CW, A lot of people here in Alabama, call our capital, Montgomery, "The Gump". It's also called " Monkey Town" . A lot of older people refer to it that way, in a bad bad way, because there is a large population of blacks.. BUT !!!!!!!! The REAL reason it was called Monkey Town, was there was a park that had a slew of monkeys, and a lot of them got out once, and ran all over the place.

And I won't tell you what the old folks call it !

All jokes aside OG, it's something I have been kicking it around since that night at dinner. I've had this "dream" ( probably a pipe one ) of having a store where a BUNCH of us could sell our stuff.

I think we all need to meet back up in the G'burg area, and just move in and make a huge store selling all our stuff. We'd run everyone out of town ! God bless em but they need some fresh blood up there in some of those stores. Not all but some !

Thanks so much Deisel. On the Sandalwood, I think I might try this one, as a mixer ( what I was originally wanting it for ) and get me a small thing of the one from ND and try that out. I love the scent we wore .. well we won't go into how far back it was LOL The reviews will help a lot. Especially on the Tropical Horizon ( I'm tired of the overpowering fruity tropicals or suntan lotion smelling ones ) and the PS and PA .. same for those. That Black Cinnamon I hear is pretty good, but it's not skin safe and a bunch were wishing it was.

......... I'm going to keep my thoughts to myself on this one.. but they aren't pleasant. I'm so sorry that happened VE.

None of it . NAFTA .......... in this tiny town, we had two huge cotton mills, and I kid you not, 10 sewing factories and " the good ole' boys club of Covington Co" . You know the types, the one's that own everything, and don't want any new businesses in ( that was years ago when I was young) and now it's came back to bite them in the ass since NAFTA hit, all of us young ones left, and now no one will come in . We have had a crooked city mayor and council for the past 8 years. Our utility bills here in this town of about 7k , would freak even some of you Yanks out because it's SO high. I've never seen anything like it. They were crooks from the git go but fortunately , we got a new mayor and entire new city council this time . Wish us luck. We definitely need it.

In the 10 years I was gone, over 2/3 of all businesses has closed. What is left, is flea market type stores and the two in town I would even think about putting them in ( well not really but they are somewhat nicer than the others ), well there's just no business in town. There's no jobs. EVERYTHING is so run down now. The houses, no body and I mean NO BODY mows their grass like they should ( even the hotel and convenience stores don't ). It's a MESS.

I'm with Alajane on this one. I was curious as to what people were going to market these for ( price wise ) . And labels, that's kind of throwing me too. ( yall REALLY don't want to see me try to center a label, that's why I was using cardstock insert labels that I make and cut myself LOL .

I am about 90 miles from anything LOL The closest suppliers are Community Candle about 4 hours away, Aztec about 8 hours away, and I think Cajun Candles which is probably about 5 hours. I'm at the bottom of Alabama, smack dab in the middle, about 20 miles from the Florida line.

LOL I LOVE the ole " Triple Scented" schlep. Triple scented can be 1 oz LOL ... if they are going off of putting 1/3 an ounce in something LOL. Or it could be a triple layed different scent candle LOL I can't answer your question, but it did give me a good laugh LOL Thanks !

I know that has to be so hard on you. You get " right THERE" .. and then something happens to delay it. It's so frustrating and maddening and makes you almost wanna throw something. It's hard. I've actually been so depressed about having to delay, I've gotten off the boards anywhere from 5 days to even a few months, because reading what everyone was up to, just made me more sad ( I know, I'm pathetic lol ). Just read and study and sit there and think up of anything "new" you can do that you haven't done, and study up on it and it'll help get you through the days. I found it better, for me at least, to read up on things yall all do, that I don't. That way, I'd be learning something totally different, and what I do, wouldn't be occupying my mind and making me more depressed. I don't know if that would work for you, just saying it was a blessing for me to keep my mind off things!

LOL Yeah, when you're moving, 1 or two boxes more isn't going to make that big a deal LOL The massive amount of money that it will take to get everything back, is one this. One major headache. But let me tell ya, being in an entirely new area, where there is not even one down here so I can see what is selling and isn't, and not having a blasted CLUE what to buy, is the biggest headache. I don't want to buy a lot of stuff I sold up there, and it not move here. Such is life, at least if it doesn't sell here, I'll not have to buy anything for a long time ( to use at the house ) cause I'm a melt -o-holic LOL

Well I know this is OT but with Shine's and your story I had to tell my own! I was a waitress in Gatlinburg and we were SO freaking busy but I'm dang good at my job ( or was when I could do it ) so my customer's never suffered at all. The kitchen didn't like me sometimes because I'd crawl their butts if they screwed me up. One night , 4 people came in , 1 check. Bill was around 120.00. They left a 5.00 on the table and left , all the while praising my service, how they'd love to come back and have me again as theirs........... I saw that five'er , looked at Cookie ( my manager ) and said " I love you, but I'll be right back .. that is if you let me in " ... I walked out behind them, caught up with them, tagged the guy on the arm and said, " Excuse me sir, but you forgot something" He turned around, stuck his hand out automatically and I shoved that $5 back in it. " I think you need this a hell of a lot more than I do." I turned around and walked off.. went in... my entire wait staff ( I was head waitress ) applauded , and Cookie had me a beer ready when I clocked out that night LOL Jackasses.

:awww:Bless your heart Sabrina. I know it might not seem like it is now, but this might have been a blessing in disguise. I am so very sorry he's hurt and I am wishing him a speedy recovery and you lots and lots of strength ( and patience lol men who are sick or hurt can be a handful ! )

Aztec is having a sale ( 4 max for each scent, 50 total ) and some other stuff. I need some new scents for spring and I haven't tried many of their lighter things and floral's. If anyone could give me any help with the following, I'd appreciate it. I'm using 4794 paraffin , so chances are strong if it works well in soy, it'll work well in mine. Putting these in melts and MP. Basil Sage Mint ( is this anything like BCN's) Black Cinnamon Bird of Paradise Blackberry Sage ( is this comparable to Community Candles/Alabaster) Blood Orange and Goji Berries Cactus and Sea Salt Cantaloupe and Lily Cinnamon Vanilla Sage and Citrus Kumquat Georgia Peach Mango Paradise Oatmeal Honey Passionfruit and Acai Pink Sangria Sandalwood Tropical Horizon Water Orchard White Peach and Hibiscus Wisteria
