  1. Joy wax is pretty soft. For similar try Flaming candles parasoy. Flaming candles sells tester amounts.
  2. How are you cutting the soap? Wire cutter or blade thingy? Sometime blades can do this
  3. Are you doing CPOP because that can cause bubbles. I found if you just let CP soap do its thing without CPOP behaves better.
  4. Fragrance Buddy Lavender Sage is the only lavender I like because it smells realistic, other ones are either powdery or perfumes
  5. Less mixing will help and pour thinner trace, bang the mold. You don’t really need thick trace unless you are doing layered soap. Make sure when you put stick blender in, do at angle so air does not get in. Pulse soap, and then you can switch to spatula to stir for some fragrances. Some of the fo’s can be stinkers and spatula stir is better than immersion blender.
  6. Do you use sodium lactate? I always use, and you can unmold soaps with more water with ease.
  7. Air bubbles, bang the mold, and also blend less.
  8. You can the following. Change the pour temp, change the cooling procedure, modify the wax. Most likely the 4630 is hardening the wax enough when the wax cools, it pulls away in jar. Better adhesion comes with softer wax. Instead of 4630, you could try 4627 or another soft parrafin. if you are having trouble with CD wick. Test with jar a little more than half full to determine happy place for wick. You should try 4-6 CD wicks.
  9. I would do a test with 1/2 tsp but don’t fill up to top.12 ounces. I believe you need airspace in container for wick to work.
  10. My lampe holds about 4 ounces but I don’t fill to top. Maybe 3/4 ounce. For this amount I use 1/4 tsp fragrance. You can try more but if you lamp isn’t lighting you have too much fragrance. If it happens dump out, soak wick stone in 91 alc, then redo fragrance nd alc insert wick and light.
  11. I forget the wicks most likely CD’s. I liked the wax but annoyed with C and Supplies.
  12. I did some tests with it. Good for opaque jar candles. Not widely available
  13. Having tested a lot of coconut wax blends, palm is better blender. Coconut oil does not always blend well with waxes and can cause issues. But you can add .5% and claim coconut soy wax.
  14. Oh agree on finicky wax. I throw those out the window if they can’t get adhesion without wrapping in tin foil, or must be heat gunned or they won’t look nice etc. etc.
  15. 91 per cent alc! Not 70 per cent. 1/4 tsp approx 15 drops. if you add more and clog the wick, remove it and let it soak in 91 per cent alcohol to clear it. I make my own all the time with above. Lampe B uses isopropyl.
  16. You can make your own fuel easily. It 91 per cent isopropyl alcohol with about 1/4 tsp fragrance oil. Add too much and it clogs the stone. Although I like the concept I still smell the alcohol burning. My nose is very sensitive.
  17. I haven’t tried those wicks but have a candle made with one of the wicks. Don’t like the loose ends and the candle didn’t burn well. That wax seems expensive
  18. The initial lighting is a bit scary. Flame is high. It does throw fragrance though. Different experience from a candle.
  19. I had some for awhile but they are highly flammable. IMHO more dangerous than candle if you tip over fuel. They do have some nice designs for containers. The beginning flame is quite tall fyi, that’s why I’m not a huge fan
  20. Not my favorite, needs blending IMHO. I do like the pillar wax though but it has a definite base smell.
  21. Under the bad in a shoebox works! Try a blend with coconut oil as main with some olive thrown in 80/10, 80/20. I like it so much better than olive. I don’t even add castor. Keep super fat low. Also sub water with some glycerin and it traces and cooks fast.
  22. I do a coconut with some olive and like it better than just olive.
