  1. Yeah, mine usually thinks he's hilarious! It's a fo, here's their website: http://www.TYLERSTARRVILLE.COM Another one you have to try is their Crème brûlée, imho they have the best!
  2. The Fragrance Twins thread has this reported dupe:
  3. Thanks for all of the suggestions! I'm burning my Starrville Cinn Apple Butter candle now and the cinnamon has settled down from nose-hair scorching to an acceptable level and it has an awesome hot & cold throw. I asked my husband what he thought it smelled like and he said "brown sugar". His usual answer is "celery" so I was pretty happy, and then I realized what he called brown sugar was what I was identifying as my "buttery" note! I'm still going to try a couple of others, but I may have found what I was looking for! Thanks again for your help!
  4. I wish I could help you. I have a sample of this, oob it smells better to me than ICS's Pumpkin Creme Brulee (wihich seems to have disappeared from their website) but I haven't poured it yet. Unfortunately I don't use the same wax, I use an 80/20 blend of GB464 and 6006. If you still want to know how it does I'll be testing it within the next couple of weeks, so I can report back then!
  5. You just missed it. It's under "Premium Oils" or you can type "spruce" in the Site Search box and it'll come up.
  6. It's there, just type spruce in the site search box and it'll turn up! [Edited to add] It's under "Premium Oils", not the regular alphabetical listing.
  7. It might just be because it's Halloween and the smell of burning pumpkins is wafting in from my front porch, but if you have a plain pumpkin fo that might be good with the vanilla & cinnamon!
  8. If you like a Mulled Wine scent hers is the best I've found. Not too clovey and strong!
  9. This has happened before. I can't remember if it was last year or earlier this year, but it seemed like too much of a coincidence that so many posters on this board had had their credit cards compromised at around the same time. It seemed to point to a supplier that we had all bought from at some point, but I don't think an etailer that we all had in common was ever identified.
  10. They do still sell it, it says it's a Votivo dupe though, not Archipelago.
  11. Do you mean Spruceberry Trappeur? I have samples of this that I need to get in wax! Of course I have the samples because of the "you just never know if there's something better out there" syndrome that I also fall prey to as a dedicated foho .
  12. You know, now that I think about it that's true! I don't know why but in my memory of what the Apple Butter candle smelled like my brain must have added a buttery note! Maybe I need to buy another Barn candle to see! Does apple butter smell creamy to you CB? What if I added Buttercream to an Apple Butter fo? I guess I'll break down and try the JS Nana's AB. I've tried a few and they haven't been "it". I had just poured Starrville's Cinnamon Apple Butter yesterday and all I could smell was cinnamon. I'll let it cure and see what else comes out when I burn it. Thanks though!
  13. I don't know if this would work but for some reason when I read about this FO I thought of Lemongrass or Lemon Verbena. Maybe because I like a Lemongrass & Sage combination in a FO.
  14. I agree, when I said it's a green fragrance I didn't necessarily mean that it smelled like green grass. I guess I'm going off of perfume descriptions when I say that. It definitely smells like dried grasses, and I do get images of fresh cut hay when I smell it. I think it's an awesome scent, just not for everyone. I remember at the time I poured it I also poured a sample of BnL Autumn Leaves. I had a little bit left of each so I wicked a jar and made me a Hayride/Autumn Leaves layered candle. I loved it!
  15. To me it's an almost green, grassy scent, maybe some sweetgrass in there. I have a candle I poured in this last year, I'll have to dig it out and see if I detect anything else. Just recently I poured Nebraska Sunflower from Scent Works and I thought it smelled similar. I could be remembering it wrong though!
  16. I use ICS's Sugared Spruce, and the only way I can describe it is that it smells the way it sounds! It's not a bakery scent imo, it almost smells like Pink Sugar mixed with Spruce. It's one of my top 10 fo's, and people my husband works with went crazy for it last year this time! I hths!
  17. one where you can smell the buttery part as well as the apples & spices. My SIL gave me a candle she'd gotten from a small company in NE called the Barn, that was such a great Apple Butter scent! I've been trying to find one that good for 2 years now, any suggestions would be appreciated! Tia!
  18. That's interesting, wonder if she reads this board? And it's also interesting because AH/RE doesn't have an Autumn Harvest fo. They have an Apple Harvest Festival and an Autumn Spice (CM), but the notes on the Autumn Spice say the throw in soy is light. :undecided
  19. CBE is spot on in her description & suggestions. I'm a green fig fanatic, if it smells like freshly peeled twigs I LOVE it! If your fig fo is the green type, I highly recommend adding a Vanilla & Sandalwood fo to soften it. I use BCN's BnL V & S. [Edited to Add] Which Fig fo do you have? I'm always in search of that perfect fig scent. So far my favorite is CS Fig Tree!
  20. My Candlewic must haves are Mango Cilantro & Pineapple Mango.
  21. To be honest I'm not even going to try. It would only be a couple three dollars or so, and it's really not worth the hassle to me.
  22. I really like Peak's Sugar Cookie. I gave a candle in this to a friend and she was burning it in her kitchen. She told me her husband came out of the basement and started looking for the cookies to eat!
  23. 2 years ago when I first started making candles I bought a sampler set from BW. Oob I loved the Pumpkin Cornbread and Pistachio Dream Cake and bought bigger bottles, but I've since sniffed TCS Pumpkin Cornbread and like it better. The Backwoods PC didn't really wow me in wax. I also had a sample of their Tamarind & Ginger, I love the scent but again in wax it's pretty soft, nothing like how my kitchen smelled when I made candles with it!
  24. Hmmm, I always think of sugar cookies for Santa. The one's decorated with colored sugar & sprinkles. Are you wanting to blend the milk with the cookie fo? My favorite milk scents are Daystar's Milk Sugar Kisses, and I recently got Lait Sucre in from Scentworks, oob it's perfect but I haven't put it in wax yet. Another one that was on my list to try, KY used to have a Sweet & Creamy that was supposed to smell like sweetened condensed milk but I haven't checked to see if AH/RE carries it. I hths!
