  1. I had to do a triple take to figure out it was Lights.
  2. Lime Cooler is massive in 4794. I even get that citrus "tingle" from it.
  3. (( breaking up slab wax in bags )) What I do with mine , I take the case, put the slabs in a heavy duty plastic storage box from WM ( its white, with the blue attached lid that folds over and hinges together) and I smash and go . I might do one or two slabs at a time , or do the whole box. That way it's in a clean container that I can store it in, smack it in, and have ready. Trust me, those things can take a beating with a hammer and screwdriver if you need to use that LOL
  4. Steve, that list looks great ! If I was walking in and someone handed me a list of the scents you had , I'd make sure I found your booth! Good luck and have fun !
  5. Thanks for the information. I'm not up to that level and probably won't ever be, but I'm sure the review will help someone !
  6. How the..... ? What the....... ?? OMG it's stunning however he did that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. While the wax is a HUGE consideration, could you give us a short list of which scents, and from what supplier, is turning out to be a dud in your testers opinion? The reason I ask is, there are some great scents out there, that for whatever reason, just will not throw for heck or high water, in some waxes, while they blow the barn door off with other waxes.
  8. Yep, I was referring to the Hazelnut! It's good stuff ! As for the room temp... I've found it does make a difference but since even though it's close to 5 years I've been doing this, I'm still such a newbie in so many ways, I didn't know if my "findings" were just me, or they were real LOL
  9. I dunno baby.... I haven't ever had that one. Maybe someone with it will pop in shortly for ya !
  10. In the past 5 years, I've lived in three houses. 1. 3500 sq ft , distinctly divided rooms, 2 story 2. 1000 sq ft open concept 20 ft vaulted ceilings 3. 1400 sq ft open concept in living/dining/den/kitchen 9 ft ceilings I've tested in all three, and gotten pretty much the same results. House 1 had to have a HT that went through the entire downstairs, 2 I wanted to see how the high ceilings did and this one, 3, it has to cover the entire house ( at least be able to smell it slightly when in the back bedroom and the tester ( a one cube melt .. .5 ounces ) is up front. BUT , after getting those results, I relied heavily on my human testers because all of their houses were different, and they had different things going on. Some didn't cook, Some cooked 3 times a day, some had pets and some didn't, some did power burns, others just let it melt and scent the room then turned it off to see how long the scent lingered.. etc.
  11. Are you talking about the Blue Sugar that is the Aqualina men's fragrance type? If so, I have the one from BCN, and to ME , it doesn't smell remotely like either the Dark Kiss ( it's on my dresser) nor the Winter Wonderland.
  12. Jack, I have all three of the one's you've mentioned, but I use them in melts. As far as your HT goes, that's about the same thing I'm getting ( strength wise ) from those three, at 1:1 in paraffin. All I can tell you about whether to keep them or not.......is they have sold really well for me in Tn, South Bama and NW Florida. In Atlanta ( think that's where you said you were ) it might be different, but my customers liked the fact they were such dead on scents, than the "in your face" HT. Mind if I ask which coffee FO you are using? I've got about 6 and I love them all for different reasons, but the one I have from CS and the one from NG "world's best" seem to sell the best.
  13. I agree. I will put it out, and see if it sells, even if I myself don't personally care for it. If it sells, it stays, no matter my opinion. I have a TON of them I can't stand ... but they sell, so ..
  14. I've been pretty lucky.. But then I do a massive ton of research before I buy an FO . Out of the 300 I had on the shelves, I probably used 180 at all times ( I was in four different states and all four of them sold totally different types of scents from each other) I don't have my notes here, but out of everything I've ever tried ( well over 400 different scents for testing etc) I probably totally said NO to about 60. The rest were either maybe's, I'd use it in different products and not in others, and the rest were yes's. But again, it depended on what area I was putting it in.
  15. Well, they left mine up , well at least they were still up last night. I had one guy get sassy with me but that's ok too. I got sassy right back LOL
  16. After reading some of the posts on there.. I am truly horrified for these people ... and they call themselves survivalists? If they think this is safe, and they are survivalists............. I just don't have a lot of faith in them lasting that long if something were to go down.
  17. That is a gorgeous candle. I LOVE the pattern and especially the color ! Great job !!!!!!!
  18. I didn't read this thread when yall were having it, and I should have. I just saw this crap on FB and I put my two cents in . Everyone is saying I don't know what I'm talking about , yadda yadda, some girl was talking about the difference in flash points between this and wax, on and on. I tried. I really tried.
  19. I COULD make them out of my "used up melt wax" if I want to ( I save it for fire starters) but I just do not have a steady enough hand to pour that tiny , slow , and accurate. I know it would save me a fortune ( because I usually burn about 4 melts a day, 4 times each) but honestly, I don't want the headache lol
  20. I've found that that method seems to work best for me, and I have a basket that is four years old that I keep out year round and they get picked up, dusted off, rearranged, etc.
  21. No, I hate the ones from Wal Mart. They may work for some but every pack I ever got, didn't burn worth a flip, and a lot of time, the wick would just evaporate as soon as you tried to light it, leaving you with a black speck you couldn't light if you had to. Some of the best burning, cheap ones , I've found, is from ( in order of how well they work for me ) .. 1. Dollar Tree , 2. Fred's (it's like a mini wal mart, don't know where all they are but they cover the south ), 3. Hobby Lobby (big pack of 50 or 100 ) and 4. Family Dollar stores.
  22. I use the normal size clam that holds approx 3 ounces. I use one cube to test , in a tea light warmer. Then, I will test in an electric warmer. The reason I do the tea light first is, I want to know just how hard it will throw, and for how long, since the metal tea light warmers I use, get much hotter than the electric. I'm sort of picky that if I can't get at least four tea lights out of them, I rarely carry that scent.
  23. For the one's who've mastered Soy, my hat is off to them. I've read enough to know it can be a beast to figure out sometimes.
