  1. This board is so dangerous! I already had a long shopping list from the Fall Fragrance thread, mostly Fillmore but some MMS too!
  2. You....must....buy....this....[need a zombie emoticon here, lol] Honestly, this stuff is amazing, I've been putting up with tunneling and drowning wicks with the Slatkin candles only because I love the scent so much. Now I need to dig out the tiny bit of Bert's Christmas Tree I have left (which I've cleverly hidden from myself in my basement) and compare it to that! And Old Glory, I have never smelled the Thymes candle, maybe someone else has, sorry!
  3. Ok, after however many years of hearing about this oil on this board I finally ordered it! It arrived today and I've got to tell you that I am in heaven!! OOB it smells very much like the Slatkin Fresh Balsam candles I've been driven to purchase in bulk because I love the scent so much and haven't been able to find a fo enough like it to make my own. Doing the Snoopy happy dance here.......
  4. Ha! I'm in the process of going through all of my unused 1 oz samples from at least a half dozen (probably more) companies, consolidating the same types, e.g. several Cinnamons from different vendors, I'm hoping it will inspire me to make something out of them! FoHo hoarder here!
  5. I really, really like AL from BCN. It makes me think of rain on leaves that have fallen to the ground. I have samples of AL that I got from CW but I haven't put them in wax yet, oob it doesn't really seem similar to the BnL version, it seems more fruity, warm, less green if that makes sense. I don't know which is closest to the Y**kee version. I hths!
  6. I'm not saying it was me, but it might have been. I remember making testers of both, this was back when I'd first started making candles and I hadn't nailed the calcs yet on wax amounts per container, I had poured an 8 oz mason jar with one of those scents but had enough left over to half fill another mason jar. Did the same thing with the other scent, so I just poured the excess into the same half full jar that I'd already wicked and it created 2 layers. When I burned the candle it seemed as though it smelled the best as one layer of scent mixed with the other in the middle!.
  7. Definitely ICS's Sugared Spruce!
  8. What company's Pumpkin Chai do you use? I love Chai tea scents, having a pumpkin chai sounds perfect!
  9. I like the NG Twigs & Berries, it has a great hot & cold throw but it seemed like it took its own sweet time to cure & develop. I thought it was going to be a loser at first.
  10. *tiptoes in* Pssssttt! It's happening right now!
  11. This company doesn't get mentioned very often on the boards, but they used to have a kick butt Creme Brulee! Starrville Soap & Candle Supply http://www.tylerstarrville.com/
  12. Day Star's Milk Sugar Kisses is a good one and Lait Sucre from SW is good as well.
  13. Pumpkin Honey Chai? Tried searching for pumpkin chai but the results are mostly either/or....TIA!
  14. Peak had a Black Friday special that expired yesterday , I haven't had an email from CandleScience with any recent sales. Sorry!
  15. I should add mine, just to skew your results! The ones I favor have the most oils that I personally like and that work for me at this point in time, although I probably buy as much if not more from other suppliers, I just haven't found anyone else whose oils work in my wax blend, more testing is definitely needed since I'm a devout foho. 1. Candlewic 2. BCN (in spite of service problems with both BitterCreeks) 3. Tyler Starrville 3. MillCreek (tie)
  16. I second the vanilla grapefruit. Not sure why they list it both ways, I even emailed them one time to see if there was any difference and was told it was the same thing.
  17. I have, it has a light throw in a parasoy blend I use, but it smells just like the dupe it's supposed to be. I've got the Lait Sucre & Sugar Milk in que ready to try, I'm hoping one of those will throw better for me.
  18. I think it's Backwoods that has a Buttery Croissant fo, I've blended that with Blackberry before!
  19. ICS has a sugar milk, Scent Works has Lait Sucre and Daystar has Milk Sugar Kisses. Think sweetened condensed milk. Imo it might be a hard one to get right if you try to blend your own, the milk note needs to be realistic.
  20. I can only give you an oob review of the LW Apple Crisp and the KY Cherry Chip Cake as I only recently purchased them. The Apple Crisp is more apple than crisp, also seems light oob, especially compared to the Tradewinds Apple Crisp that I also bought recently. The Tradewinds Apple Crisp oob reminds me of Bert's Apple Cinnamon Cider, looking forward to trying it asap. The Cherry Chip Cake is very, very very much cherry! I didn't detect any cake oob, may have to add some more cake fo or a nice vanilla to tone it down, it was strong too! I hths, happy shopping!
  21. Awesome! I've been looking for a great Chai Tea scent for candles! This goes on my list to try with my next order, thanks!
  22. Doesn't Peak have a Passionfruit & Guava? I haven't smelled it though, maybe someone else here has.
  23. It's great in candles too! Subtle but strong!
  24. Well, given that warm milk is supposed to help you sleep I've used milky scents in the past. Demeter used to have a Condensed Milk spray, and another perfume company used to have one called Lait Sucre. I LOVED to spray my pillow with one of these when I went to bed. Then I found a Dulce de Leche candle at a company called Illuminations, but it was really a Lait Sucre scent. Since I've been making candles for myself I've tryed Lait Sucre from Scent Works, Milk Sugar Kisses from DayStar & Sugared Milk from ICS. Milk scents aren't for everyone though, it seems you either love them or you hate them! Another one that came to mind is Coco Beach Baby from Elements, that's one soft & yummy scent, not beachy at all!
