  1. There are not any soybeans in the world that are fully organic, same is true for corn. It has to do with how the fields cross-pollinate after so many years of having round up ready beans, next to organic crops. I eat fully organic and have lots of knowledge about the lifestyle, but My dad is a farmer of soybeans and he had lots of say on this issue, including I'm waisting money buying organic cause there is not such thing as organic beans or corn ???. And both of them are in everything in one form or another!
  2. No need to buy KY tart if you have 650. I recently received confirmation from Flaming Candle that these waxes are the same, from the same manufacturer. I asked because I thought maybe they were after working with both of them for a year....I couldn't tell a bit of difference between them at all. And that's because they are the same!
  3. All of the Ecosoya waxes are out of stock, at every supplier, this isn't just a Peak issue. Ecosoya has pulled all of their wax from every supplier and are going to replace them with so called " waxes with improved scent throw." They were suppose to be out in March, then I heard June. But no sign of them yet. Peak is out everything else too, not just the Ecosoya. But I thought I would mention the soy wax issue in case you haven't heard (your post was worded as if you had not).
  4. I'm in Dallas. Peak does have this wax as a part of thier samples, but it has been out of stock in the sample size as well as the regular size for over 3 months. I keep checking back tho. Yes, I could call and ask if anyone near here has any in small amounts. I checked on eBay and Rtsy even, with no luck. Thanks!
  5. Do any of you have any extra 4627 lying around that I can purchase from you? I am looking for between 1-2 lbs. I am willing to purchase it at any price, as well as pay for the shipping. (I am just making candles for myself and wanted to try this wax, but I certainly don't need to but 25lbs of it. I can't buy it in a lesser amount than this). Thank you!
  6. I would try pouring a little cooler....like 150. I can get it to release from oval cups at 150. I have tried it alone as well as with a bit of the any of the following waxes added. 650 or KY tart at 20% 4794 at 25% 4625 at 20% 450 at 30% but again I am pouring all of these lower than 160. It just won't release at 160.
  7. Great tip! Thank you! Thanks to all of your for your support! I love all of you! And I love this forum!....nothing else like it out there! I have learned so much from reading and reading and asking and sharing! ?
  8. Thank you to all of you for your kind words and support! I have never ever tried oils from WSP and what is holding me back is the price. I do believe you get why you pay for tho! Do the price not effect the end price of your finished items?
  9. Belinda outside of RE who is your fav supplier for oils. I thought RE would be my go-to, but I'm not rethinking everything. Do you like NG?
  10. The smell OOTB is there, they just are not performing in wax. I do think all of these oils with work in B and B.
  11. I am making tarts, so the wicking issue does not apply. As far as the wax, I reached out to my wax manufacturer and they were amazing in helping me. They told me that the wax I was using was from the same batch, so there was no difference in the waxes I used. I also went back and tested the 3 fragrances in KY tart wax (since RE said that their oils were not guaranteed to work any wax other than thier waxes), but the throw with the KY tart wax was the same as with my wax blend. The fragrances I had problems with are as follows: lavender vanilla bondfire bliss Pink sugar (anquiola type) I don't know if you guys have had the any experiences with these oils. Believe me, I would love it to be an issue with the wax or something else, but I just don't think it is. But I am certainly open to hearing any suggestions. I am very torn because I think they have one of the best oils selections out there, with many I love. In the one once bottles anyway.
  12. Once again, I am having issues with oils from Rustic Escentuals. It was when I recently spoke with another lady on this forum having the same issues that I decided this post was the right decision. Here is goes.... After testing and testing and more testing, I have come to the conclusion that RE's one ounce bottle oils are stronger in wax, than that of their larger bottles. Period. Either they or one of their suppliers are responsible for the potency being downgraded when buying any bottle over 1 ounce. This issue I speak of has happened to me with 3 separate oils, 3 different times. I bought 1 ounce bottles of fragrance for testing in my wax blend and when burned, all 3 oils met my 24 hour required strong throw requirement. So I went back and bought larger bottles of each one and I tested them in the same wax blend, with the exact same process. When tested the wax that I made with the oil in the larger bottles, I was left with a light throw between 30 min-1.5 hours!!!! No, I don't have candle nose (testing was done 6 months apart on the first and second round testing). No, it is not the waxes (all are from the same lots). I contacted RE to ask for advise, I was greeted by utterly rude and extremely offensive commentary. I emailed back and forth with them for nearly a week, but never was I given a straight answer. This lady talked in circles, making me feel like I was actually living in groundhog's day. I was disrespected, the company's where I purchased my waxes were also blamed and disrespected. They went as far as to say that their oils are NOTguaranteed to work in any wax other then their own. (I went back and tested them with KY tartwax with the same results). I would be happy to post the very hateful responses I was given from this company. After none of my questions were answered, I felt like the only thing I could do was leave feedback on the oils in question on their website for others, BUT my ratings were never posted to their site, as I gave a one-star review on those 3 oils. So I started to look closer....I looked at every oil they sell and there is NOT ONE OIL on their entire site that has a rating below that of 3 stars. It is safe to say their rating system is an outright scam of lies that are highly skewed, as they are governing every single post below the 3-star mark. When I have posted ratings on other sites, I hit enter and they went up immediately. On this site, you get an actual notification that THEY will review the rating (and apparently not use it, if they don't like what you've said). Shocking. Shocking. I can promise you all that if a company is shady enough to have a skewed rating system, they ARE also shady enough to step on their own oils in larger bottle format. There are soooooo many companies out there who do things right, please don't waste your hard earned money with this company. They are an absolute joke. This hobby is expensive enough, without a company taking your money and giving you the middle finger in return.
  13. Agreed. Many oils are very different in wax. Usually much better!
  14. I test my frangrance oils in salt, not in water. This helps the oils not to burn off as fast. You can get a general idea if the oil throws or not, but I have had oils that didn't do well in salt, but it fine in the wax. Same is true of the reverse. There is really no way of getting out of testing the oils in wax.
  15. They are all similarly priced, but it's more about the shipping of the wax. Find the closest resource to you and buy it there. The shipping is a killer on a heavy product such as wax.
  16. I have 3 warmers. All hot plates. I test in all 3 at the same time, using a full oval portion cup, which is typically 1.5-1.8 oz. one is a 20w, one is 16w other is a 14w. i do test all of my oils in salt and I was using an oil with good throw in salt.
  17. Thank you for all of this amazing info!! I ahve trued many many of the same you have, but I couldn't get a good throw on flowering boxwood, ocean mist, or blue sugar. I did get decent throw out of Kentucky Burbon and C. salsa. Sandwood Rose was one of my favs, but no throw on that one or Tobacco Caramel. I have tried your blend of 4630 with 4625 and I can't get much out of it. A couple of hours, maybe. The 4786 does better for me. It was the same with 6006 and 4625....in fact this blend was worse for me than the first blend you mentioned. I dont think its candle nose, I switch up frangrances frequently and can small OOTB. I will say, I have a very wide open space in which I am testing.....over 1000 sq ft. I am testing in 3 melters, 1oz of wax total.
  18. I am still in the testing phase. But it is looking like my final blend with he as follows: 4796 and 4630 at 40/60 or KY tart and 4630 20/80 i have tested their oils in about 12 different waxes. But again, the above looks like it will be my blends. I am about the go into the final getting phase. I am not having the same frangrance oil problems with RE oils....just an FYI. I am making tarts. Heat to 200 add frangrance between 180-175. Pour around 160. I let them cure for a couple of days before testing. Min 48 hours and Max of 2-3 weeks. Hope this helps answer my question cause I would love to use Flaming Candle as much as possible, as I love their customer service. I recently had a long convo with another tart maker on this platform and she too was having problems getting hot throw with FC oils but not with RE oils. Thanks for your help!
  19. I can't get it to throw in any of my lower wattage melters and it's because the melt point is so high. It will throw in my 20w warmer, but most Scentsy warmers don't come in 20w. In fact some are as low as 8 watts. This wax would never melt in an 8w warmer. As a stand alone wax, it takes nearly 2 hours to fully melt in my Yankee and Scentsy warmers. I just don't think it's a good idea asking customers to wait 2 hours for significant throw. I will say it does well for about 2 hours in my candle melters, but that isn't long enough. Plus I would say the reason most people melt is to get rid of the open flame. Even when I have added a softer wax to it, I just overall wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. I much prefer 4794 over the 4525. I am still playing with it a little, but this one has lots of red flags to me.
  20. It is very upsetting. Please let us know how it goes with the your new tart wax....I am thinking about purchasing some.
  21. What do you pour the 444 at in order to prevent frosting?
  22. I'm having some issues with 464. Terrible frosting and very light hot throw. Heating to 190, Fragrance oil added at 180 and pouring around 140....is that too high still for pouring? As for the hot throw, I'm using an oil that I know has good throw, so it must be the wax or something I'm doing with it. Any direction is appreciated!
