  1. Most of my dyes came from Lone Star and been using them for 10 yrs plus. Also like CS & AH/RE dyes. I ordered Welcome Home from MS and This Old House from FB but to my nose the Welcome Home smells just like This Old House from TC.
  2. I also started out using the coffee cans when they were aluminum and had one for every scent and just left the scent in them until next time. We drank a lot of coffee! But when I built my shop that was to many coffee cans to keep up with and ordered the pitchers. I have 7 large & 2 small ones. Pour left overs in tarts.
  3. http://shop.tylerstarrville.com/French-Market-Fragrance-Oil-11279.htm Try this, I have ordered from them years ago and liked what I ordered. Think I ordered the French Market and loved it.
  4. I like Olde Towne Bake Shoppe from Peaks. This is description - warm, inviting aromas of an old-fashioned bakery. Top notes of buttery vanilla combine with the irresistable scents of fresh dough and gooey batter, with hints of sugared almonds to complete this heavenly fragrance.
  5. Be sure the glue sticks say high temp glue sticks, The dual temp does not work.
  6. would this work - http://www.lightsforalloccasions.com/p-5426-rustic-tin-vase-corrugated-sides-325-x-325-galvanized-metal.aspx?gclid=CJb20Z_UwNICFRY8gQod17cIjQ Another one but they aren't cheap! http://www.save-on-crafts.com/vase-metal-corrugated-norah-7-25in.html?gclid=CJz9oMLUwNICFdgYgQodqnoGmA
  7. I have never been asked about ingredients nor seen where it should be listed.
  8. I don't list ingredients on my room spray label, just scent name, size, my company.
  9. Give me a sausage scent, also love to find a straight garlic! lol
  10. I agree with Trappeur on Lemon Verbena from Flaming. I tried SC but it just wasn't strong in my paraffin. Don't think I have tried any other.
  11. I use high temp glue sticks and also a high watt/temp hot glue gun, with no problem. The other glue sticks do not work, can't remember what they call them. I also put a big glob of wax on the wick tab and be sure it covers the whole tab.
  12. Well, I do like the bow, maybe make it a little smaller like you said. Just seems to make it jump out at you more than plain.
  13. lovelyscents asked about clipart and I see where people in some of the groups just grab them from anywhere. I get all my clipart/pictures that I use from fotolia.com. It cost but I don't have to worry about it being legal.
  14. This is the description from WSP - A warm and complex blend of cinnamon bark, clove leaf, spiced rum, jasmine petals, tahitian vanilla, sandalwood and musk. On the reviews a couple said it was a little sweet. I use it in paraffin and the HT is fine to me.
  15. Don't know if you want to order from WSP but I like the Tropical Spice.
  16. Don't think you will regret using them. Well don't know how to attach quotes or whatever. You know the old saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" lol
  17. I know oils I get from RE, WSP, ICS are always going to be top notch. I do use a few from other suppliers that I like but those 3 I know I can depend on. Price does not determine what supplier I order from. Added to say Elements and CC also.
  18. Be sure you are buying the correct labels for your type printer. If laser printer buy labels for laser printer and if ink jet buy labels for ink jets printers. I have always used ink jet printers and in beginning I didn't know the difference and got labels for a laser printers and they smudge and don't dry.
  19. I use a turkey fryer that holds same amount of wax and it has a spout and only heats to about 200 or so. When I bought it years ago much cheaper that the melter above.
  20. Like TallTayl says but I also use my small pour pot with a small amount of wax in it, to full and it spills to easily.
  21. I always loved the Country Christmas but best I can remember it was not a spiced Cranberry. Maybe a berry/vanilla?
  22. There was a post involving this in the past. From a condensed version I posted on my FB page it must have been in 2010. This is the condensed version. Why can't I smell my candle during the summer? This is from a discussion last year in one of my forums with someone asking that ?? This is what other candle-makers are saying. I have tried to condense it down and hopefully it will make sense!! It has more to do with how close your candle is to the air return with central air. Once the fragrance gets to the air return, gets "conditioned," and comes out the vents your scent throw is reduced. Fragrance hangs more in warm air. In order to cool the air in a house the moisture has to be removed from the air. As the air is cooled, the moisture drops out of it, - cool air simply cannot hold as much as warm air. In essence the AC acts like a dehumidifier first before it can cool the air. "Dry" air is less work to cool than "wet" air which is why the AC dehumidifies the air it cools. Once the fragrance gets to the air return, gets "conditioned," and comes out the vents, you may find the scent throw from your candle is much weaker. The reverse is true for heating. Your house still recirculates air in the winter when the heat is on, its just not dehumidified in the process. One candle-maker suggested getting on a ladder and "sniffing" the air at the top of your room where there is warmer air!!!!
  23. Think I have said this before but I keep old panty hose and cut the leg off and cut a piece and tie it around the spigot of my presto pots and turkey roaster and the wax comes out clean. You can tell when you need to change it out.
  24. Salty Sea Air from AH/RE is really good.
  25. Lone Star also a Victorian Christmas. I used it years ago and really liked it. Just don't order from them more, mostly order from closer supplier.
