I emailed him and asked if I could possibly get a slab instead of pellets and haven't heard back.
I'm having good results with his tart wax...the only thing(s) I do not like are the dimples and the brittleness. I did pour a test batch with a little CBL 125 added to it. (3oz TCS Wax + 1 oz CBL 125) It didn't smooth it out completely but it's definitely better. Gonna try another ratio when I find time.
yes I did...I poured at 175, 170, 165, 160 and 150 even.
The throw is great! I just hate dimples. LOL
I plan on adding a bit of container wax to try and smooth it out.
I also ordered a couple of his clamshells wax melts and it's a completely different wax. Not brittle like the current tart wax he sells. It's the consistency of his old wax that so many of us loved!! Is Loren withholding the old wax from us????
I just received 10 lbs of 3020 and 10 lbs of 3022. I emailed with them and they sent the samples right out. I believe it was Melanie I emailed with. Very nice lady!
CS, BCN, RE, NG, CW, ICS, The Candlemakers Store and The Candle Source country bee, yes you sure can. It's a great wax. It's a hard paraffin that comes in slabs
415 can be very finicky but it's a great wax. I always had very good luck with ECO wicks. CD's did well too but they smoked too much for my liking and I also didn't care for the burnt wick smell when the candle wasn't lit.
I agree with everything stated here it's a great wax...it does have the wet spot issue but it's honestly not something most people even notice. I switched to 4786 because it's closest to my old beloved TCS wax *insert evil stare directed at Loren* I wish he'd bring the old wax back!!!!
I haven't tried NG's but I can tell you that CS' will knock you off your feet. Definitely has both the Orange and Chili Peppers notes when melting/burning My customers love it. Personally I am not sure whether to love or hate it. It's unique.
