  1. Puma 52 I have never mixed it, thought about patchouli but never tried. I actually like it on it's own.
  2. The Balsam & Citrus from Elements is very good.
  3. I use the Nag Champa from WSP and have a customer that loves it. Said it was the best she had bought. Buys it often in votives.
  4. Aztec has a cozy cabin and also barnwood. Both smell good to me.
  5. AH has a Vermont Maple Syrup.
  6. Instead of blowing out my wick I use a wick dipper. I saw this several years ago and you just dip the flame in the melted wax and it puts it out, no smoke. Just straighten your wick back up and its ready for next burn. You can just use an old knife or similar to dip your wick with. Another thing I learned from this forum was to twist your wick several times so when your wick burns it will gradually untwist and burn all around. I use a wick bar to hold my wick centered and this keeps it from un-twisting before it sets up. I use cd wicks in my 4786.
  7. Try coming up with something without the birch. I have that scent and personally don't like it and it really hasn't sold. I think people see birch and that makes them hesitate about buying it. I only ordered it because of the reviews but the birch name didn't especially appeal to me!
  8. I have used several "leaves" scents and I like The Flaming Candle Co Falling Leaves the best - http://www.theflamingcandle.com/candle-fragrance-oil/fragrance-oil-a-z/falling-leaves-fragrance-oil/
  9. There used to be a candle maker on this forum that used soy and she really believed in tempering her wax. Seems like there was some controversy - to put it mildly - over this. I think it was just a process of heating and reheating the wax several time with no oil or dye in it. Reference was made to chocolate. Haven't seen her around in a long time and can't remember her name.
  10. I like Sandalwood from WSP. Of course I have nothing to compare it to either!
  11. I also use 4786, been using it for years and heat and reheat it in my turkey fryer
  12. Falling Leaves from The Flaming Candle Co has a smokey wood scent to me.
  13. That happens with paraffin, sometimes more and sometimes less. Don't need to poke relief holes for a container candle. Just top it off with left over wax that is heated a little hotter than the original pour. Don't know anything about the wax you are using.
  14. I have had them arrive like that but really didn't think anything about it! It really won't effect the your wick or the way it performs.
  15. Once i start poking relief holes I keep poking until it is pretty well set up. When I started making pillars yrs ago I couldn't find anywhere that said how long to keep poking the holes so I did it many times. I will even poke into the holes when I do my repours to be sure. I have been using 4625 for many years. I pour around 185.
  16. I know in past post that a lot used the cinnamon buns from ICS. It is very good & strong in my paraffin.
  17. We built a large room unto our house about 10 yrs ago for me. I have a stove and sink in it plus a room for storing supplies & junk! Sure was an improvement from working in the kitchen having to clean everything back up each night and storing in a spare bedroom.
  18. I didn't care for the Cracklin Birch either. It did get good reviews but just not for me!
  19. I really like the Nag Champa from WSP. A customer that only buys that scent said it is the closest to the original incense that she used to buy. Can't remember the name but think it is an India incense.
  20. Trappeur if it is the first time you have ordered you can use the code sample and get your 20 anytime. That's the way I understand it.
  21. Trappeur it's not to late to order. Just select your 20 or more and put sample in the code and you will get them ... (edited to remove specifics)
  22. Not that I needed anymore oils but just couldn't resist. Took the plunge and ordered my 20 yesterday! I had bought This Old House years ago and really loved and and so did some of my customers.
  23. Beautiful Trappeur! Love the crystal.
