  1. All supplies will be costing more. Oil 95.00 a barrel expected to go to 120.00. This means UPS, FedEx will be charging more to ship. Everyone will be raising prices! And that means your product prices MUST go up.
  2. Multiple streams of income. Not one of these marketplaces is perfect. If one website goes down, you have backup. ask me how I know.
  3. See if the description says if they are coated. Even coated you still have to test for this aspect. Fragrance oils are strong and can eat through plastic. If your fragrance load is high this can happen!
  4. Investing in Etsy’s growth We plan to make significant investments in marketing, seller tools, and creating a world-class customer experience so we can continue our tremendous growth. To support this goal, on April 11 we will increase our current 5% transaction fee to 6.5%. Learn moreDismiss
  5. Think about this. Why is it flattened? Soft silicone yes? So you put on a soft surface instead of hard to cool.
  6. I’m serious I have a Wyze outdoor camera, and one for my dog. They are not expensive and work great with app. I can talk to delivery people and my dog!
  7. Well the solution is get a Wyze camera and you won’t have stress anymore.
  8. Forgot to add in shipping box so take out .50 - 1.00. So profit $1.00 Seller includes free shipping in ten dollars price. Revenue $10 Fees for Etsy $ 0.7 Fees for Payment $ 0.55 Total Fees $ 1.25 Cost of Goods Sold (Including Fees) $ 7.75 Gross Profit $ 2.25
  9. There is a shop Etsy that has thousands of sales. BUT the shop is selling an 8 ounce candle for 10 dollars and free shipping. Do the math. Product creation. Glass, wax, fragrance oil, Etsy fees, and shipping cost box, box, padding postage. Etsy is on a mad dash for cheap products and sales with free shipping to attract customers but who wins here? Etsy not the seller. I don’t get it.
  10. You do t need 12 per cent of fragrance, back down and that could cure your wick woes. The cd 14 looks better. That’s not a lot of residue, very clean actually. You shouldn’t have to use that much fragrance. Get a different one.
  11. All I know I have fairly new batches of 464 and c3 and both problems, cracking and splitting with each, doesn’t matter what I pour at. Bad wax, me thinks. TT gave good advice you have to troubleshoot by making one from smaller melter, larger melter, plain and with fragrance. Could be ambient temp too, depending on where you live. Is it cold where you pour? Maybe you have to raise pour temp.
  12. Is this a blend you have made? Some soy wax and coconut are not meant to be.
  13. You can also take nylon stocking and use to smooth surface
  14. Try cdn or lx wick smallest sizes. Make test candles about half way then test.
  15. Just because you see it on Etsy does not mean do it! Just takes one spark and you can set off a fire.
  16. I would not send less than 100 per cent perfect candles out or products to anyone who reviews. Show present your best work!
  17. You need to heat your wax up closer to 200 add fragrance oil, and stir very well. You are add fo at too low a temp. Not all waxes play well with coconut. If you do above and not improved try different paraffin.
  18. Weather not helping! Try flaming those with heat gun. Should go away. Just do from distance very quickly.
  19. I have a wood stove with chimney liner and would not use fire starters from wax. The chimney liner was very expensive to install so not interested in any issues with it. Wax firestarters are fine outdoors, but would be hesitant to use inside after the cost of lining chimney.
  20. I would feel better with their rules if they actually followed them. Unfortunately I have found them to be untrustworthy through the years, and would never rely on selling on Etsy full time. Once yes, now no. You have to sell on multiple sites, as each site has their own rules or what ever and if one goes down for whatever reason you are not stuck not being able to sell.
  21. Etsy doesn’t follow their own rules. Handmade hahahaha. There are so many resellers. Report a shop? If they make money they don’t go.
  22. It sounds like you want to mass produce. I think this has to be more of an embellishment by hand. You want to piped look and that will be difficult with your equipment. You will have more control if you do by smaller batches me thinks. do you want the texture in a molded candle? I would make a model and get it cast for the look then pour with you tanks.
