  1. It's nice, but soft and light smelling. It won't be blowing any doors off. JS FOs are iffy for me. I use parasoy.
  2. I use a custom parasoy blend using 464, but don't know this wax. Maybe someone else will chime in.
  3. I'm not familiar with this wax. Who is the supplier?
  4. I need this on a plaque in my craft room.
  5. She mentioned in a previous post that it was a CD 8.
  6. Lovely! One of my favorite color combos.
  7. Blending and formulating scents is my favorite thing. Like TT, most of my scents are blends. Even my vanilla fragrance is a blend of 3 different vanillas. I'm inspired by fantasy, music, poetry, literature, tv shows, you name it. Some of my favorites and most popular scents are Opheliac, Baker Street, Guinevere's Wine, Red Witch, Airship Captain, and Northman. Offering something that others don't is key. I can't leave anything alone. When I smell an FO, it's guaranteed that I will come up with notes I want to add.
  8. Love them all. Not a huge fan of your logo on the Sparkling Citrus label, but I love the graphic with the animal silhouette. I prefer your name in cursive better.
  9. What a shame! Their oils used to be good! I love their Absolutely Awesome Oakmoss and Dragonfire. It's been a minute since I've ordered from them, but thanks for the head's up!
  10. Okay, I personally like Bad Idea SoapWerks. It has a nice ring to it. I have never been a fan of replacing letters like "c" with a "k" or "s" with a "z". It's a personal peeve, so much so that when I see cutsey names like Kandle Kottage or Soap and Sudz, I just pass right over it. But that's my idiosyncrasy, not yours.
  11. I agree, Gail! Their site is very outdated. I love their oils, but just going to their site gives me an eye twitch.
  12. I use 8 oz masons. I get good throw with most of my scents with a CD 8. Certain spicy or 'heavy' scents I need to wick up to a CD 10. My 16 oz jars start with a CD 10. The largest wick I buy is CD 12.
  13. Cafe Mocha from WSP is really nice, but I would love to have a straight unadulterated coffee FO, too.
  14. I started with soy because I believed the hype. When it gave me frosting and wet spots and moon crater tops AND didn't have hot throw at all, I started tweaking. Now I use a 60/40 blend of 464 and 4630. As I mentioned in another thread. I label my candles as a soy blend. I have had exactly one customer ask what that meant and when I said, "It's a blend of soy and paraffin waxes", their eyes glazed over and they bought the candle any way. No one gives a crap in my neck of the woods. I'm a full time RN and soap and candle in my spare time. I don't have time to fiddle and coddle my ingredients.
  15. My HP gets super ugly with age, too. Just keeps shriveling and curling up. They still lather really nicely and smell good, but won't win a beauty contest.
  16. If my FO doesn't work at 1oz per lb (or less), I dump it. That just gets too pricey. I do parasoy, though. So throw issues aren't quite so difficult to nail down.
  17. Peak, Bramble Berry and Nature's Garden all have that FO. I don't know what the cost differences are, though.
  18. Welcome! It's a crazy, time and money consuming endeavor, but we all love it!
  19. I've had good luck with my choices from TCMS, but I've also had some duds. I love their Lakeside Birch, Sea Blossoms, Tobacco Vanilla, Mint Meadow (doesn't smell really minty, but it throws like a beast! I renamed it Meadow Breeze), Fir Clove, Pumpkin Cornbread and many more. Their dupes have been the most disappointing to me. The BBW dupes I tried were terrible.
  20. I have Community Candle 1 1/2 hours away, so I go pick it up there.
