  1. I think they do utilize USPS on smaller orders if you ask them to but honestly that should be an option in the cart already. Most suppliers offer it.
  2. Yeah. It's insane. Love some of their FO's but it's getting tough to justify the shipping when I only need 1 or 2 at the time. They offer free shipping on FO's if you buy 100$ worth now I think?
  3. I'm translating as best as I can. My German is a bit rusty having lived in the US for 28 years already. Hello, I use the calculator from NiCandles (a chandler based in Ireland) This calculator is a blessing for all chandlers and so easy to use. Here's the link. https://www.nicandlesupplies.co.uk/blogs/how-to-guides/how-to-calculate-fragrance-scent-load You just have to add how much wax you want to use and what fragrance load % you want...the calculator does everything else. I hope this helps you and everyone who's been trying to figure this out.
  4. I really love the Candy Corn from The Candle Source. It's been one of my bestsellers for 14 years.
  5. This is the 5th ot 6th picture I have seen floating around of a doughbowl that caught on fire in the last 6 months or so. Common sense is non existing with these candlemakers. Sure it looks good and people go cuckoo for them but is it really worth the risk? Nope. Of course these days there are are plenty of people who on the whim decide to make and sell (untested) candles without insurance. Very frustrating as a oldtimer.
  6. I agree with you on the Eco wicks for parasoy...they have done a wonderful job in parasoy waxes for me too. I never had any luck with the in straight soy.
  7. Skewers works well too. I wrap the wicks around them and lay them on top of the rim in a triangle
  8. I used to love WSP but it's gotten so so bad!! People are pissed. And I don't blame them. It's a shame that it's gone downhill.
  9. I hate to be "that" person...lol...but no. Last time I called I got an attitude, got hung up on and overcharged by 10$ for shipping. )
  10. Hi Guys, does anyone know if there's a twin to BCN's Cedar & Saffron? I forgot to order it with my last order and am not about to spend 15$ for shipping on one FO.
  11. oh wow....looks like soy wax does after burning. Ahhhh yes....the wonderful world of wax. Just when you think you got it....you get kicked in the arse! I tell you ...I have been testing soy for 4 years now and it taught me patience on a whole new level. As an Aries that's a big deal.
  12. It's a thick heavy oil. It's used in making roll on oils and used as a solvent for incense. To use as a spray you'd have to dilute it further with alcohol. It's pretty easy but requires some testing to find your perfect recipe. Cyclo would be my next choice. That you can just add FO to it. Same as most premade bases.
  13. I've only ever made it with DPG and FO. Simple, easy to make I've been eyeing this base...may try it later on this Summer. https://vacandlesupply.com/Room-Spray-Base--PreMixed--64-oz_p_671.html
  14. I'm in CT. Yup, it's was 25.69 estimated then it went down to 21.69 when it shipped from WI to CT via UPS Ground. I checked on the UPS website and it showed me 11.95 from WI to CT via UPS Ground. Not sure what to make of that. Even from PA and OH it costs me an ridiculously insane amount in shipping. Especially CW in PA. One bottle of FO shows me 20.92 shipping.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised. I have never tried it. Shipping from BC to me is insane. I just paid 25$ for shipping for 3 bottles of FO.
  16. There was/is a general consensus that EZ Soy is the same as GB/AAK 415 I started my candlemaking journey with it and it's very finicky with fragrances. Glad Soy came a long way since. LOL
  17. I was just over on their website to reorder some FO's and noticed that there's a lot of décor stuff and it looks like they are doing away with paraffin waxes?
  18. I've ordered from all 3 and have not noticed any weird base notes that pop out overwhelmingly in a finished product. They are all good quality FO suppliers.
  19. I am having decent luck with MS. I was looking for a new supplier for Sage & Citrus Type since my other supplier discontinued it and came across MS. I ordered several samples (5 for 5$) I got my shipping notification the next day. Got the order a couple of days after that. The samples I poured all did extremely well for me in my wax combos for wax melts. Mind you...I don't expect days upon days upon days of throw from a 1 oz wax melts. LOL I did notice though that he advertises his Silver 500 as a soy wax with soy additives. I compared the info on his site with other suppliers listings and I'm almost 100 sure it is in fact the same para soy as JS, RE and TFC carry.

    Aztec FO

I never had luck with Aztec's fragrances. I know some swear by them but for me they just don't do it. I love their Woodland Citrus but cannot get it to throw no matter what I do.
  21. I put a few samples in my cart...like 12...and they want 19.20$ for shipping! Hahahaha....yeah. No.
  22. Very subjective ...my suggestion would be grabbing 1 lb samples and trying each. I like 464 but it does need some babying...and it can look ugly after burning. C3 is awesome but it too has it's issues. I get a weird smell from it when melting it....which doesn't come through when burning the end result. Every soy has it's pros and cons. In 464 I have to use 8% of FO PPoW whereas in C3 I can use 6% PPoW and get the same level of scent throw. 464 I can pour hotter and get great tops whereas with C3 I have to pour cool. Get a few samples and try for yourself. For wax melts...I love 494 the best.
