  1. I believe that, some people don't care about anybody but themselves. He was probably buying it as a gift and didn't want it to be opened but the proper and polite thing for him to do would be to buy two of them. He didn't care that he was ripping off a small business owner. 😟
  2. Hello Richard and welcome back. 👋
  3. You're welcome. Your wolf and tree image is already a circle so it would work nice with the text around it.
  4. I'm not certain but seems like Candles & Supplies or Nature's Garden has a strong, nice smelling Love Spell fragrance. Have you tried them already?
  5. The colored backgrounds look nice too. I like your graphics. Have you considered also doing a round logo. Put Moonlight above the wolf image, curve the text around it and put Haven under the wolf image so it creates a round logo. Just a thought. Also some fun logo programs are Canva which has a free version and Adobe Spark. Adobe Spark may offer a free trial version. I have used both to make logos in the past. It's nice to have both a compact round logo and a rectangular or landscape logo, depending on the website, social media, label shape, etc. The logo above would work nice as a banner image on a website where as a round logo could work nice on a small label and still be large enough to read easily. https://www.canva.com/ https://www.adobe.com/products/spark.html
  6. Oh the dough bowl question. Here's what I would use a dough bowl for, anything other than a candle. 😆 But seriously, if you really love them and want to sell something in them then what about using them to packaging wax melts or potpourri?
  7. I think they all look pretty, I didn't think of goth when I saw them. Between the 2 with colors, it's easier for me to read the purple and pink one. When using black or a dark background you have to be careful with the font color and use just the right color so it's easy to read.
  8. Hello and welcome to Craft Server, sorry for the slow response, I guess everyone is busy with the Christmas season coming up. I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your children, no parent should have to experience that. I don't have any specific answers but do some searches here on this site for wicking, I know there is a lot of info on that topic. Here's a few links to as well https://www.candleers.com/candle-wicks-101/ and the below video. Wicking is very tricky, the hardest part of making a Safe, Great Smelling, Great Performing, High Quality candle. All the ingredients making up a candle effect the way a wick will perform or not perform. And if you change one thing in a candle recipe, either the ingredient or the amount of the ingredient, then you may very well have to change the wick as well. It's all about science and chemical reactions. Anyone can make a candle but not everyone can make a safe, high quality candle. I hope this will help, continue to do research and ask questions and enjoy your journey.

  17. Hello @Craftykeen and welcome to Craft Server. Have you contacted Lonestar? Maybe they will have an answer.
  18. Oh yes, I certainly agree with you. 🤭 I was mainly looking at the surface, I guess you could say, looking at it as a different business model but it definitely could use some more careful thought and execution.
  19. Exactly, well said. 😉 I tell people anybody can make a candle but it takes patience and experience to make a safe, high quality candle. 🕯️
  20. Here's an interesting DIY candle company, Simply melt, pour and enjoy. They have done a great job with their branding, packaging and website and has a neat story. https://siblings.co/collections/shop It came up as an ad on here and I just happened to click on it. Not sure if this is where I should post this, feel free to move it if needed.
  21. That's funny @ErronB. When I started making candles my husband got tired of hearing me talk about it and he didn't fully understand the issues I faced. He was like, just make the candles and be done with it, you've already tested a few candles so you should be good. And my response was, LOL, yea right.
  22. In my opinion, if you're not OCD before you become a candlemaker then you will quickly become OCD. LOL
