  1. A little bit of Vick's on a tissue and wiping your nose with the tissue will make everything else go away...
  2. I tried and fell in love with their Plum Caramel FO in March. I wasn't aware of how quickly Aztec adds and deletes fragrances from their website...and a month later, it was gone. I emailed to see if there was any left in stock. The gentleman who replied indicated that if it was off the site, it was gone completely...bummer. I decided to call anyway. An absolutely wonderful lady put me on hold, walked back to the warehouse, and pulled the seven - 1 ounce bottles that were in the warehouse and added them to my ensuing order. Thank you lady whose name I've forgotten...and Travis...well...yeah. No comment.
  3. Hi there. You have several suppliers nearby. Google a little bit, and you'll find several on the Left Coast. I can think of at least 5 of them off the top of my head.
  4. Please, please, please leave HF alone. A close friend experienced minor exposure in a cleanroom environment--dude was lucky that it wasn't a larger gas venting--and will likely have a shortened lifespan because of the lung damage. The results of what happens when there is a pinprick sized hole in your gloves is terrifying, as well--don't Google the pics. Unless you have extensive training on how to handle it and are in a facility meant for its use, please just don't.
  5. The old fashioned Dawn dishsoap as a pre-wash also helps. Mom used to use Lestoil cleaner (not sure if they still make it) to get grease and oil out of dad's work clothes as well.
  6. www.uspto.gov If they're telling you it's under copywright, they're likely confused. My understanding is it should fall under a trademark designation.
  7. "Top Shelf"--everyone calls it something different. I had to go look. Disregard anyway. It's no longer available as a Top Shelf fragrance.
  8. They were one of my preferred suppliers a decade ago, before a long hiatus from making. I tried to pick up where I left off a year or two ago, but it seems like anytime I think about ordering from them, they're out of stock on what I want, and they don't restock within the timeframe they promise. At some point, I may just buy a pound when they're in stock and have them duped. Love their stuff, but over them.
  9. Go on and get the ultra super scented version (I don't remember what it's called). I like it...a lot.
  10. Oh my. I missed this post in March. I found the company online last night. They are about 15 minutes from my office. It's in an industrial park--nothing fancy. However, this is going to be very, very dangerous and bad for me to have so nearby. I did limit my splurge to under $200, so it's all going to be okay. Until the credit card bill is due. Then I'll eat ramen for a week...but darn it, I'll have pretty bath bombs.
  11. LP 416 has existed for over a decade. Please see reference below from 2006. ETA: I think Dolphin is referencing the AAK 94 that's now on the CS site. It's also offered by Filmore, Aztec, and others. That one has been out since last year.
  12. Something else to consider is that shipping costs are brutal. Don't make my mistake of finding something you like, only to realize that the distributors for the product are back east somewhere.
  13. I spent several years of my adolescence working in a tobacco field. Definitely *not* a true scent of the tobacco flower. I've had it for months and haven't poured it yet. Green, floral, a hint of earth. I like it OOB, but it's not true to name.
  14. They have several very pretty smells, but after 30+ samples, I didn't find any that throw well enough for me in soy.
  15. The problem ads are not appearing at the moment. What glasllyn captured were the problem ads--the paper airplane red logo in the corner. I had the same issue on my new work laptop as I did with my old home desktop. Nothing registered as malicious code with the AV/anti-malware software on either. When I used AdBlocked those specific ads on the work pc, the page behaved normally. It was an issue with the paper airplane logo'd ads, not the others
  16. The problem is with THOSE ads here. I don't have the issue elsewhere. I tend to let the ads run on this site for your revenue stream. I can AdBlock them with no issue. Just didn't think that was beneficial for the group.
  17. I've never made it. It just seems tedious with everything else going on in my world. If you'll use the search function, there are a few older suggestions on it. I think I recall someone using soy and coconut?? I don't remember details on any of it though. Welcome to the board.
  18. If you want to send yourself down a rabbit hole of "Why didn't I know about...", search some of the the European and Australian supplier sites. There's a wide variety of products available there that isn't here. This conversation with an old manufacturer goes back a decade, so I apologize in advance for any inaccuracy. IIRC, the initial soybean wax was originally created within the food industry as an alternative to butter/margarine in frosting. Paraffin is byproduct of the oil industry. The coconut wax that's becoming more widely available is one of the byproducts of the food industry--coconut oil is separated into two components whose details I don't recall. I geek out on this stuff. Not completely relevant, but my best guess on peanut, cottonseed, etc. is that they've found a better way to utilize any leftovers.
  19. I was speaking with a smaller wax manufacturer a few weeks ago and mentioned rapeseed. He wasn't familiar with it at all. I'd love to try it.
  20. The spec sheet has been online several months. The MSDS is a dead link--it goes nowhere. As of a couple of months ago, the MSDS was being updated and wasn't available. I haven't followed up with their office more recently to see if it is available yet.
  21. I think that's perfect. If anyone is concerned about a customer burning into the danger zone, consider long neck wick tabs. It's another step in protecting people from themselves.
  22. I read her post completely differently. Amazing how our own personal experience impacts interpretations online. It makes for great discussion and occasional misunderstandings. While testing, I do marathon burns and document melt pool depth, width, and jar temps during the bout of madness. I know many people fail to follow proper burn hygiene, so I want to be able to provide documentation of what happens to my candle during those sessions. It's so cool that you went with new chandler instead of marathon burns. I didn't even consider it from that vantage point
