  1. Wow, I didn't know that such a thing even existed. The stirring device is so small but you're saying it really does stir up everything well and through out the entire pot? Just looking at it doesn't look like it would work that well. I watched your video, very interesting device. Thanks for sharing this info and video. And I love eBay for the odd, unusual or discontinued items you can't find anywhere else. If I can't find something, somebody on eBay will usually have it. LOL
  2. Exciting, glad that's a hit for you. I really like the hex jars. I wasn't so sure about them either but once I made a few candles in them, I became a fan.
  3. For some reason I'm having a creativity block and can't think of neat names except this one. Fragrance Village, along the lines of your Scenter Square.
  4. Hello @Amber Begay and welcome to Craft Server. There's lot of helpful info here, enjoy. 🤗
  5. Hello @JannaBanana. I have played around with painting or coloring wax melts externally but I don't really care for the results that I got plus it's labor intensive. It's been awhile since I have done it but I think I like the mix of alcohol and mica the best but I couldn't get the colors very dark or concentrated. But, with that said, it certainly doesn't hurt to play around and experiment with new things. Now that you mention it, there are "chocolate transfer sheets" that may work on wax as well. I don't think I ever ordered any and tried it. Here's some links to additional info that may help you. Have fun experimenting! 👩‍🔬🔬🎨 You can do an internet search on "chocolate transfer sheets" for more info and here's a discussion about it here on Craft Server https://www.craftserver.com/topic/113814-chocolate-transfer-sheets/#comment-1078314 https://www.craftserver.com/topic/6305-what-kind-of-paint-to-use-on-candles/#comment-65960 https://www.craftserver.com/topic/113765-paint-for-wax-melts/#comment-1077794 https://www.craftserver.com/topic/113035-eyeballs-and-wachs-wax-paint/?tab=comments#comment-1068866
  6. Hi @Ashes Foxes, I would say at some point we were all in your shoes, I know I was. For me, eventually you come to a point, with enough experience under your belt and way too many test products on your shelf, that you decide what's good enough is good enough. If you don't then you will never get out of the testing phase. Selecting your best doesn't have to mean that it's Perfect. 🕯️ And certainly make sure that it is a safe product.
  7. Hello @Anand and welcome to Craft Server. Best of luck to you and your friend with your new business. There is a lot of great information here in the database, enjoy. Laura
  8. Yes, naming them the same as another company or brand is confusing.
  9. Nice meeting you and you're welcome.
  10. This is an old perfume from long ago but looks like they still sell it, Love's Baby Soft. I used it back when I was a teenage and loved it. Don't know if it still smells the same but it was a soft, fresh baby powder scent with a little bit of floral scent. https://www.fragrancenet.com/perfume/dana/loves-baby-soft/cologne#288496

  13. Hi. I just happened to see this post but I'm not a soap maker but I love to buy handmade soaps. Without an untrained eye, your soaps look beautiful to me. I don't know what soda ash is (until I just looked it up) and didn't know to look for it. LOL. My point is, buyers that are non soap makers probably won't know the difference. 🧼 It's pretty much the same situation that soy wax candle makers run into with frosted tops and sides. 🥃 I don't mind, I like the more rustic or textured look the ash and frost gives to products.😊
  14. Hello @Noob82. Yes, you can make wax melts with candle wax and especially any left over wax when making candles. A few minor downsides that I can remember may be that the wax might stick to your molds or they may be hard and not so easy to break into pieces by hand. Maybe some one else will have some good input to share.
  15. Yep, been there and experienced that. I get more than annoyed, LOL.
  16. Hello and welcome @Milk Machine. 👋
  17. Hi. Yes, don't you love conflicting information, LOL. I too used Coconut 83 several years ago when it was a good, reliable wax and heated to around 200 and added FO between 180-190 and poured. I generally used 10-12% fragrance load. I still have some of those candles and they continue to have strong cold & hot throw, I don't remember which wicks I used. But as @TallTayl said, waxes have been changing the last few years so they may have changed the directions to those other temps now. Try doing it both ways and see what works best for you. 🕯️
  18. They are using other trademarked names so they must have went out and got permission from those companies, which I don't think is cheap if you can get approved. Time will tell I guess. Their candles and labels look nice.
  19. Wow, unless they have a licensing agreement with Harry Potter, I don't understand how they can get away with this.🤔
  20. I don't understand how they can trademark such common things as a state name or a zodiac sign. Maybe it's in combination with something else as well? 🤔
  21. Oh I second that, I miss the waxes from a few years ago too, they were better and more predictable. Your candles are beautiful and perfect. 👍
  22. You just happened to ask what I've been thinking. LOL
  23. Hi Belinda. It's been a while since I have ordered from them but here's some that I marked as favorites. Barn Wood Beach Towel Moonlight Path BBW Type Draakar Type Midsummer's Night Yankee type Mountain Lodge Pinecones and Amber Very Sexy Men's VS Type
