  1. Can't help you on the wax & wicks, use paraffin but I can give you my opinion on double wicking for a fundraiser! I used to use the apothecary jars and I hot glue my wicks. Well, on really large fundraisers by the time I double wicked the jars, this was after putting them on template to get wicks even, then I use the bars to hold the wicks-thus 2 bars per jar. Well, I was totally worn out just from wicking and it is so time consuming! I finally told fundraisers no more apothecary jars, only jars that are single wicked and they had no problem with that. Just my "sage" advice. haha
  2. I love AH's Banana Walnut Cake. Makes you go ahhhhhhhhhhh!
  3. Well, I guess some people are just a natural "smart a**!
  4. I am like8-GRAN-ONES, I have resisted so far but it has been so hard. Had promised myself I was not ordering any more oils, have to many now! But you'll just keep on. lol
  5. I have tried SEO and it used to be a big help. I used Yahoo but when they went with MS & Bing didn't have nowhere near the results. Using Google now but it still wasn't as good as Yahoo. I did craft shows in past but they were not that great. There are no really good ones close enough for me and besides, to old to start again with them!
  6. Well I don't pormote like a lot do on FB. Just don't have the creativity (?) to do so! I live in a town where there are practically no one that buys candles and I don't have a store so I mostly have to depend on my website. I changed my name but sent out newsletter to my customer list but I guess they are like me - broke haha
  7. Well, almost afraid to ask but is anyone selling having any luck selling candles online? By that I mean more of jar and pillars, from what I see on FB the main thing selling are the "fancy" tarts and I just don't do them.
  8. Thanks all. Now gotta decide! It's not like I need more oil!
  9. I have been searching and found some old post but really need to order more This Old House and was hoping to get a couple more. Anyone ordered any must haves from them lately? The Spicy Apples & Peaches seemed real popular.
  10. Debra I am like you about samples, I really never order them unless they are free! If I am not sure about one I just order 8oz, otherwise it is always 16!
  11. Was just browsing and came across this website - onlyfragrance.net. They say they are in Atlanta, and are a manufacturing firm. Was just wondering if anyone had heard of them. Their oils are priced low since they are new.
  12. If you don't have a good program for printing labels you may want to try Avery's label printing software, it's a free download from their website. I would be lost without it!
  13. Marcuset I did the same thing and just have PP on my website. In my opinion it is way cheaper and I personally prefer using PP when I am shopping at other sites. My CC processing was just getting to expensive. It was the one I started out with when I first started in 04 and just never changed or tried to find cheaper.
  14. I have those same little molds, think they are really cute! Yours turned out really good.
  15. I use foxy cart and really like it. You can have ever how many scents you want. You can use paypal as your payment choice with it. It is 19.00 per month. foxycart.com
  16. Nice labels! On my clams I tried the label both ways and decided I liked it better turned the other way.
  17. Don't know what the Gold Canyon's smells like but Mill Creek has a Cozy Cabin that my customers really like. Don't know if the same or not.
  18. I'am with Stella on this, especially the silver one with the design that circles the pillar. To me it looks like the mold. As far as the velvet looking one it made me think of the sugar frosting dazzle dust you can get from aroma haven. If you get it done just right to me it sorta has a velvet look to it. I have some and have tried it.
  19. Toe nail clipper here also They are so easy to use, especially when you have a row of jars that need wicks trimmed. Just go down the row clipping.
  20. Banana Walnut Cake from AH is wonderful!!!!
  21. Love Starrville's French Market! Super strong in paraffin.
  22. I get mine from Elements. Don't know how close it is cause never smelled the original. It is strong in my paraffin :smiley2:
  23. Love their oils and never noticed the shipping being any higher than any other supplier. I have found with UPS though it is cheaper to ship across country than to ship in the state you live in.
