  1. I have been looking around this site. I am not sure on prices but it is easier to navigate vs alibaba. https://www.okcandle.com/products/New-Product_page2.htm Karen in MA
  2. I have also looked at Ali Express but cannot find the same kind of jars. Karen in MA
  3. I also sent some requests for free samples and also find the replies to be very confusing. I have replied back with requests for shipping quotes to my zip code. Karen in MA
  4. I came here this morning to ask this very question. I also love the jars at Dream Vessels plus all the great jars I see fellow chandlers using down under. I found exactly what I am looking for on Alibaba. Will be definitely following this post. Karen in MA
  5. Hello everyone, I was at a show this weekend in a rather affluent town and several people asked about how my candles are fragranced. I did my speal on why I use fragrance oils and the disadvantages to using many essential oils in candles but with all the hype of the essential oil sellers out there now many people were not convinced on what I was saying. Has anyone ever put together any kind of hand out on the use of fragrance oils vs essential oils in candles? If so would you be willing to share? I generally stress how they are great in bath and body products but not needed in candles. It is difficult to get a good strong throw with many of the essential oils and the price point would be much higher especially with the price of a good patchouli essential oil. Just curious how everyone else handles it or should I just ignore the people that do the walk by saying they can only use an essential oil candle. Karen in MA
  6. I ordered a case of these a few years back to make candles in. They are very thin and I was concerned with the possibility of them cracking or breaking so I never ended up using them. Karen in MA
  7. Okay everyone you are so good at this. I love CW Autumn leaves scent and it is a huge seller for me but at this time of the year I have to tell people to actually try it because of the name Autumn. To me it smells just like Pine Tree Sap. I really want to come up with something a bit more Winter like in the name so people will try it. Here are what I came up with. Let me know if you would pick up any of these scents or if you have any other suggestions let me know. The scent description is nothing like what it smells like, again it smells just like the pitch you get on your hands when cutting down a christmas tree. I am on the fence about putting Pine in the name as it does not have a traditional pine scent to it. Scent description: Warm, earthy patchouli is combined with wood notes, sweet dried fruits, grated spices of clove and cinnamon, and light top notes of mandarin and berry to create this luscious autumn aroma. Rustic Pine Amber Pine Pine Pitch Pitch Perfect Karen in MA
  8. I replied in another thread. I have the Berry Trifle and it smells good OOB. The other two will be here tomorrow. The Berry to me is going to be more of a Spring or Summer scent. I will let everyone know when I put them into wax. Karen in MA
  9. I already have the Berry Trifle and it smells good OOB. The other two will be here tomorrow. Karen in MA
  10. I have used the one from Aztec with great success and figured I would give the one from Flaming a try. I did not like it as much out of the bottle or in wax. It was just not as rich and creamy smelling as the one from Aztec. I tell my customers it is like Thanksgiving dinner in a jar. Karen in MA
  11. I have a question for all of you. I know many people do it, candles in mugs, thin frail wineglasses and lots of containers not made for heat but has anyone actually done candles in coffee mugs without any issues? The reason I ask is I got a new toy, a sublimation printer and in between pouring candles I am having fun making mugs. I was thinking of adding personalized candle mugs to my site that way they have the mug when done. My issue is does the fragrance seep into the ceramic? I would hate to have it effect the taste of the beverage after. I have a mug with a broken handle so I am going to try one but figured I would ask all of you also to see if you have had luck with it. Thanks, Karen in MA
  12. Thank you everyone for the name suggestions but my husband actually came up with a good one we are going to use, Fireside Flannel. Karen in MA
  13. So I put the autumn flannel in wax today from Flaming candle. I am trying to think of a better name for it. I try not to use season specifics for names because I find some people wont pick up a scent to try because of it. Does anyone have any suggestions? When pouring it I got a heavy woodsy/fire undertone similar to crackling birch from Candlewic. Thanks, Karen in MA
  14. Glazed Cinnamon Donuts from Indiana Candle is amazing and a huge seller for me. Karen in MA
  15. I use the 444 and scent ed it at 8.25%. Karen in MA
  16. I had a customer ask for a dupe of theirs and I searched high and low. They wanted a dupe of the Farmhouse scent. I ordered a few scent shots to compare to fragrances. I found their Farmhouse was an exact match to NG Harvest Type so maybe they are a NG user. Karen in MA
  17. I am getting ready to pour some of the new ones today from Flaming, this being one of them. I am also pouring Cozy Cabin and Charcoal Tonka. I have already poured the Butterscotch and Bourbon from them and it is a nice Warm Butterscotch with a bit of kick. Karen in MA
  18. I tried several different wicks with this jar and was never very successful. Here is the post on these jars. If you are able to get this wicked properly please share. Karen in MA
  19. I will chime in as well. GB 444 for me as I need the higher melting point for outdoor Summer shows. I like an HTP or sometimes an ECO wick in it. For pillar and votives I used to use Ecosoya pillar blend but since the change I have not ventured down that road again. I currently have a few pounds of Palm and a few pounds of Apricot wax sitting here to try. Karen in MA
  20. I had ordered a sample of it to compare. Out of the bottle it is similar along with the Lush Linen to Luxe Linen. Karen in MA
  21. hello everyone I have to share my thoughts on the new fragrance at Fillmore and another from Cierra that I poured. First the new Tomato Leaf from Fillmore is awesome. Not something I would ever burn myself but I have had a few people ask for it so I figure I would give it a try. I have ordered a few others but none of them actually smelled that great but the Fillmore one was spot on. I had a craft fair yesterday and believe it or not I sold everyone I had. The other scent is the Black Licorice from Cierra candles. I love the scent of Black Licorice and I know it is one that you either love or hate. I also sold all of that I had yesterday. It is one of those scents that brings back a childhood memory, a feel good feeling. I am ordering more of both of these today. Both were poured in GB/AAK 444 Karen in MA
  22. Great now I need to order from another supplier. I am also looking for a great toasted marshmallow. I sell tons of Bonfire Bliss so will definitely order this one. Any other suggestions for scents to order from Oregon Trail, I hate just ordering one. Karen in MA
  23. Hello everyone, So I finally reordered from Community Candle so I could add Luxe Linen to my cart this time, I forgot last time. It is a nice scent and now I see Candle Science has a Luxe Linen so I will have to order some to compare. But I have to say I ordered 8 oz of Coffee and Doughnuts and I cannot wait to put that in wax today. I love coffee scents and bakery scents and this is a great mix. I also reordered Tuscan Lemon Blossom, along with Orange Peel and Cinnamon, Kudzu and Pineapple Coconut. Have a great day, Karen in MA
  24. I am late to the conversation but wanted to add my two scents. All my wholesale candles be it private label or not have my warning label on the bottom that includes my business name. I did have one account once ask me if I could leave that off and I said no that for insurance reasons I had to have it on the candle. I found out later that she whites out my name on the warning label on the bottom of the candle. Karen in MA
