I call mine Beach Bonfire.
  8. 100 candles!! How exciting Trappeur!!! Congratulations. 🤩
  9. Thank you for your suggestions. I will add them to my “need to try” list. I am ordering oils for the summer and was hoping to find something from a company I already use.
  10. Yes, I think it would be hard for some to read. And I like it but not with that design. While it has a western/southwest look, it is also kind of artsy. I can see that font going on a brown kraft label perfectly. With some cowboys with pistols in hand! Something like this...
  11. I like the first the best but I do like the third. I originally had a close to cursive font, but found so many people struggled reading it that I went to something straighter like your first one. If you’re going to do cursive or anything “artistic” I would recommend doing it in bold and as big as you can. Shoot, some people have a hard time reading my banner that has cursive writing. And it’s really big!
  12. I tried the feather palm in glass jars and it worked. Pulled away slightly, but the jar had a lip so there was no fear of it coming out. And the pull away was so slight I couldn’t really notice. Very little rattle.
  13. I actually use the coconut bamboo too! I really love it but agree, it is a lighter scent.
  14. I want to switch to a different Bamboo type fragrance. Currently I’m using Verbena Bamboo from Lonestar but it is not selling well. I was not a fan of Himalayan Bamboo from Candle Science. Looking for a clean, spa type of scent. Preferably a medium to strong scent as a have quite a few spa scents on the lighter side. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
  15. Definitely number 1. That’s looks awesome!! Great job.
  16. That really sucks. The only other way around that, besides not saying sure next time, is to add a custom order button on your website and have them pay for it when they order. That way you have your money before you even make it.
  17. What they need to do is institute another shipping alternative for small orders. So the customer doesn’t have to choose between buying one lid for a shipping cost of $20 or go somewhere else. @Trappeur went somewhere else when she wanted to buy from Fillmore. If they had an alternative they could have made the sale. They may not care about small orders, but they could be losing the big orders by not fulfilling the small.
  18. I do an average cost per ounce including shipping. All of my oils range from $15-24 per pound. Now I just sampled an oil that is $31 per pound and contemplated that very pricing question. I’m still testing it, so I’m not sure if I will carry it or not. If it’s a few fragrances that are really pricey, I would use the average CPO and take the loss on those because it will even out with your lowest cost oils. However, if you have a lot that are $30+ I would either price the product at that price point or go a little over your average cpo.
  19. Ooh, @TallTayl that would make me so mad. I wouldn’t give them my business either.
  20. Is that a banana in your pocket, or are you just happy to smell me?!
  21. Welcome! Just wanted to say how much I love your name. Going to be saying it all day! 😁. Babanangoo!! Don’t tell me how to pronounce it bc I like the way I say it too much if I’m wrong! 😂😂
  22. Hi and welcome. Yes, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here and it is great how much information they are willing to share!
  23. I use(d) the ones from candle clamshells and they are pvc. My my only issue comes with age. Somewhere around the year mark they start smelling of plastic and a few fragrances it looks like are eating away at the plastic. Up to to that point, they are great!
