  2. Sometimes, things just have a way of popping out of your mouth without every checking speed with your brain ! Don't feel bad. ALL of us have done it at one time or another in one situation or another. But I gotta admit, as " wrong" as it might have been.............. :highfive::highfive::highfive:
  3. I'm so glad you had an amazing weekend! There's just no words, are there? LOL Congrats x 18 lol
  4. I'd leave it white also. When I hear the name, I automatically think of the white shaving soap in a cup my grandfather always used from the barber shop and at home.
  5. No problem hun. I love having them just sitting around the fireplace all year, you get a whiff of the cedar chips, but also some of the mixed up scents in the waste wax !
  6. Here ya go, you'll see some of the scrap wax I had was dyed ( the ones in the back that are burgandy ) but this is what mine look like . The other picture shows how high the flame will get in just a few seconds, and they will burn by themselves, at least 12 minutes. ( usually more , but I'm going conservative )
  7. I don't QG, but I've seen some really cute ones that had the tiny pine cones stuck in the center or on the top. The ones I made were geared toward campers, hikers, RV'ers , ect, so having the them able to stack on one another to take up less room, was more the concern than decorating them all gorgeous. I still like mine because I usually have some red wax in the scrap wax so they are almost cedar red colored, so it goes with the cedar chip color. The great thing about these is you can make them as plain or fancy as you'd like. Do whatever you feel, there is no right way or wrong way !
  8. For me, dryer lint just didn't last near as long nor look as nice as using wood chips of some sort.
  9. Well, since I don't make candles other than tapers, I rarely have wick scraps laying around, so I just make sure there's some of the cedar chips sticking up, and just light that.
  10. ummmmmmmmmmm Rut Roh ( looks on the shelf behind me )
  11. I've never done this, so don't hold me to it, but I've heard that a lot will lightly grease the inside of the pipe with vegetable oil, and when time comes to take it out, if it doesn't pop right out to put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  12. I've always thought that was the cutest way to wrap soap ever! It looks great !
  13. I think they look fantastic and we can't wait to hear how it went for you! Wishing you the best of luck, learn lots of helpful tips, make a lot of money and enjoy yourself !
  14. I've honestly never weighed mine but they are pretty substantial. I pack extra large cup cake tins as full of cedar chips as I can, then add some wax, more chips, til full. They weigh enough they'd hurt you if you threw it at someone LOL. I see those for 1.00 a piece to be honest. I could probably get more, but I use waste wax from "spent" melts that I use at home, or extra from dipping pine cones or tp. ( and then there's the fact that Duraflame makes fire starters now that cost 1.00 a piece at a convenience store so you know they are marking them up really high ).
  15. Ok I gotta ask. How'd you keep that from sticking? I mean, I know my iron skillets are "seasoned" and things don't stick in them if I take care, but wax? How'd you do that? Freeze it some til it popped loose? It's cute !
  16. I'm beginning to think that RCT is an aromo-ologist !
  17. When I think of gumdrops, I think of those "spicy" kind of ones. I just threw that out there because someone with a better sense of mixing can probably figure out how to get that spice note if that's what you're going for .
  18. I agree Lorelei. The one's I've tried do not smell anything like bread to me. It might be subjective, we all have different ideas of what it should smell like. I just know when I walk in a store that has a Subway in it and they are baking bread, I could stay there all day long and just sniff LOL. But then again, every loaf I make at home, smells nothing like that but I love it too , so there ya go LOL
  19. DB from CS....... I'd rather take a BEATING than have to pour that stuff. I'm not saying it's not good, cause for what it is, it's great.. I just hate it ... bad thing is , customers freakin love it :(
  20. Yep Jeanie. Not that particular brand but I've seen the same in a bunch others. They should be ashamed. Get someone all excited and then ........
  21. Exactly ! Everything I've seen you post is really fantastic ! Great Job !
