Candlescience and The Flaming Candle both offer starter kits. Starter kits are a great way to get started.

I use (and love) zinc wicks and they are notorious for "shrooming" even under the best conditions and especially with heavy fragrance oil (loads). There have been a few times over the last 16 years of candlemaking that the "shrooms" were pretty much non existing but I still trim to remove the burnt part. It's second nature to me.

J&J Bedtime Bath definitely at The Candle Source and I think RE's Lavender & Chamomile is great too

I never had any issues with them. I always have to wait 3-5 days before my order even ships so it's nothing new to me and I take that time frame into consideration. I just placed an order on Wednesday and it stated up top on their website that their lead time is 8-10 days. I'm just grateful I can still order with everything that's going on right now.

I was able to smooth it out by using another tart wax....so at least it's not useless. LOL Adding 6 oz of my other tart wax to 10 oz of CBL 129 did the trick.

transfer your domain to GoDaddy.com....if your current registrar releases your domain without a hitch it should be a smooth move. You will need a authorization code from your current registrar. Then set up an account at GoDaddy. GoDaddy is pretty good. I have been with them for a long time and have registered many domains with them. yes I tried adding a softer container wax but it was still rippling...the only thing that smoothed it out a little was upping the fo load

I plan on ordering the 126...just hate to waste wax. 😂

I made a test batch and upped the fo load to 10%. Much better but still a little rippley. 10% is as high as I'm willing to go. 🤣

oh ok...maybe I'll give it a go then. I do prefer preblended waxes.

Yeah I don't see myself buying mineral oil or upping the fo load to 12%. LOL So the 126...it says that additives are recommended? Also the fo load is 5% max (without additives I assume)?

another reply from Bill after I replied to him letting him know how much FO I added. Actually can hold closer to 12 % especially when you get the ripples means can hold even more fragrance. Bill Ok. Wow.

Just heard back. UGH. Sorry for the trouble you are having. How much fragrance are you adding to these? We would recommend increasing the oil by either adding more fragrance the wax or adding mineral oil. Bill I don't even know what to say. I am adding 7-8% (1.2 oz PPoW) and 8% is the max FO load on this wax per listing on CW's website. I shouldn't have to run out and buy Mineral oil to make this work?

This happened to me before with 4794 and it was on IGI's end in the form (too much) of an additive so since the CBL 129 is based off the 4794 I am guessing this is once again the issue. GRUMBLEFarfegnugenLE. UGH. I contacted CW...waiting to hear back. Can't use this wax. I don't use it for candles, just tarts. Frustrating.

Heads up...Ordered the CBL 129 this week and low and behold it's doing it again. UGH.
