  1. I agree! I do end up transferring a lot of oils from plastic bottles to amber glass, especially the ones that start caving in on themselves. Then I have shelves in my basement where they're stored in a fairly cool, constant temperature year round and away from sunlight.
  2. Belinda, I might end up taking you up on that kind offer! I'll probably wait until after the holidays though, finding a good coffee fo was one of those stray thoughts, if you know what I mean!
  3. Is it Starbuck's or Aztec's French Vanilla Latte that you love?
  4. I did a board search for "best coffee" and there were a couple of mentions of CS Fresh Coffee (but description says it has a touch of chocolate), ICS coffee blends are well liked but I didn't find anything specific on their Coffee Bean fo, the overwhelming past favorite was Bert's! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Hmm, the description at CC for Fallen Leaf sounds a LOT like the Mountain Leaves from Fillmore. Good luck with your search!
  6. Hi Renee! I'm sorry, but I have never smelled the ST Woodland Spice fo. But as far as earthy, fallen leaves type fragrances I can recommend a couple. My favorite is Autumn Leaves (BnL) from BCN, it's also a strong thrower for me. Another one I like is Oak Leaves & Acorns from MMS. And then one more I'm just getting ready to test in wax is Mountain Leaves from Fillmore Containers. It has a noticable patchouli note that gives it its earthiness. I don't know how similar (if at all) these might be to the Snowtop oil, but they seemed to sort of meet your criteria! I hths!
  7. OMG! I got in another order today (mostly 1 lb'ers of ones I only had samples of) BUT I did get a couple of new samples. I'll have to say that I definitely want to drink the Cocoa Therapy, and the Lavender, Sage & Rosemary is intriguing oob. I can see (smell?) it being very successful for people in soaps, but I'm still going to try it in my wax. I've got to tell you though, my top 2 Fillmore scents so far are Christmas Tree & Cinnamon Cider. Cinnamon Cider smells just like Bert's Apple Cinnamon Cider and throws just as well for me, I've tried so many others since she went out of business (Tennessee, ICS and I don't remember who else right now) and this is the clear winner! I'm thinking that Citrus Spruce may end up being #3, waiting for those candles to cure so I can see if it throws as well for me as Candle Soylutions Citrus & Balsam.
  8. Spiced Cranberry Spiced Cranberry Spiced Cranberry Spiced Cranberry Spiced Cranberry.....I think you get the idea!
  9. Yay! You got your stuff! I love the Citrus Spruce also!
  10. I hadn't found a mulberry fo that I could stomach until just recently. With all the buzz about AH/RE having the HI Baked Apple I was shopping for something else to buy along with it, saw that they also have a HI Mulberry! I haven't put it in product yet, but oob it is the best mulberry I've smelled, and I've been searching for a good one. Might be worth a sniff!
  11. a AH/RE oil I have, it's Cedarwood & Patchouli, but all I smell is cedarwood. It needs some help I think! Tia!
  12. Ravens & Puma, I will be sure to review them! And Ravens, those two fo's are the only ones I got, I've been going crazy with the buying lately, so I had to limit myself!
  13. Well Puma & Ravens, you guys got me so intrigued that I ordered both of those oils!
  14. I was browsing on Cierra Candles website and saw a fragrance oil that sounds like what you're talking about. It's called Scentsy Type "Oxford" and is described as a masculine, sophisticated blend, of ginger and frankincense, combined with woodsy cedar and rich amber undertones. Just an fyi, I've personally never smelled this oil, but I remembered your post and thought you might be interested..
  15. I wasn't exactly sure what a wassail is supposed to smell like so I had to look it up. Turns out I'm more familiar with the word as a verb, rather than a noun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wassail One of my favorite winter scents is Mulled Wine from JS, maybe mix that with a Mulled Cider for your very own version of wassail!
  16. I know, right? It made me very happy as well! You'll have to let me know what you think of the Olive Blossom!
  17. That's good to know about the Clove! And I know that the CS Mistletoe is a huge seller for a lot of people on this board, but I only make candles for myself, relatives, friends & neighbors, so I can afford to not use a fo that would run me out of the house gagging! And I definitely plan to include the word balsam in whatever I end up calling it!
  18. I agree w/Candybee 100%, I can't stand eucalyptus in candles (too sharp & medicinal smelling) therefore my CS Mistletoe sample never even made it into wax. The Fillmore Christmas Tree really does smell like fresh balsam, if a person has never smelled fresh balsam fir (it has a limited range, it only grows in Canada and north & east of the Great Lakes in the US) then it might be hard to imagine. So it must be candle nose!
  19. Imo the Spiced Cranberry from BCN wicks pretty normally, it's certainly not a wicker-upper like an Amish Harvest. I use an 80/20% mixture of 464/6006. And RWV, I can't imagine another version being any stronger than the BCN, this is one of my staple fos in the winter months and it's an amazing hot & cold thrower @ 8% fragrance load.
  20. Dolphin, did your customer specify what kind of spice? I've seen amber combined with sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, musk, vanilla, ginger, and sometimes floral notes. I did a search in the Fragrance Oil Finder just for amber, then you can see all of the potential combinations. I hths! http://www.fragranceoilfinder.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=amber&osCsid=33f6eb2c8b16d0f9de67a141d06bab06&x=12&y=7
