  1. Millcreek has an awesome Hillbilly Homebrew!
  2. Replying b/c I found a 1 oz. sample of this in my FO stash, if you want it to send to someone to have it duped?
  3. Well, I did some googling, and it turns out that Patchouli & Sandalwood are supposed to have aromatherapy properties. I always think of herbals and other "clean" scents as belonging in a spa, my rule of thumb is if I can drink it in a cup of tea then it's good! One of my favorites in a candle is lemongrass & sage and anything with green or white tea notes. Here's a website with some good information: http://www.wellcat.com/Aromatherapy%20Notes.htm
  4. I'd personally prefer Cucumber Melon. To me watermelon fragrances can be too cloying sometimes. The Cucumber Melon from BCN (BnL) is to die for! http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?102230-Cucumber-Melon
  5. Ditto this. Incredible hot & cold throw in a parasoy blend. And this is just my opinion, but of the scents you listed I would only consider the Acai Berry & Aloe Vera & Cucumber to be "spa or wellness" type scents. The others seem potentially too strong to be soothing in an aromatherapy way. Maybe the sandalwoods would be, I've read that cedarwood is good for aromatherapy, but I'm not familiar with the ones you listed. I'm sure Scented would disagree with me about the patchoulis though!
  6. Somebody stop me, this is exactly what I do! And after I smell the 4 or 8 or 14 different scents oob, I put my favorite into wax (yeah, I know!) and then the rest just sit around. I've spent the last month sorting through them trying to decide if I really want to try this or that scent, or do I want to just pass it along! I'm running out of basement space!
  7. Rhonda at Moonworks offered to dupe Bert's Apple Cinnamon for me, I should probably follow through with that, yah think?
  8. Oh, and I LOVE the BnL's Warm Apple Pie. It's one of my top three cinnamon apple fo's, along with Bert's Apple Cinnamon & Tyler Starrville's Cinnamon Apple Butter. I do have some other BCN scents that I can't do without though, so I'd probably stick with the BnL Warm Apple Pie unless the TCS is waaaay better!
  9. Oh! It was late and I thought you meant Tennessee Candle Supplies, I've seen that same abbreviation used for them on this board.
  10. I've been looking for a replacement for Bert's Apple Cinnamon as well. I still have a little bit left so all I've done so far is accumulate samples. I will tell you though, I got two 1 oz. samples from Tn (before they quit selling their samples), and it was either their Apple Cinnamon or their Cinnamon Cider that I thought was real close, oob anyway. I haven't actually tried them in wax yet. I would personally recommend starting with one of those two FO's rather than the Apple Butter. Just my opinion, maybe some of the other ladies have had actual experience with those scents! I hths!
  11. Here's a few blackberries you can check out! http://www.fragranceoilfinder.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=blackberry&osCsid=7130c4771d3ba766ca931f2c435ecda6
  12. Redwood and Cedar: The fresh smell of cedar and redwood together makes this scent a favorite of everyone - Best seller! Old fashion Sugar Cookies: Rich vanilla sugar cookies with a touch of brown sugar baked in. Note: I have had customers who get a great hot throw with soy and others not, so either its the soy or the wicking that is the problem. Vanilla Latte: This one will leave you wanting the real thing! Rich, creamy, and heavy on the vanilla. Wedding Cake: Delicious moist white cake with butter cream frosting. Note: I have had customers who get a great hot throw with soy and others not, so either its the soy or the wicking that is the problem.
  13. What I've done to make myself feel better when I buy from them is to only purchase a single item at a time. Then they HAVE to spend that extra $$ on shipping my ONE item. I'm so bad.....
  14. Hi there! I had a feeling something like this would come up when Heaven Scent went oob. I copied all of Bert's FO descriptions before the website closed down. I will post the descriptions for the oils you have tomorrow, and if there are any more you want just list them. If anyone wants a copy of all of them you can notify me with an email address, I can send you the Word document I created. I hths!
  15. Ha! Here's the kicker, I've never tried any of their oils, I just had signed up for their mailing list right before Christmas. I've read about their FO's on this board and was planning on trying some out after the holidays were over.
  16. Received an email from them today and it appears that they will be discontinuing their FO's. http://tradewindsfragrance.net/
  17. Oh, sorry, that would help to know the substrate, wouldn't it? I'm making candles, although I like the burgundy idea!
  18. I have a lot of reds/browns already, any suggestions for other colors? Tia!
  19. YES! This is exactly what I smell! Once my brain decided my nose was smelling bubblegum I couldn't handle the sweetness anymore! I was bummed b/c I really wanted to like this one!
  20. How about a Warm Apple Pie? BCN Warm Apple Pie (a BnL formulation) is kick butt!
  21. BnL's Vanilla Sandalwood (or is it Sandalwood Vanilla?), found at BCN.
  22. I quadruple the raves for BnL Cuc Melon. I can't believe how incredible it smells!
  23. Sorry, I suppose it's not the same is it? What I meant is a plain white cake type cupcake (I'm assuming this would include the frosting note), like the ones they have in the grocery store. I guess I just call them vanilla cupcakes b/c they are white, as opposed to the brown chocolate ones. :embarasse Does that help? So do you use the JS VBC straight or do you mix it with a cake fo? And thanks for answering!
